It was a very busy arrival and made (at least for us viewers) a very instructive video on what happens with multiple planes wanting to land. You (Kevin) are one cool pilot under pressure.
That climb through the clouds and the sun shining so bright was breath taking literally. Would love to experience that in person one day, our earth is so beautiful. And the land looks like it goes on forever like a never ending map so flat and perfect almost looks like a simulation with how perfect the clouds are too. thanks for sharing !
Hey Kevin, thanks for your reply on your last video. I put it to the test on Saturday when I flew from St. George UT over to Page Az. But I still did all I could to hold altitude. Smooth air made it a nice flight and easy to maintain
Hi Kevin, great video, very interesting and kind of scary after that aircraft that became a threat! Couldnt see it thru the go pro. Very eventful approach that time!
Not only are your videos fun to watch, they're actually great for training! If you ever get into ECG, I'll give you the deluxe tour. (USCG Aviation Depot).
G'day Kevin, Kevin here from Australia. Great video the centre camera position and split screen towards the end was awesome. The busy landing made for great entertainment. But im betting a bit stressful for you. Anyhoo thankyou for sharing stay safe and stay well. ✌ Peace man.
Was slam dunked into San Diego years ago (in a 172). Tower put me in front of an MD80. Tower also wanted my best forward speed ...lol. MD80 went around ...
...thanks again Kevin...that looking around everywhere on a swivel was really making me dizzy...keep up flying safe... and thanks for sharing all your great videos ...
Caught your comment about not putting down flaps at lower altitude in case you lose an engine. I'm not a pilot but know that once you commit to flaps at low\slow there's no safe way to retract should you need to. Another very interesting video.
Kevin, I always enjoy the way you keep us in the loop and educate us too. Saberliner to a Decathlon is a pretty wide range of performance to fit into. Hope you get better "clear" weather for your next flight. Take care.
Kevin, Whew 😅, that was intense‼️ Great camera views at the start‼️ Big Saturday coming up- Dawgs eating the Pachyderms‼️ Smart vs Saban‼️ ‼️GO DAWGS‼️
I'm having flashbacks, I worked ARR tower from 1977-1979 and RFD TWR/APC twice 1975-1981. Weekends at ARR often had hourly traffic counts of 100+. I recall having 10 in the RWY 27 pattern when a Lear showed up on final! I often used an overhead pattern to work in fast aircraft like yours. I'm also a PP and flew new Cessna's back from Kansas and around the area for Luminair. Those were the days. Thanks for your videos. FH
Kevin...I got to fly right seat in a Beech 18 with a buddy of mine, who was flying air freight for Blackhawk Airways out of JVL back in the 70's. We flew all night, carrying parts for GM plants in each city. We went JVL, STL, ORD, STL, JVL. put the bin full of parts into the plane, tied it down, then crawled over that bin of parts into the cockpit! I was amazed how busy these airports were at 2 in the morning....especially ORD!! Great fun pulling that all-nighter!!
Thanks Kevin, enjoyable video to wake up to. That's why I always recommend to students, learn to fly at the busiest airport you can. No better way to handle traffic if it's part of your flying from day 1.
That was an interesting arrival!.. Keep you on your toes :)... love your plane, never flew a twin engine..210 cessna was the biggest one for me, but usually 182, 172, ect...I had a cessna 140 for kicking around in, wish i had kept it..great video, take care, be watching..
Great video. I have some B-18 time from long ago. Cargo hauling in Michigan. A great pilot I knew put one down in a field fully loaded with cargo after losing an engine one time.
that beach 18 made a great skydiving airplane back in 1968 i was 16 yrs old. i think i got 85 jumps out of that plane. then the dc3 .what a rush keep the great vids coming thank u
FINALLY! A long time question has been answered! Long time ago, we're talking Sky King time frame, I saw a photo of a 310 at cruise with the boarding steps hanging. I've often wondered if that was that was normal. Thanks to your "Belly Cam", I now know that they DO retract! Enjoy your vids. 💖
Super tail shots!! Hope you will use them again. I normally pucker up when you take off and pull the gear when one foot off the ground...well, that's the way it looks in the gopro. Rear tie down camera angle shows the truth!
Jeez... You made me think today was Friday. ;) That was an interesting one! As for the "clear skies" ATIS, Microsoft Flight Sim is like that ALL the time. LOL! - Lauren
Had a good Freind that owned a D18 since 1965. He donated it to the Beechcraft Heritage Museum a few years ago and recently passed away. I enjoyed a few flights in it.
Hello!! Found Your UTube Channel while watching Premier 1 Driver a couple weeks ago... just got curious and here I am!! Have viewed about 6 of Your Vids... interesting stuff! I am not a pilot, but just like Aviation in general, and "follow" a few pilots here. Also, I am an original Auroran, and know that area quite well. Now live in the Minneapolis NW Metro since 97'. Keep flying safe!
Just putting it out there. Low COVID numbers and mild restrictions in coastal Mississippi. Just sayin... I enjoyed this flight. I especially respect the cooperation, temperment restraint and cool confidence of our pilot. Another fun hop of vicarious passengerhood. Thanks, Kevin.
Thanks Kevin for the great videos! I remember when Aurora Airport was just a dirt road in the cornfield and an old barn in Sugar Grove. It's great to see it so modern for you pilots! Nice flying! From a fan in Albuquerque.
Kevin, did you get to ride in the Lockheed Electra at ACCA in Kansas when you were there? I did and it was a fabulous experience. Since that very plane was used in the filming of the movie Amelia, the Star, Hillary Swank signed the inside of the door. That too was a beautiful highly polished plane. The low pass over the runway was a great feature of that ride.
... mid ‘70s at Little Rock AFB trying to wedge my Aeroclub 172 in between a pattern full of C130s. “Fly 360s in the vicinity of Base Gate. I’ll call your base.”
Nice! I remember taking lessons in a C172 at the Aero Club at McClellan AFB in the mid '90s and will always remember the tower telling me, "Runway 16, cleared to land, caution wake turbulence from the landing C-5 Galaxy." I had an instructor with me and I'm pretty sure we extended out downwind for a while to let it dissipate. But it was pretty neat sharing the pattern with a C-5.
Reminds me of the first time I flew into Midway in a 182 RG as a private pilot. My biggest concern was remembering to put the gear down. The hell with the traffic.
It's the first time I see the foot-step retracts and extends together with the landing gear. Why is that? Looks like no sense to me, specially for the take off and landing with that thing extended? Great job on doing all the right things, know what to do, in that busy ATC! OH and you showed that bling-bling polished plane before in one of your vids. Looks awesome! Thanks for showing it again.
I’m always listening for you when flying into/out of ORD. Yesterday (10/20) was the first time I thought you worked us. We you working UA 2777H at 1430? Always look forward to your adventures. I use them to convince my wife we “need” an airplane. 😁
Hey Kevin... Love the channel, Thank You...Great Times! As a recently retired controller myself, part owner of a Dakota and occasionally crew on a BE20 and a CJ3, have time also in a C402 and C414, BE58 and C310 I am considering buying a C310, doesn’t fly as good as the BE58 but is way more comfortable and... yes, Cool! Soo Sexy! Every twin I have flown, the owner wants it to be flown a certain way... engine management stuff. I would LOVE it if you do a episode detailing what why and when you are doing with your mixture, CHT’s, EGT’s and fuel flows... and anything else you can Opine on. Thanks!
Well, that was fun.. great job Kevin, you dealt with all the goings on like a pro. Thanks for the ride.
Great work. Your experience and calm demeanor really paying benefits.
"Oh hey Kevin" made me chuckle more than it should.
It was a very busy arrival and made (at least for us viewers) a very instructive video on what happens with multiple planes wanting to land. You (Kevin) are one cool pilot under pressure.
Bad case of being low and slow, glad you made it down. appreciate the videos!
Thanks Kevin. Very interesting flight.

Hi Kevin, great video, very interesting and kind of scary after that aircraft that became a threat! Couldnt see it thru the go pro. Very eventful approach that time!
Thanks for the view of the Beach 18, and yes, that would be a cool flight, hope you get to go !
Always makes me nervous when they forget to tell you that you’re cleared to land, especially when you’re on short final. Nicely done!
Not only are your videos fun to watch, they're actually great for training! If you ever get into ECG, I'll give you the deluxe tour. (USCG Aviation Depot).
Hey, watching from EC. Former HH3F AD3, retired HSC.
Another great one! Always good getting some breakfast and enjoying a morning flight.
The tailcam gives an awesome view! At first, I was like, "That looks like a flight sim."
G'day Kevin,
Kevin here from Australia.
Great video the centre camera position and split screen towards the end was awesome. The busy landing made for great entertainment. But im betting a bit stressful for you.
Anyhoo thankyou for sharing stay safe and stay well.
✌ Peace man.
Beech 18's are true classics. Great planes on par with the 310! Great video, enjoyed the busy adventure.
Awesome! Aurora was really busy! You handled the compounded stresses pretty darn well.
Was slam dunked into San Diego years ago (in a 172). Tower put me in front of an MD80. Tower also wanted my best forward speed ...lol. MD80 went around ...
There are some SHITTY Controllers!
@@scottp6539 All human.
Literally one of the best videos on entering a busy airspace I’ve ever seen! Fantastic job Kevin! I was in disbelief that Saberliner did that.
Amazing to be above the clouds ⛅️
My grandparents both worked at the Beechcraft factory in Wichita, KS during the WW2 timeframe. They were part of the assembly crew for Beech 18s.
They were probably C-45s at that time. It would be awesome if you had pics of them at work.
Stay safe and thanks as always for bringing us along for the ride! =] Wow. The professionalism of all involved is inspiring.
That was crazy. What a wild traffic flow!
" shouldve gone with my gut"......I know the feeling ! Nice video.
"Not my best."
The airplane is reusable, right??? Great landing!!!!
...thanks again Kevin...that looking around everywhere on a swivel was really making me dizzy...keep up flying safe... and thanks for sharing all your great videos ...

Nice flight getting Dizzy . Great flight

Kevin,
Whew 😅, that was intense‼️
Great camera views at the start‼️
Big Saturday coming up- Dawgs eating the Pachyderms‼️ Smart vs Saban‼️

That’s was crazy getting back to Aurora and that ATC was busy working with those landings and departures
Like the tail cam and the also the cam showing the gear during takeoff and landing.

That was an awesome climb. I love it when the diurnal cumulus are forming all around.
Wow that’s a lot going on, good job Captain

Always interesting, thank you.
Thanks that was a sweet surprise
I did not realise the steps fold up with the gear.... that’s pretty smart 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Kevin, enjoyable video to wake up to. That's why I always recommend to students, learn to fly at the busiest airport you can. No better way to handle traffic if it's part of your flying from day 1.
I definitely look forward to that Beech 18 video in the future! A gorgeous classic!
Didn’t realise that the boarding steps retracted as well on the 310!!... very nice!!
Boy that was a little crazy Kev , I don’t remember it being that busy there .. great flying !
Love the new camera angles on the intro!!!
Most traffic we've seen coming in to Aurora! Good job!
Hey Kevin, Beech 18 is on my list too but a ride in a Staggerwing would be the ultimate. Beech sure knows how to build beautiful aircraft.
that beach 18 made a great skydiving airplane back in 1968 i was 16 yrs old. i think i got 85 jumps out of that plane. then the dc3 .what a rush keep the great vids coming thank u
Great shot from the underneath on take off! Keep up the great videos love your channel.
Wow, that’s some nice flying you again are doing, talk about your head on a swivel ❤️
Always enjoy your Vlogs Kevin. Keep up the great work! I love that 310!!
This turned out to be very educational. Thanks!

Interesting approach including a pop-up IFR and all the traffic. Well done!
Had to stay for the Beech-18! Thanks Kevin!
LOVE, LOVE, Love the RMEF t-shirt. I'm off to Idaho in 10 days for an elk hunt!!!
Dang... never seen Aurora so busy. Stressing me out Kevin!
That was a workout! Great job! Stay safe and happy landings.
So amazing your video ✨
Good job Kevin. Glad you had a good breakfast as well.
Kevi, very informative as to flying an approach with heavy traffic!
I used to fly skydivers in a Beech 18......I hope you get a video made with that guy!!!
Thank you, Kevin
Hey Kevin, really like the tail cam footage. Looks like you got your money's worth on your approach to Aurora this time.
Super tail shots!! Hope you will use them again. I normally pucker up when you take off and pull the gear when one foot off the ground...well, that's the way it looks in the gopro. Rear tie down camera angle shows the truth!
Great job Kevin !!!
“The Landing Rodeo”
I learned a great deal thanks; watched 4 times each time picked up something new…. The ATC must be worn-out by end of shift 😊
Jeez... You made me think today was Friday. ;) That was an interesting one! As for the "clear skies" ATIS, Microsoft Flight Sim is like that ALL the time. LOL! - Lauren
Nice job, Kevin. For a short flight, you sure had a lot going on.
Had a good Freind that owned a D18 since 1965. He donated it to the Beechcraft Heritage Museum a few years ago and recently passed away. I enjoyed a few flights in it.
Hi Kevin I love your videos, very interesting and enjoyable experiences. From Australia
The shots of you actually flying in and out of the clouds were really good.
A beach 18 is on all most everyones bucket list. That would be a great opportunity for you.
Excellent editing. Your shows are exciting to watch. 👍
well that was interesting, always go with your gut Kev, and i loved the new cam locations.
Kevin,
It looked like that ATC had his hands full, but as always, you maxed the situation:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Always wanted a ride in a Beech 18......gorgeous airplane 👍
Very busy flight!
Had to do the same thing at PWK one time, dirty bout 1/8mi from threshold and 200ft, only one 360 though. Fun, Fun.

When the title said arrival into a busy airport, didn't think you meant Aurora. Great job as always.

Thanks Kevin for the great videos! I remember when Aurora Airport was just a dirt road in the cornfield and an old barn in Sugar Grove. It's great to see it so modern for you pilots! Nice flying! From a fan in Albuquerque.
WOW, with all that traffic I thought you were going to KORD. Busy day !!
Interesting approach for sure. Also, a little taste of what the external cameras will show!

Wow Kevin, bit of a stressful approach. My guess is that Jaime was happy she missed that flight. Thanks for the mid-week video
The landing was.... I even closed my eyes! at some point. Good that you're ok!
... mid ‘70s at Little Rock AFB trying to wedge my Aeroclub 172 in between a pattern full of C130s. “Fly 360s in the vicinity of Base Gate. I’ll call your base.”

Absolutely love your tail camera. that's what I use for flying my RC FPV Carbon Cub.
Very unusual approach for sure. That Sabreliner was really causing some issues. Glad it worked out ok.
Reminds me of the first time I flew into Midway in a 182 RG as a private pilot. My biggest concern was remembering to put the gear down. The hell with the traffic.
Very very interesting I wonder what Jamie would have been saying lol

Great job on doing all the right things, know what to do, in that busy ATC!
OH and you showed that bling-bling polished plane before in one of your vids. Looks awesome! Thanks for showing it again.
Man... that was a helluva mix of airspeeds in the pattern. Did you log two landings at Aurora lol The BE-18 was GORGEOUS!
Your welcome for support
I’m always listening for you when flying into/out of ORD. Yesterday (10/20) was the first time I thought you worked us. We you working UA 2777H at 1430? Always look forward to your adventures. I use them to convince my wife we “need” an airplane. 😁

"Not my best" but still a very very good landing Kevin!. Its the kind of approach where all skills comes to good use. Love your channel!
