Lawrys is a big staple seasoning in the African American families...Adobe & Sazon is a big staple seasoning in the Spanish families...however we African American uses Adobo & Sazon seasoning as well...I'm not sure if the Spanish families uses Lawrys seasoning(at least I know my Spanish friends/families uses it)...me personally being that I cook American Jamaican Spanish some African & Haitian dishes I use every nationality seasonings
Lawrys is very salty Tasha ps ket daddy do some of the explaining sometimes the talkin is too much it should be the cook explaining sorry I njoy ur family a lot a born Jamaican watching from Fl daddy I love how u love God Sasha I would love to see u cook some time
The price not right it sold in Walmart for 87 cents sometimes the highest it sold for is one dollar sometimes and most times the carribean stores has ut for 3 r 2 for five dollars
I’m not Jamaican, but I am black. I think it means make do with what you have.🌹👍🏾❤️🌹❣️🙏🏿much love to you beautiful queen Sasha❤ big ups to the family …… also thank you god for not letting the queen get popped
I met them at the airport when they landed in Fort Lauderdale. What a pleasure it was. Unfortunately, I did not meet Sasha. I will most definitely be trying this recipe as I have all the good seasoning in my cabinet. 😋🇬🇩🇬🇩🇬🇩
Hey Sasha 🤗 I use Lawry’s for certain foods like Chicken or Fish when I’m frying them or on fried potatoes. Adobo is an all purpose seasoning for just about everything but it depends on what flavor it is. I mainly use the seasoning packets which is labeled SAZON.
I'm new & loving Deddy & mommy and you too Sasha! You have a beautiful singing voice!! ❤❤❤ Lord Ah Mercy!! 🎶🎵🎶😂😂 Florida gal here and loving it but got to have swimming pools & air conditioning when the heat gets too hot! 🔥😂❤
Sasha, I am from the old school. If you ain't got it, make due with what you got. That includes ingredients, stoves and can openers substitutions. Tee Hee Hee Hee. My state of Georgia grandmama and my St Thomas, US Virgin Island mother in law taught me.
Deddy is A BOSS in that kitchen. Actually, when I heard 'Run Down', my curiosity was was peaked. That dish sure looks puuuuuuuurdy. I was just shopping the ingredients and I don't know what Flori-duhhhh is on but at Walmart's, it's priced at $2.32 for 13;5 ounces. BTW, to answer your question about popular American seasonings, when Lawry's seasoning salt first came out back in the 70's, it was really good. Over the years, it became salty to me. I use Adobe if the recipe calls for it but I really can't tell what it adds to a dish. Thanks Deddy for another fabulous recipe.
I really love this episode because it shows that Jamaicans are truly resilient. Yes Sasha we tun we han and mek fashion meaning we make do with what we have. Sister Ruddock you look amazing!! ❤ No man hats off to Deddy for using the dull knife!!! I would not be happy but would have to make it work!! I make creative in the kitchen but never have I even think of doing chicken rundown. I have done Salmon before so I am going to try this!! The stove not working good omg Mighty God of Daniel I would be pulling my hair out!!! Yes I love my gas stove its the best!! What kind of kitchen is this without a spatula omg!! So proud of you guys for all the success you guys inspire me!! God is good.❤❤

Sometimes, it's good to try other seasoning and herbs
