I am very hard on my phones. I'm in texas so my clothing choices do not provide many places to put larger phone; deep pockets etc. I have been through several s23s this year. Mostly because of them being refurbished through insurance. I used otterbox commuter until i saw what it did to the edges of phone. I just got the s24 and do not want to repeat same pattern. Is a bulky case such as ottterbox the way to go for premium drop protection? Fan of the clear silicone based styles,don't really care about magnet ability. Just want my phone to be protected.

I got the Caseology by Spigen Athlex Design as my everyday case, stylish and very grippy in the hand (important for a big phone). No magnet but may as well get the spigen Zero magfit version. Not cheap or grippy but people like the graphics and the magnet good. The thinborne is A$118, way too much!
Sorry if this might be a dumb question but ive heard of certain cases interfering badly with the s pen, and i do love the Caudabe Sheath one...does it impact the s pen in some ways? Planning to order it so I hope it doesnt make problems

Most cases don't but when they are used with a magnetic accessories that's what will interfere with the s pen and this has been my experience with my 2 s24 ultras
@@silver-wing88 I got samsung's original antireflective screen cover for s24 ultra in the store whose one of the partners is samsung. Its good enough for me since i didnt wanna kill the antireflective coating on my s24u by putting 3rd party covers and it also seems to resist scratches nicely although I do take good care of the phone. Cleaning is easy too, I just wet a microfiber cloth in the warm water and wipe off the screen.
I'm using the UAG XTE Pro and it's amazing they squared off the edges so it's not digging into my hands plus you can use magsafe with it and the protection is just top notch.
For many many years my phones were always protect3d by otterbox defender cases. With s24 ultra i wanted magsafe in the case and the defender doesnt have that so i went with the uag monarch pro. Though its expensive i have to say its a great case
I like the design of pitaka. But I'm afraid to buy it because of the price + I'm unlikely to use nfc buttons.... I don't know.I'm also watching Thinborne. Will it be able to protect the phone if it's dropped?
I have 2 versions of the Spigen case, the black in the video, and they released a white one that looks even better than this one, and is my favorite S24U case. The magnets are outstanding on them. I like the Pitaka case, the buttons are great and original, but I hate the S-Pen cutout. It's too small for my liking. I also like the Magbak case. It's a really solid case, but it can be a little heavy and not pleasing to hold if I'm using my phone for a while.
Spigen cases are top notch..always use them..plus i got the spigen camera lense protectors which look really cool, especially the l-series edition ones
i like your passion and i respect honesty, so bravo to you, could you also show some wallet style cases with Maglock as i can't stand screen protectors and have always just used a wallet-style case instead with a lens protector to provide all-around protection.
Really appreciate this video! I had to go for the Montage, it's just too nice to look at. And now to wait for 5-15 days to use my new phone. And yes, I am one of those people. Until this things has a case, it must not be given the chance to face gravity!
Please add comments on the clickiness of the buttons, if they feel loose, too hard, etc.. Good video and agree with most of your picks. I had the caudable in my Iphone 12 pro and the magsafe version in my 13 pro. Love that case but is not the most protective. My 13pro felt from my lap, not so high tho, and suffered a dent through the case still. Now with my s24 ultra i went mous route. Super sturdy and lightweight but a little too chunky for my tastebuds and also is peeling from the sides, something weird tho. I'm in between the pitaka pin case and the caudable. Thanks

I have the magbak case. Used it for my S22U and now on my S24U. Aside from fingerprints on the back, it's the best case for me. I tried the Pitaka, the Spigen, Otterbox, UrbanArmor. Nothing compares, in my opinion. Ithas the best magnet. I can stick it onto any metal surface. Doesn't interfere with the touch or pen. Individual camera cutouts. Now, they include different button color options too. Absolutely love it!
I got the athlex casology and it's fantastic, very grippy which is important so you don't drop it using with one hand. I'm not in the car often at all (but worth having another one I can use when i want magnet).

The Magbak missed the cut for me this time. The one i got was poor, the plate inside that holds the magents on fell out of mine and the buttons were poor this time around for me.

All the cases you’re looking at are magsafe, but I was wondering if you had any recommendations on a case with form of a grip that wouldn’t have s pen interference. @@balhazer Drop protection is important, but when you advertise a Magsafe case and the magnets are one of the weakest then that's an issue. The last thing you want to worry about is your phone fall off a car mount let alone dropping it.

You indeed review the add-ons features but, miss to put to the test or even grade by looks how likely a phone would survive scratch free from a beaten.

I would recommend trying the Caudabe Sheath. I'm currently using it on my S24 Ultra and it's great. Good drop protection and grippy texture.

S24 ultra im between athlex casology and rugged armor liquid havit but is Slippery for me
Athlex has a great texture. But lack of Magsafe is a no from me.

They are kinda similiar, the big difference between the two is the material they're made from.
What no mous case on you're list, personally I used them and think they're great. But there is a lot of choice out there
I have a review of the Mous case for the S24 Ultra, the Magnet strength let it down massively.
I got both synthesis and pitaka pin button.. Love both of them but the pitaka added nfc was the icing on the cake for number 1😂

If i had to pick between the two, Caudabe is the one. As you can see dBrand didn't make the top 10 on this list.

It's a widely known issue with the S Pen, although the cases i've shown in this video have the minimum interference with the S Pen.

I would definitely recommend upgrading to a Qi2 wireless charger to futureproof yourself.
