Do you think it would have turned out differently if Egypt had not started a rebellion before the attack on Greece? The Greeks only had so much time joining forces and preparing because of the Egyptian rebellion after all. 13:35 Why did they suddenly want a deal? I thought their goal was to show the Greeks what would happen if they were opposed. 15:00 WHAT??? wow don't ruin it for me (it was 2.6 million vs 300😡😂) 15:35 Nuh uh ☝🏼🤓. You could make a video about famous formations and strategies of different times and people, the Greeks with the Phalanx formation (yes I had to google that word), the Vikings with their Shield wall or also very famous the Romans with their Tortoise/Testudo formation. 27:15 How did Persia even become an empire if they were so badly equipped? Damn spartans were just different, good video I enjoyed it, keep it up bro 💯.
Haha, the Spartans fought 5 BILLION (give or take). Herodotus is interesting to read, really, maybe I will do a few readings or full ancient texts. I think with the Persians it was kind of the right time and place, and manpower. They might have been badly equipped to face heavily armored hoplites but they were fine to face other small kingdoms who didn't have such armor, and then there is the journey, cant be too weighed down with all that gear.
@@ASMR_Historiangood point, large amounts of soldiers were levied by imperial decree. So equipping and providing logistical support for them by each satrap and the empire as a whole wouldn’t have allowed them to equip large amounts of heavy infantry at the same time, even if they got them all the way to Greece most likely. Quantity over quality has its value too.
Thanks a ton for all the hard work you've been putting in! It's really appreciated!
My pleasure! Glad you enjoy the videos, more to come.
Kudos to the creators! This video is truly awesome and deserves recognition.
