    Great video thank you! I’m not super familiar with Paul Mitchell I have used it back 20years ago lol looking for a great demi for my daughter and we are goin to try a new line @cosmopro this was helpful. How well does it cover over other Demi’s in a different line a shade same level?

  • @init4hair

    I feel stupid asking this but this is what I’ve always done. Can’t u mix the permanent color with 10vol to make it demi? So I’ll touch up the grey with 20vol to cover the grey and then I’ll mix the same permanent color again with 10vol just to freshen up the ends

    • @meganlorson
      @meganlorson  4 роки тому +6

      Emily E yes you can! Not a stupid question at all! 10 vol gives minimal lift and deposit only so it makes it the perfect option to put on the ends 👍🏻 I’ve done the same thing

      @America12412 3 роки тому

      Old school & very cost effective..toner last longer in hair as well..clients like that

    • @America12412
      @America12412 3 роки тому +3

      Also...you can drop 20 vol to 10 vol.by diluting with water...( there is actually a dilution chart you can google )using the same color mixture ..rather than remixing.
      I also like using the same color with different levels of developer in order to achieve a dimensional look..for example, making your client's hair 3 shades of blonde ..brown etc.in one appt.
      Weaving/ painting the hair with the variation of colors , while the new growth is processing

      I have always mixed it with 10 volume (manufacturers instructions) and I have never had a problem with it lifting and I let it process for 20 minutes. Maybe try 10 volume and give it another try and see how it does for you.

    What would you do if you are 100 percent gray on top, 50 in the back. Hair is dyed dark brown. I used the color with 10 volume for years. I can't use 20 volume at all. It makes me itch like crazy even with other color brands. 10 volume is permanent for me. This last time used xg with 10 volume and it's not fading at all. I want to let gray grow out. I don't want permanent color. I want it to fade out completely. During the process, I don't want half my head gray and bottom brown. I normally do roots every 4 weeks now anyway.

    Hi so I had a lady who had some 9-10 level highlights but wanted lavender and ash in it and not permanent. So I weaved in some 8V and 10PA of the creama XG. And she said lavender got washed out first wash. I don’t understand what happened ? Can you let me know what could have happened.

I am about 70% grey, but have been getting full coverage for years with shines XG (5N or 5NN) with 10 volume (processing for about 55 min). I don't not want to switch to permanent color, but I am so confused. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

      You should try the Demi or try crema do the same thing you normally do with the shines. You will probably get the same results if you like the shines the Demi is pretty much the same thing. The Demi is a bit more translucent and the crema is a more opaque

    I love pm shines but since they discontinued I’ve used the Demi twice n I agree it’s shiny but the coverage isn’t the same nor the depth I’m using same process solution as the shines should I up the level to get more coverage? I would hate to have to switch to Shades from the other guys 😬

    • @meganlorson
      @meganlorson  3 роки тому +1

      With the Demi there are multiple ways to use it so depending on how you use it will determine your end result. You will always get true deposit/ more opacity when using it on dry hair and letting it process for the full 20 min. If using on damp hair to tone I typically let it process from 5-20 minutes just depending on if I am toning a blonde vs refreshing someone’s ends. I actually usually feel like the Demi is pretty accurate and if anything goes about a shade darker in a lot of cases. What shades are you feeling like your not getting enough coverage with or seeing enough depth with?

    • @meganlorson
      @meganlorson  3 роки тому +1

      I will also tell you that only the N series, NB, BV, and Gs have a brown base and all the other shades are just tone with no brown base

    • @soleilemil2348

      Thank u so very much for your advice! It’s the reds not as deep but I did use on damp hair so I’ll stop that n also noticed with 10A but used 10 volume with that the next time n it was great hope that’s ok! Again thank u!!!
