Is it just me or did anyone else have a anxiety attack when the Zant's hand first started moving? It made this part of the temple incredibly challenging for me..

So did I, until I realized that if it DOES pick it up, it takes it back at about the same speed it came towards it. I had just assumed it took it back instantly, like a Wallmaster grabbing you in other games. Anyway, once I discovered I had twice as much time as I thought and could take it back whenever I wanted, it made it much less stressful. ~ Caleb
Thank you. I was in a time crunch to play just before work so the stress of that combined with the usual game stress made this area very challenging an annoying. I also missed the heart piece in the first area. I appreciate this walkthrough. I know it will heal me greatly when I have time.
In the Wii version of the game, shake the Nunchuck controller. In the GameCube version, hold down the B button to charge it up and release. Additionally in the GameCube version, you can rotate the Analog Stick and press B immediately after to perform a Quick Spin, but it is rather tricky to pull off unless you have a lot of practice. ~ Caleb
No joke I played this game when I was 12, and this second hand was so hard to get past that I never got past this part of the game until a few months ago!

The hands get me so wound up. xD I think part of it is fears from the previous Wallmasters when I was a kid playing OoT creeping back up on me when I see that shadow hovering over Link. I actually had to quit this one for today because I was just too jumpy! LOVING your walkthrough! So wonderfully helpful!

I actually found that in the second room, you can actually just place the sol in it's spot and deal with the creatures, not worrying about the Zant's Hand. The wall will block it from coming through and you can take as much time as you want.
Yay! I did it! Retrieved the second Sol! In the last room, I just jumped across the platforms; the stressful way, lol. But I dropped the damn Sol a couple of times thanks to those stupid bats. But I got there in the end! I'll just get the Heart Pieces later :)
@get2killn I will be doing both. I'm going to begin working on Majora's Mask soon, but I probably won't get anywhere near finished before Skyward Sword releases, which I will stop everything to work on. As far as you guys are concerned, Skyward Sword will come first from me anyway. ~ Caleb

I hate those hands with a burning passion. this is one of my leastfavorite dungeons of the game just because keeping those sols away from the hands is way too freaking stressful.
When I was about 7, the hand scared me shitless and I think at about 9:24, I accidentally threw the orb after I grabbed it and the zant's hand took it. I'm not even joking that I haven't gone back to that segment in years.

Twilit Messengers mean another "You know you've played too much Twilight Princess when..." moment. I'm surprised there was a section like this, all things considered. Like one of those Hands wasn't enough! But the good news is that we won't see it again. Yet another improvement over the Wallmasters and Floormasters. So the dungeon item for the Palace of Twilight is the Light-Infused Master Sword. Don't you just love the golden glow? Keep in mind that it only lasts while in the Twilight Realm.

It was at this point I gave up on the game. As someone who is prone to severe anxiety attacks, I just couldn't deal with what the game expects you to do in short order. Even after an eighteen month hiatus from the game, I just can't. RIP Twilight Princess run :(
Here's a hint: bring the Sol out and get the sword upgrade and THEN go back to get the Piece of Heart. It will save you a whole bunch of that stress. Just observe the patterns the platforms and enemies move in and react accordingly, and shoot the Zant's hands with the bow rather than the clawshots, and you should be golden.
@1lopezzj As I mention in the video, you can return once you've fused the Sol into the Master Sword, slashing at the fog to make it disappear and the orbs to activate them. ~ Caleb
this walkthrough gets more and more funny the longer i watch. lol i hate the shield attack. no matter what i do i cannot make the attack work. so the hidden skills that require a shield attack first, i completely suck at
in the second room that the zant hand is chasing you just stand on the right platform and throw the sol into the center. then you just ride the stairs up.
Hey Caleb, when jumping into the alcove at 10:14 I threw the sol to the back and fell off, and now there is no way to grab it back. Zants hand cannot reach it. What can I do?

Im in the twilit realms and i have the first sol but i dont have all the peaces of hearts and i want to know if i will get to go back after i beat zant that way it is much easyer for me to get out of the twilit realms b/c the second hand scares me big time.please answer.
Sorry to hear that :/ It's quite a difficult part of the game, especially because you need to place the Sol into slots in the floor to make stairs appear; and the second lot of stairs are too high to climb! I was really lucky; I was already standing on the section of floor which rises when the Sol went into the slot! Good luck, and I'm sure you'll do it soon :)
...I hate this section. The Zant Hand’s really bad for my anxiety, and the gyroscope items are always flaky, but especially when I’m super anxious ‘cause I can’t hold steady enough. (Which, you know, exasperates things even more...)
i keep failing on the second hand D: it keeps falling or i miss the jump!!!! so instead if i screw up i let the hand have it back and for some reason everytime i hit the hand i say to myself "MINE!"
I have currently stopped link right in front of the door to the last room and am now stalling because im too afraid of that hand. How did I do the first side so easily but this side feels like torture?!? :'O I think im just going to rude around hyrule field for a while to calm down :'(

I played it all the time and I beat the first room where you retrieve the first sol. the second room I gave up on after it got the sol right as I got to the door xD and I gave up for like 2 years. Just hit the nun chuck really hard to the left/ shake the nun chuck (Wii), or you can spin in a circle, the press B/ hold B for a few seconds (GameCube).

Every time I attempted this temple I got all the to the Zant's hands and I quit. I was so done (I screwed up a lot in that part).

on the giant stairs part...you dont need to knock it out cuz it gets lost looking for it so dont botherknocking it out when the huge stairs come

I got lucky, I was swinging my sword when he teleported right beide me so I hit him on accident, and it gave me time to hit him a couple more times.
The 'Shadow hand' (Zant's hand) is hard to get away from... this is my second time I'm trying to get away from it!

The Spin attack is the first technique you learn at the very start....
