It is oficial the next update is fixing the vivid mode to look like the s23. You are dealing with Samsung not Apple 😂
Samsung officially confirmed that it was intentional. I don’t know why people are complaining. I like my phone to be color accurate, not oversatured. They also have to get rid of HDR10+ and just get dolby vision. I know they are in a format war but idgaf. I’m tired of my iPhone 15 pro max friends having a better display than Samsung, the king of displays. What kind of clown show is going on at Samsung recently?

I feel ripped off and hope that somehow someway there's a class action lawsuit against Samsung because I spent more money than I could afford because I wanted to buy a nice phone to have for years and this phone has been so bad from the start I'm willing to go back to iPhone 7
Why would anyone want to have screen that displays the red as orange and entirely inaccurate colors. You make a photo, when you send it to literally anyone else you see something entirely different. WTF?!
To each their own my friend, I see nothing wrong with maintaining the old vivid mode (more saturated colors) as an option for a large segment of users out there. Natural mode for those who prefer more natural colors (which j consider overly mutued), and a proper vivid mode for those who prefer the more saturated look
@andrewshiu5872 indeed the colors are muted, but this is samsung's fault. Because they went with the vivid mode initially. All their icons are muted, so that they can look "normal" on Vivid mode. Apple keeps the normal mode, but you would never say - their colors are mutted, because their entire system was made for this color profile.

@@droo3010 it looks awful. Icons that are designed to be orange, look red and vice-versa. It melts your eyes. Probably only kids like those since as we all know the young people prefer more colorful stuff. Especially the babies which can't yet recognize proper shapes. The colors attract attention.
Doesn't help with the crazy bright and harsh whites in the dark. My 24u gets swapped out for my note10+ when the sun goes down. Considering returning the 24u, it's plagued with problems, and there is no scrren protection that doesn't make the anti reflective screen properties pointless. Guy already scratched his here on yt from just being in his pocket.

go to sceen mode > vivid > advance setting > set vividness to full....you will get super bright screen like s22 or s23 ultr

White balance settings in the vivid settings turn down the red and green and it gives it the vivid look it's the best fix I've had the contrast thing he says I don't see a difference there

MY brand new S24 Ultra does not even have this entire menu under Setings. There is no Developer Options area. Why would this be? I've done a Search- and that title does not hit at all.
I'm also missing all of Camera Assistant, under the Camera settings.
Quite displeased so far.
You have to go to About phone > Software information > spam click "build number" until it asks for your phones password. After doing this developer options will be unlocked.

I find that there is a minor difference between the two modes like you mentioned. But I actually think because of the anti reflective display, the blacks are very very inky so the colours look even better. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think the display looks fantastic. I wouldn't be disappointed either if they decide to make the colours more punchy either.

Using the s24u. The screen is Definitely different to s22u but I think it looks better
Idk if it's user error (idiots who don't know accurate colors) or my phone is lucky, but my 24U has exceptional colors. Coming from a 23U too

Theirs an app called good lock that can change the keyboard for you, not sure about the effect but you can change pretty much everything else

@wouter.d.h. In my opinion, it was better. Some may feel differently and some may not. My S22 did not over process photos after taking them. The photos are fine until it does its processing and then they are garbage.
That's because the updates haven't hit yet I thought everyone knew that
@danielmoore8766 I understand updates haven't hit yet but every single photo I take currently, gets over processed horribly. I have reset camera settings and turned off HDR in the gallery and minimized the optimization in the camera. I have also tried using RAW. Every indoor photo looks absolutely horrible. It doesn't matter the lighting either.
@PEQUENA978 I second this, my S22 gave a way better color to my gold chains. Now they have a blue-ish tint lol..😢... hopefully there's an update before I just keep my s22
Why does nobody hit the "Advanced options" under the vivid and natural selections?
You have to set the vivid bar to medium or max because they have it set at low to begin with.
because it was added in an update after people asked for the option to adjust the vividness themselves

I have decided not to upgrade this year... the first time in 5 years. To me there are not enough reasons and I am not convinced that this phone is really better than s23 ultra which is a fantastic phone for me. SAMSUNG THIS TIME REALLY MESSED UP THINGS and they know it very well or they would not offer so many perks to convince people to buy the new phone
I prefer the natural mode.

This is a widespread problem across all the galaxy s24. there's a lot of post about it. there's a lot of differents reply from samsung rep/ what's baffle me the most is still no real eta if this going to be adressed or not. at the pricetag of this device. this is not aceptable. i love my s24u but my s22u is 10x better than this.

My screen looks great, I'd rather have it natural than over saturated.
I prefer the normal look myself, but it is all about having the choice to swap saturation levels. People who like a more saturated display are obviously not as happy as people like you and I.
Personal choice.
