Thank you for this, I'm completely new to 3d printing and I'm starting to worry this is over my head and I hate to be defeated. My printer will be safe for one more day because this just saved it from going out the window!
I was there with you. This is my first printer. Took me about 2-3 days of frustration before I’m feeling somewhat comfortable now. Still printing basic one color models. This morning I created my first model from scratch. A very basic model. A soap dish holder for my shower. Came out just fine.
One the best tutorials I’ve seen on Bambu Studio. I have a big problem trying to print with PC and ASA no matter how much I tweak the settings. Any suggestions? BTW…I’ve been able to print with these on my AnkerMake M5C.
Can you please tell me how to set settings on bambu studio to factory default? I think I changed something on the colling for PLA and now I get defect on the first layer and some warp issues.
Thank you for the informative tutorial! Regarding the infill modifier at the 12 minute mark, Bambu must have changed a setting because the simplified box prints as a new object rather than a modifier to the main object. Do you happen to know how to fix that?
I had the same question, if you haven't gotten your answer yet, I found if you right click on the model then you can import a modifier and then edit the infill. These are different than if you right click on the plate itself and import a simple model. Hope that helps.
Thank you for the video, I was having trouble finding even this much information on Bambu studio. I still don't understand, if I have a separate filament for PLA support, how do I get the slicer to switch to using that filament just for the support parts of the print?
I’m really curious if they plan to eventually allow a direct to printer over Wi-Fi option without having to go through “the cloud”. What if the internet is down? Is the printer dead? (Yes, I know we can use the memory card - but why should we need to?)
So if you want to do a multi color print you have to have a part that already been broken to each color. Or do you just paint the area you want a different color
How do I make it print 3D solid objects. Yes, I know it uses more filament, but this is of less concern. To make the 3D prints solid, I cannot make much sense of the settings in Bambu Studio.
I just tried to add a cube to an area to add 100% infill but i dont have a modifier icon at the top. I can however right click under objects and add cube but when I slice... the cube is still there? How did you make it act as a selection only tool? I don't have an AMS but I don't see why that would make a difference.. Cheers
Thanks for the walkthrough. Looks good, seems like a lot of work went into the interface. Does it have any tool-tips/explanations pop-up as you hover over the options (as in PrusaSlicer) ? If not hopefully this will come in the future. It will be interesting to see how Bambu Studio develops in the long term, particularly how new features added in the main code branches (PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer and now Bambu Slicer) get adopted by the others. Would be nice to see some efficient collaboration, but will commercial competition win? Good test of open-source development.
Very informative video! It’s my understanding the filament is purged automatically at the end of a print. If you are planning to do multiple smaller prints with the same color this could easily purge more filament than is actually used in printing. Is it possible to alter the printer’s behavior so this doesn’t happen?
So the connection is through the cloud and not directly to the printer, if you want to use it over the network. Why doesn’t anyone se this as a major problem? After all, it is simple Gcode that is sent to the printer. So what is sent to the cloud apart from the model data?
@@ruiraptor Thank you. I had been just sending the file to the sd card. I guess you don't see that check mark unless you are sending the file directly from the pc to the printer
can you move the calibration pattern? I've imported a model that is roughly a 250mm circle so it goes overtop the calibration pattern but the entire middle of the build plate is empty
Hi, not with the current version we have. Maybe in future releases it will be possible. However, you can choose to make the pattern or not (flow calibration On or Off)
Gatta peel that band-aid sooner or later. As much as I loved Cura, it's was giving me so many weird stringing and gaps. PrusaSlicer changed all that. Bambu studio uses a lot of traits from Cura while still being core PrusaSlicer and honestly I think I like Bambu studio the best. It's the nicest looking and most simple to use. Edit: English being butchered
If I back this Kickstart with my credit card and they do not deliver what are the chances that I can get a refund through my credit card? Not "debit" card
@@Lee.Davis_onesandzeros up to you man. To me it looks like they are just using kickstarter as a preordering system. I think kickstarter changed their policy, they used to hold ur money in escrow but I got an email saying I'm only charged when they send it to me. It's the people who made dji. U should preorder u get a discount and if we hit 8million we all get 3 extra nozzles
They are already invested two years more than all backers together have put in now. Do you think they want to ruin there company with around 100 employees and machines like injection moulding lines and welding robots before they actually officially start selling products. I really understand your questions and KS is not a shop. But it looks not like a waste of money. Go and do your own research on top of my few points and decide.
I am completely new to 3d printing and this was a great resource to get my very first print up and running.
Thank you!

Great video for a beginner. First one I found where they don’t talk you like a kid
I'd like to know more about how the multiple build plate function works. Like whether or not it sets the printer up for stacking print jobs.
Just got my P1P in and I don't see any options for stacking. Seems like you would have to a pause for you to get the parts off the bed
This printer is EPIC!!!! Thanks for all the Vids Rui!!!!!
Thanks Houdini 🙂

Tha k you! I just had mine delivered yesterday, and some things aren't very intuitive
So it seems they removed some features. I don't see a modifier tool in the slicer.
Thanks ❤

If I'm not mistaken, I believe I've seen them mention that direct to printer wifi is in the works
@@CryptidSpawn it’s high on there list

You can paint it on. It's real easy.
How do I make it print 3D solid objects. Yes, I know it uses more filament, but this is of less concern. To make the 3D prints solid, I cannot make much sense of the settings in Bambu Studio.
To make them solid, just increase the infill to 100%. Search on the tab "Strenght" and change the value in "sparse infill density".

It will not purge if you print multiple at once or separated in the same colour. Just during start after calibration.
@@lazyman1011 So the purge only happens when there is a color change just during the start after calibration?

I guess 0.1 is minimum in the drop down but you may tweak it further down. ATM only hardened steel in different sizes are available.
hi, if I understand it correctly .. the slicer is for printing only .. not modeling, correct?
I am wondering as a new user how to add text to my models?

Their slicer is a fork of slic3r/prusaslicer/superslicer. They'll be releasing the source at some point to comply with the license.
Yeah after KS and minor bug fixing and added features.
Bonjour merci beaucoup 🙂

Later from BambuLab and for backer’s after shipping.
