Hope wields the Phoenix almost as powerfully as Jean. Rachael Grey is the only other Summers/Grey that can wield the Phoenix on Jean level. IronMan screwed the pooch royally trying to meddle with the Phoenix. Wolvie selling Hope out to the Avengers justifies Wolvie being killed off down the line
