- Temporal Assassin is a TCCM (Total Conversion Character Mod) for GMod (Garrysmod) that puts players in the shoes of Kitsune Wilde.
Wield new weapons, new abilities and quick agility as you wade your way through the Half-Life series and many other custom campaigns and maps.
Original Temporal Assassin maps and storylines will come eventually!
After 8 months of working on this as a passion project that i poured my heart into i'm finally able to release it for others to play and hopefully have fun playing it.

The discord is updated with patches and community content constantly, If you're looking to stay up to date, the discord is the place to be. However the Google Document also gets updated alongside the discord a tiny bit after the discord gets updated.
All footage shown was recorded by myself and one of my dedicated testers.

Why isn't this on the Steam Workshop? I'm on a Linux machine, which means I cannot use your batch scripts and so have to manually maintain a copy of TA. Going through the workshop means maximum compatibility across all platforms GM runs on and comes with automatic updates built in, plus it makes your mod a lot more discoverable. Is this because of a technical limitation of the Garry's Mod workshop?
This also makes it really inconvenient for those who want to distribute TA-compatible music and map packs. I'm already seeing some dead links.
You're also distributing your game with a bunch of DLLs that I cannot use.
@@kawcco The DLL's are windows only things that offer some expanded things in the game, Doesn't matter if you're not using windows since if that's the case they won't be loaded or used.
Yes I don't upload it to workshop because of the limitations and also the shitty community.
The TA music packs are made by fans/discord community members, They're not obligated to keep their packs available or up-to-date but it's nice if they do.
You don't have to use the BAT files to run the game, you can launch GMOD manually in 32 BIT mode (Normal branch) and select TA from the bottom right then load into TA_HUB.
Compatibility with other OS's isn't exactly something I can ensure either, I'm not some million dollar trash company that can buy every OS and test every possible problem, What happens is what happens.

i can understand if there are dev versions and all, but usually if release candidates shouldn't be really discord locked, maybe put it in a mega/Gamebanana/steam workshop or something.

It is uploaded to Mega/Google Drive however the Links to it are in the Discord, There's quite a lot to explain about the mod and how it works and the information doesn't fit in any descriptions.
I also wanted to try and sort of "Bottle Neck" potential interest because i'm rather anxious about this kind of stuff.

@@magenta_iris i appreciate your explanation but bottle necking The interests also bottle necks the feedback, i can understand as to why but i hope that at least future stable version do not have to have to be this way, still looking forward to it in the future.

As a side note if people could get the mod without going through discord then the feedback i think would be less since they do not have anywhere to post bugs, I suppose they could always join at a later date or let me know personally but there isn't many places to do that.
I'll work my way towards more public download links soon, i just hope that people can read what's mentioned before downloading it since it can be a little complicated. Thanks for letting me know!

You need to have Garry's Mod
Install rar from second link in description and extract all files from this rar in GMod folder
Then you start GMod, select this gamemode in gamemode list (bottom right corner), select New Game, 2 players, the hub map and start playing!

@@McGeezle Not yet, I don't plan on it either, got a lot of other stuff I want to work on, and mapping is a pain in the ass.
I'd like to wait until valve put out a Source 2 map editor that's a million times better and faster than Hammer's first iteration and then Back-port from there to conserve my life-span.
@@magenta_iris so these map packs you linked like Entropy Zero for example, is it just the same EZ ported over or is it actually designed for TA and just based on EZ?
Forgive me for all the questions, I'm new to all this shit and I wanna play this mod but just not in the same campaigns I'll be playing in other mods
@@McGeezle A fair few of them are just simple setups done in-engine to add TA items and progression and what not to the original map packs.
However things like Old School and The Citizen have more in-depth story surrounding TA than other map packs do and the packs made by Abyssal Crow are likely the best of the bunch.
