Hi Paul, your videos are great. Thanks. That 4020 is a gem. Its like a Mack truck, they each can retire 3 generation s. Great videos.
My health has been a roller coaster but back into You Tube you guys help for getting threw my day.
I started on a 4020 an a "B" model mack twin stick! They are still running an so am i.lol.keep them coming thanks.
To pull them liners you can make a puller out of threaded rod and two pieces of flat iron and nut, may need to tap the bottom of the sleeve to pop it loose with the puller pulling on the top! Had to do that to a case 1370 once to get them out!
Great video !!!!
Really full an interesting content on the video Paul/Steve 👍 to get the liners out u can get that freeze gas in a can an shrink them a bit perhaps enough to get them out 🤔👍👍
awesome videos Paul, hello from ND keep up the good work
If your fitting new liners heat them up with a Oxyge torch that does work have made pullers out of a flat plate with a hole and threded rod and a plate on top and wind a nut down the rod keep packing up the top plate as you wind it to
Great camera angle of cattle running in
Nice Loaner tractor👍🏾 Good thing Paul knows how to overhaul a tractor engine.
Yep it's pretty handy to have him around! Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@stephenfonder7409 your welcome
Paul and Stephan, I cringed when you had shown that bearing. I thought, oh crap! not a wrecked crank. Hopefully the plasti-guage reveals good clearances.
Doc
Hello Paul great video enjoyed it thankyou. 14000 hours can't complain. You can crack the sleeve makes it easy to remove. I'd put new pistons sleeves rings bearings the works in it. What church do you attend? You seem like good people would be nice see your place one day looks great. Have a good day
Thanks James. We attend the local Catholic Church.
Boy oh boy the inside of the block looks really clean 👍 what brand of oil do you usually run ?
Schaeffer’s partially synthetic oil with Molly in it.
Full of action Paul and Steve, hope the sensor replacement go well and fast, great to see they give you a T7 to work with, nice progress on the 4020 Paul
Did you get engine oil cooler cleaned and checked for leaks.
I wonder how many hours are on the 4020 ? Tractor looks clean 👌
Over 14,000 hours.
How’s your shoulder holding up since your fall Paul?
It’s doing pretty good. There’s sometimes I can still feeling a little tiny bit but overall it’s it’s pretty much back to normal.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
4020 would look great as an open station
We actually took the cab off one time to replace the brakes and so some work on the rear axle 16 years ago.
It seems your new Holland's are homesick for the dealer's shop..
I grew up on a 4020 i'd be lost in in that blue tractor..
new oil pump for sure
I think so too. I wish I had checked the engine oil pressure before I tore the tractor apart. I’m going to also check out all the oil galleries by blowing compressed air through them.
You should repaint that tractor
That would be to do.
Good catch on the piston problem. Now what caused it, ??????. One of those things that could of happened from the factory and never roared its ugly head.
I’m wondering if it had low oil pressure. It does have a low oil light pressure sensor on it. Basically when the oil pressure gets too low the light is supposed to turn on. I’m just wondering if that low Oil pressure indicator sensor was getting bad. I wish I had checked the engine oil pressure with a gauge before i tore the tractor apart but I kind of forgot about doing that. I’m thinking about just replacing the oil pump and I was also thinking about putting in a new oil indicator sensor.
Those are all great things to do and now would be the time to do it. But does the wallet have what is needed, lol. It only looked like it was on the one rod. Oil pump would be a great one to do now with it right there. Other then that, what I saw looked pretty good. Best of luck.
Thanks Tim.
