It takes me a long time to see patterns. I have described my experience of Ne as a picture where ideas are like "pixels" that are constantly blinking in and out of existence, popping in and out of view. The "pixels" are very random except once they've popped in and out of view more often, I'm more apt to recall them and hang onto what they are about for longer consideration. Then if a long while goes by and it pops up in a similar situation, I tend to make associations and connections from those. These pixels make up the meaning behind the picture.. why something happens. And in that sense I would agree that it's like digging underneath and uncovering meaning. And when I say they're random, when an idea first comes up I tend to dismiss it or put it aside after a brief glimpse. I don't believe ideas until I've considered them longer, unlike direct experience... it's there and undeniable. It's always the meaning of experience that I question for long periods.
INTP here. This is the best explanation of how my mind works. I have heard several and none have resonated like yours. Also you really captured the difference between INTP and INFJ. I am close to an INFJ and have thought we think alike, which we do on many things. I am frustrated when he can't understand something as I do. I always thought he is being too irrational or I haven't explained it well. Now I can see each of us are going I very different directions, mine all over the place as I bring in all possibilities and interactions. It is like a pinball supernova. There is not usually a nice neat singular conclusion. His swirling yet linear line of thought follows one path and end in a nice neat packaged conclusion. My way of thought actually makes him mad. He actually gets mad if things don't result in a simple answer. I really cannot understand such a stupid reaction. How can you get so emotional over facts possibilities probabilities interactions ect.??! I love your accent btw.
Great content. I INFJ lived 9 years with ENTJ, and I understand now, we could jump from ideas to ideas when talking, but he was not able to know if an ideas could work or not in the future. He often didn't think to the futures consequences of his behavior. That's why he asked to me, if I thought it would be beautiful or work. Or ask me advices. Good intuition, but not enought to visualising. He had basic ideas, but I improved his ideas. Sort of like : Ni 2nd function have good ideas, and Ni Dominant function have best ideas, improve, because perfectionists. I saw what's wrong, the details during the visit of a new apartment. He didn't. I noticed the details that he didn't see in a place. I saw everything, every wrong details XD. Or when INFP she asked me what does means this dream, less than 1h later, I found the meaning of her dream. She can imagine, but she could find the meaning, the conclusion. That explain why I find fascinating and likes black holes in the space.
Some of the best videos ever on Intuition. Puts everything I've come to learn over time into perspective, and it all sits well and true with all that I picked up and how I see that other types experience their intuition as well, both from what is observed and what is being shared. This is a gem, thank you Erik! :)
I loved this. I identified clearly with what you said about judging and not percieving however I identified with both the intraverted and extraverted ways of experiencing intuition.
Heyhey Erik I think it's very good you're sharing your thoughts. They're founded, clear and eloquent. Thank you for sharing! I'm a subscriber since one month and I don't regret. Have a great day ((:
This is the first fast-edit of yours I've come across, I've seen 20+-. I'm wondering about your feedback insights...if a certain type was more likely to be distacted, like I was. I missed seeing hearing the rythem of your sharing. Why did that affect my ability to understand.
What is your type? I don't think you're INTP. I am and my intuition was pegged off scale. For me, the ping pong thoughts which are trying to make connections, find patterns, that just happens. It is how I naturally think. Trying to think otherwise is an effort.
Be honest, as an introvert, do you feel like your second function is extraverted? Or still introverted? Especially for intuitives since MBTI's Si is different from Jung's (Ne too). I have yet to see someone having their two top functions in opposite attitudes. They're present in one attitude, with a rational and another irrational function. Do you think you prefer Ni and then Fe? Or Ti? IMHO, functions are confusing when you see it from MBTI lens. I suggest to try taking Jung's interpretations alone and forget about MBTI for a moment.

the grasp is strong with this one

in other words i see things that lead to a big picture. I don't always go by intuition unless I feel lead to
great video
Thanks :)
I use Ne aux but I don't get alot of possibilities I tend to just figure things or a out come out by examining events thus giving me a result

@@melanie6771 has said in other videos he's isfp he has Ni its probably pretty strong so he though was infp
