I’ve had my car since 08 and I’ve been pissed all these years for this reason. Thank you 👍🤝🙏🤬🤦♂️
Actually I find the red brake light more annoying😂 But great tip for others. I have led bulbs so less stress on alternator.
Thanks dog, this worked on 2004 Pontiac Montana.
I just tried this with my 2000 Sienna and it works! 11-11-22
Definitely worked. Thank you sir
Worked thanks pontiac montana
watched another video that recommended cutting a wire, I then went 2 and a half years without tail lights, needless to say, that was not a valid solution
That made me laugh a lil too much lmao sorry to hear that
Oh man this is brilliant. Thank you!
Got many more videos about Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix (and others) on this channel.
It worked thank you so much
Good advice, man !... its working very well.
Anyways, the Matrix hand brake is usually crappy loose, so no problem if you lift a click.
BTW, I am in Canada and my 2004 Matrix XRS is from USA and it has that DRL.
I like it, because I dont have to turn the lights when is night. Its basically like automatic lights, but always on...
Now I will take care to lift a click on daylight startup, to not be on anymore !
The automatic headlights will still work. Just not during daylight.
Thanks for sharing
I'm curious how that will affect your car long-term, is your emergency brake engaged while only one click?
No. Doesn't hurt anything.
thanks bro
Seeing that I’m north of the border, every car sold here that didn’t come from 🇺🇸 has DRL equipped and I absolutely HATE it ! I like being able to choose when to turn my lights on fully and being able to come in “silently” at night time.
So every car I’ve ever owned, that fuse is pulled.
But these new cars now have them tied into the BCM module. Still trying to figure out how to disable it on my 2019 Spark.
I disable it on any car of mine as well. Hate it. This car, you can't just pull a fuse. There is no easy fix other than messing with wiring, modifying relays, etc. So gay.
@@HorsepowerHouse Tell me about it! I’m in the process right now. Come to think of it, I should document it. They make it so hard on the newer cars.
Weird did not work on my 04 vibe base. My double DIN dims with my headlights and I can barely see it in the day. I also own a 2003 matrix, I will try it in that car.
Should not be affected by DRL. Check wiring etc.
@@HorsepowerHouse tried it again this morning and it worked, I think I was suffering from a case of user error. You're the man!
Thanks
See Thanks button under the video
Dude, i cant believe this actually works! Will this hurt the e brakes? Ill take the brake light being on, that i can easily ignore, over burning through numerous sets of bulbs.
Doesn't hurt anything
Does this work for 2009?
You will find out when you do it
I just tried on my 2008 Matrix. It works. But isn't that bad for the car? To drive w the hand brake up??
No
This doesn't effect the brakes at all?
Why would it. It's only one silly click.
If your parking brake is too tight for one click, loosen it. Very simple.
