  • INFJ and INTJ, your introverted intuition is highly necessary to be happy and to be healthy. You need it to centre yourself. You need it to manage stress and to maintain focus.

A supposed INFJ individual here.. (was actually more correctly typed as such from your own test online!) Always repressed my Ni, particularly in social situations.. and always felt the need to chameleon into a rehearsed, inauthentic ESTP/ESFP version of "myself".. which I presented to the world for years.. for the sake of harmony and apparent connection with others, but it's only since I actually listened to my inner voice and stuck my fingers up at what was my current world, which gave me nothing but a plastic understanding of life and all of its possibilities.. only then was I able to feel like I could grow into, own and love who I really am on the inside.. otherwise I would have drowned in an ocean of apathy and despair.. but, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your incredible insights, and hope you know that your knowledge and understanding is propelling me (and i'm sure many others) towards a much richer understanding of themselves and the world!

Your description is perfect. The only reason it feels isolating is because there is no one to share it with on the level you would prefer.

This was somewhat painful to watch, but then I guess every infj watching this probably reminisces on the big mistakes they made while ignoring their Ni. And yet even in these mistakes I learned, by God's grace, that I could forgive, unlock, and open the door to someone I had doorslammed.

    Thoughts from an infj:
I believe the phrase youre looking is existential dread, also a taste for the absurd. As far as staying in reality goes, i cant process reality unless i go dark, inward, and into solitude periodically. And youre right, knowing isnt always necessary but it should bring humility. If it doesnt then you probably arent doing it correctly.
    Imho.

Self chosen solitude has a lot of benefits, its when its forced or involuntary that it becomes a problem. We are so uncomfortable with it in this modern society.

But won't let ourselves go deep in our Ni leads to loop in my case (Ni-Fi) for long time? When I face something challenging in my relationship with others And I go diving deep for answering " why" questions I stuck in my Ni-Fi and I become paranoid And very sentimental, anxious and depressed, Actually because of Ni needs a lot of time processing I get in trouble , I have responsibility to carry on and people around aren't understanding, it's tough , sometimes I wish I could live in a remote island just to take some time thinking things through, thank for the video

..they get sick. Thank you, Erik.
"Fortunately, some are born with spiritual immune systems that sooner or later give rejection to the illusory worldview grafted upon them from birth through social conditioning. They begin sensing that something is amiss, and start looking for answers. Inner knowledge and anomalous outer experiences show them a side of reality others are oblivious to, and so begins their journey of awakening. Each step of the journey is made by following the heart instead of following the crowd and by choosing knowledge over the veils of ignorance."

Best regards to you! Good luck to all the well-willing INTJ’s & INFJ’s. (And those of other types as well)
This ability to view the whole and sense the minute problems is surely to transform us, but furthermore, it is to improve and be used for the ultimate wellbeing of life, in theory and practice.

I’m an INTJ. If you are or, any Ni type... sit down and meditate. Do Qi Gong, tai chi, yoga, pranayama, any of these but definitely meditate and it will awaken all that you need. 🙏🏾 . It’ll benefit any one else as well, but especially Ni types definitely

but how do you know when you're using intuition? What if I'm so convinced I'm using my intuition, but in reality I'm not...maybe I missed something in the video because while you were talking about it, I was thinking and contemplating it...and now I'm even more confused...I feel like I'm going down this never ending thinking spiral...

Can you do a video on INFJ and addiction? I've been smoking for a really long time now, and I know what I need to do to stop, how I can handle cravings, I have all of these ways of dealing with a difficult moment completely planned out, but ... I don't do it. And I should say that it is often the case that I am merely afraid of the first step (not just with this smoke quit thing, but with every thing). Once I've conquered that, it only gets tricky every other month or so, which sometimes I can deal with, and sometimes I can't. But I was just wondering why I'm not doing it, even though I'm completely prepared to face the challenge. I just keep thinking about (doing) it, but then I don't do it. Does this mean I'm stuck in a Ni/Ti-loop, or am I just overthinking this and does everyone have it, regardless what type they are? ... I know it's a silly question, but I read somewhere that an INFJ should never come into contact with drugs, for they are somehow more prone than others to stay stuck in it ... Is that true?

    • @Dragking38
      @Dragking38 6 років тому +2

I would try reading about quiting smoking, watching videos about it, and imagining how life without smoking will be. Stay optimistic and have Faith in your unconsciessnes, you could wake up one day without the urge to smoke - and you should use that. Having the will first, but not putting pressure on yourself might create the right time frame to quit smoking, where your desire to smoke is very little- if you do that for a couple of days and the desire comes back, you still can tell yourself how long you have made it and that it would be meaningless if you would start smoking again, the desire to smoke will show up fewer and fewer, also most of the times less intense. I wish you success, you can make it.😊

  • @Raphsophomes

Yep. People will call INTJs who are actually isfps INTJs who “don’t use intuition” but it won’t be the other way around because then how would you market intuitive biased content to them? Cause you know. This totally only applies to INTJs and Infjs. (Sarcasm)

I wouldn't say that extraverted sensing can have a 'grip'. It's just that INFJs who are in their hero+child loop can resemble inferior versions of ISTPs, with introverted thinking being dominant over the other functions, when they do in fact aspire to be ESTPs. When an INFJ is in aspirational mode they can become superior versions of ESTPs for a limited time, with their pessimistic functions (Fe and Se) flipping to become optimistic ones and their optimistic functions (Ti and Ni) flipping to become pessimistic ones.
