Happens to work. You know, anything different, thats what they gonna talk about. Race, religion, ethnic and national backgrounds, jobs, income, education, social status, sexuality. Anything they can do, keep us fighting with each other so that they can keep going to the bank. You know how I describe the economic and social classes in this country? The upper class keeps all of the money, pays none of the taxes. The middle class pays all of the taxes, does all of the work. The poor are there just to scare the sh-- out of the middle class. I'm mixed and my family on my mom and dad's side don't really accept me because I'm a few shades too light for them. It's important to talk about it because we didn't ask to me mixed just how we ended up so I'd be nice if even family gave us a chance too to be accepted. Oh and I'm half Navajo, that's one of the native American tribes, and I'm also black n mexican. Supposedly I come from a whole group of peoples where family is a core value but when you come out too light skinned or dark skinned, that same family got something to say and dictating if you're black enough, Mexican enough or native enough. And yes obviously it isn't like this for everyone but I'm talking about those who do have it like this and why we feel being mixed isn't special but it's difficult and we gotta address the fucked up treatment.
@@jenningsmills5398 you choose to be ignorant
African American is a mixed race...We are not 100% African.....
No one hates her.. we love her... shut up
Zendaya is such a beautiful person inside and out. The way she speaks to people, showing she is actually listening and cares about what they say, is magical in itself. She is very smart and articulate. She is so talented, kind, and funny. In a time where it's such a me, me, me culture, that alone makes her even more special.
Zendaya is a Queen in our black community. The respect for her is real because she works hard at her craft and understands exactly who she is and what she represents.
Added later:
I think it's quite interesting how everyone is commenting on her being biracial. I never said that she wasn't biracial. Furthermore, please understand the racial standard in America goes back to slavery days. Oh yeah, we had slavery here for all of those of want to forget and erase history. Like you are still black if you are like 1/8 of black running through your blood. And the brown paper bag standard. Unless this standard has somehow changed and according to your comments it hasn't because you had to say it. You should watch the Free State of Jones if you want to play like you don't know. Well, I don't some of y'll don't.
She ain’t no queen in our community. She is half black but lives white, marry white and plays white on the movie screen. 😂
She's white too?
Zendaya is Mixed. And there is nothing wrong with that......
If Zendaya has children with Tom Holland will you call their children part of the black community too when they’ll be 75% white? When do they become mixed or white to you?
Jesus these comments. If we are going by appearance, she is more black than white but genetics she is half
Crazy how society always tells us black/white mixes to pick a side or that we aren’t black enough
Not only that skin color is magical EVERYBODY IS❤
Zendaya is a real one. Expect haters. Love you, Zen.
She has a white mother so you are going to tell her to forget that woman that birth her

Hey, she is in a class all to herself! She is gorgeous, has a positive attitude, and she's talented and humble!
Positive attitudes toward things is magic itself!!…don’t succumb to human diminishing & dehumanising!!…Go Zendeya!!❤❤❤
I liked Zendaya until I heard her in this video clip, trying to pander to the Woke mob... She's acting like she's only successful cause she's light skinned??
Bit of a slap in the face to all the dark skinned actors, past and present, who are WAY more talented and successful than she'll Ever be! Don't you think?
@@morticiag that’s not what she was saying, because she is light skinned she has a privilege that other darker skinned black girls don’t have and that needs to change
@@BlackRoyalty-hh8tb How does the industry treat black people??
How are all the black actors and actresses poorly treated??
Zendaya is NOT more privileged than others who are Darker skinned:. Oprah Winfrey? Lupita Nyongo? Angela Bassett? Queen Latifah? Naomi Campbell? Tina Turner? That fat chick ? Etc etc etc.
..
Zendaya is Less talented than them and earns less money and is less popular than them...
How many Asians or whites are acting in Nigeria's Nollywood's industry?
@@morticiag Hollywood has always had it out for black women, Zendaya has a privilege over dark skinned women like Lupita, like Oprah because of a little thing called colorism
I'm Algerian and my hair defies gravity.
Nothing defies gravity, all skin adsorbs light
We love her because she knows about her privilege and always speaks up to make a change. She an ally to dark skin people.
Some gate keepers of being black did the same to the great Whitney Houston. I was shock that Al Sharpton call her Whitey Houston. Just because she her music appeal across colour. They do the same now to Lizzo who is not racially ambiguous.
Speaking up and actually doing things for change are way different. You think she’d jeopardize her popularity in many races to actually help the black community and look like a villain and woke person?🤣
Nice to see the world changing for the better in a few aspects. I'm lightskinned, and when I was a kid, darker skinned kids never accepted me as black.

Zendaya is very humble and very proud of her roots.
A LIE from some people on Social media, Zendaya is a light skinned Black Woman! Colorism is very present in the Black community, mostly toward Dark skinned Women ! But some of our Light skinned Black Women or Men face this also!..🤔🥰
She is as Black as she is White; she can and should claim both sides rightfully without fear of backlash from either race. Her genetics have determined that; not me, not you or anyone else should tell her who or what she can be 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
How come they never claim the white side? It’s not hard to claim both, I do!
@@ImogenShade good for you...though there is pressure in general from society, the same old bs which is out there. We are who we are and never should anyone feel that pressure..also like you Zendaya there is the assumption you think your white (which yeah you are) comes from and still exists the privilege of being white which is easy to say it's the problem of those black or white know it and there is the pressure. That's the reality of society.
Well said 👏 👌 👍
She is a combination BUT she would never be asked or expected to represent whiteness. She should be able to embrace her biracial identity, which she does. In that process she acknowledges a 'light skin' privilege that aspects of black cultures also puts on a pedestal.
100% agree.
She has a unique look and her father was able to push her and make moves.
