Really comprehensive overview!! I really like the Kodiak. It reminds me of the older Grizzlies before Yamaha did the body re-style. I bet you're so much happier with this than the Rubicon. Good review, man. Subscribed. Looking forward to watching more.
Looking for one now still no inventory, only 1 available in st.john nb. Of all ns,pei,nb, just bought a 450 for the wife had to go to pei for that. Really frustrating and the pricing is stupid when the same model in 2022 was almost 2grand cheaper and nothing changed
@@jamesdoucettedoucette868 Try Liberty CC in Dartmouth, N.S. They had a Grizzly 700 and Kodiak 700 in stock when I was in there on Friday. Yes the prices are ridiculous now.
I've considered a kodiac 700 to add to the stable. I have both a rancher 420 and rubicon 520. Overall they are good reliable bikes but it would be nice to have little more pep. The only thing stopping me is I just am not a fan of the cvt transmissions. There is just something about having gears and having control that adds that fun factor. The other thing is the cvts always seem to just have that drone sound as they go and have a whine and that bugs me. Honda and yamaha have old designs that need an actual refresh and that is what I am holding off for. The first one with a parallel twin cylinder engine is going to capture the market as they will finally be more competitive with canam and polaris.
How exactly did you break your brake rotors like what was the offset on the rims you put on? Reason I'm asking is now I'm scared I just ordered new rims and tires for my 17 Kodiak 700. Stock offset I believe was 4.5 + 2.5. My new rims are 4 + 3. I also went one tire size larger and one tire size wider. Front 26-9-12 rear 26-11-12
It was the offset of the rim that bent my rotors. I have a Honda pioneer, and without thinking, I tried to put the Pioneer rims on my kodiak, not realizing there may be a rim offset issue. Just be careful before you tighten the lug nuts down that the wheel doesn't contact the inside of the rotor.

Thanks for the run down on the kodiak
Nice cabin!
Picking mine up Monday! I had to buy it in NB, there's nothing left for new Yamaha Kodiaks and Grizzly in Nova Scotia right now
Nice. Yep, there's a shortage. A coworker has to wait until August to get his Outlander.

What is the back seat/trunk? I like it!

what skid plates did you go with on that?
Rival. It's a Russian brand surprisingly.
The 708 engine is better by design. DOHC, 4 valve... You should read about the term, confirmation bias. The 708 is a great engine and so is the 686.
708 👎🏻 built by Subaru
@@garrettlavigne4753 Subaru makes great engines. Are you joking?
@@garrettlavigne4753 Its by no means some American made engine or Chinese engine, thank god!
Not joking.. Subaru makes unreliable engines, very flawed design.
@@garrettlavigne4753 So the Japanese, and Germans (Porsche) are known to engines that are unreliable? When did this happen? That’s big news! Lol
