Tbf, she doesn't seem to mind being "interrupted". I'm not saying this to criticize her, but she doesn't seem like much of a talker. So I think she was fine with having more of a conversation with them.
This is a bible class on Jesus, not an interview with Hana, about UC. You are right, it is unprofessional. It does not abide by the title which promises to deal with Life with the Moonies. These guys are exhausting to listen to!
I agree. I love this show, but sometimes I fail to watch the entire episode just because I get frustrated that more time isn't given to the guest to go into detail about their experience.
I normally am a huge fan of this show, but this part of the ep seemed to get a little preachy. Certain phrases were very heavily sounding like Christians judging cults and less of the intelligent conversation about a cult situation.
@@bhornyak interestingly enough, a young man walked in to my office about 3 months ago and was doing a fundraiser as mentioned in this interview. He said he was with the Unification Church. I took that just to mean he was a universalist lol. But I looked up Unification church and saw Sun Myung Moon and realized it was a cult. But, I couldn't find much info on the group. Glad Cultish released this as I'm now able to get more info on them without reading their Divine Principals (which is just odd and bizarre, would be entertaining if it wasn't leading people to hell). I mention this to say that the video I shared with you is very different than what the original Moonies believe. At least the guy I'm dealing with and his friends.
I am a second gen considering of marrying someone not from church. My parents denies our relationship. I don’t hate the church, just not interested on what they teach but I like the people there. It hurts when someone you love opposes your dream but if your relationship with your partner and you yourself is strong, I believe we all can overcome these obstacles :)
@orz4169 You are so brave because you married someone outside from the church. Mine didn't fight for our love coz Im not born a second gen. He just said yes to his mom and had always been obedient to the UC and its doctrines with the DP.He got married last June. He is Japanese, so apparently the UC in Japan has been dissolutioned. I went there last August and he went with me on my vacation there even if he was apparently married. And he said his mom and wife knows that he was with me on this trip. His mom would call him everyday even at 2am while were together in the room or while we were on a park etc coz his mom put a tracker on him. When he went to my home country in Manila prior to my trip to Japan he showed me that he had that tracker on him.
Is this group similar to "The Falun Gong"? If not you should do a episode on them! The founder or president got kicked out of China or escaped to America. They have their own compound. Please let me know what you think.
I hope you can alsoninterview someone from Shincheonji thats operating in San francisco now. I was once in their Bible study, but hoping to hear anperspective of a member whos been a teacher already. Thank you.
What scripture says hallucinating plants are bad? I’ve read texts that tell the wine used back in the days of Jesus were laced with hallucinating plants.
The Bible talks mostly about intoxication and drunkenness specifically, but that absolutely applies to hallucinogenics, and drug use in general as well. “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 Being sober-minded, and alert to your surroundings so the enemy doesn’t tempt you when you’re impaired. We know that drugs in general (and alcohol) inhibit your mind. We also know that they lead to unwise decisions, that you wouldn’t otherwise make while sober. Plus, treating your body like a temple. As believers, the Holy Spirit abides in us. I say all of this as a former drug user and frequent binge-drinker. Personal experience solidifies it for me in so many ways. Most of my decisions while under the influence were fully unwise, and I understand why scripture warns us against intoxication. It’s for our spiritual, and physical, protection.
The greek word used for witchcraft is "pharmakeia" which can be translated as "use of drugs" which is not a surprise since its well known fact that the pagans used lots of drugs in their rituals. And Genesis talks about eating from the tree. Nowhere it says that we are allowed to smoke the plants etc.
Why do they keep on referencing Mormonism when they are talking about the Moonies? Also, objectively speaking, what is to say that an Evangelical interpretation of the Bible is more correct than a Mormon interpretation of the Bible?
@@NauvooExpositor That’s my point 🤦🏻♀️ They all think that.....They all need to feel superior for some reason. This is only one reason religion is not only useless, it’s damaging.

True that young lady was too polite to interrupt and he kept on talking.
Well it's the truth... Of someone that didn't understand what the Moonie's are all about.
