This is so related to a movie called Gifted The plot follows an intellectually gifted seven-year-old who becomes the subject of a custody battle between her maternal uncle and maternal grandmother. It feels so related except in Dharmann its the father.
I’ve seen that movie it’s really good!
now they have a kid that thrives to learn and they are trying to stop her.. just wonderful..
How are they stopping her
The dad is stopping her cause he doesn't want her to skip a grade or get in a gifted program. But she likes being in higher grades and stuff cause that way she is challenged in 4th grade she isn't. So the dad is kinda stopping her te let her gift work
Difference is though... Ella enjoys being smart. And gets a smile when she takes those tests.
And Patty wasn't. She wrote in the journal stating how She never could make her mom happy. The dad probably Thought Ella inherented Patty's Traits to her and thinks The Grandmother will push her a little too much like Patty.
I used to enjoy taking tests etc. Then I started getting pressured by my family. They were never happy. I eventually went NC. Now I am feeling happier

It seems like Ella actually enjoyed having her gifts and loved the idea of being ahead. While her mother hated being pressured and overworked and wasn’t being able to be a kid. Yes it’s nice of the dad for Ella to be a kid, but he’s trying to pressure her into being one. She’s still one, but she does have her own mind and decisions, so he could’ve asked her how she felt about everything and support her.
There should be a balance between the both 😊

I think there's a difference the mom wasn't ever proud of her daughter while the dad always is. If Ella lived with someone who doesn't support her like her dad did she would of ended up like her mom
