You gotta wonder where did the water come from? Did someone spill something on the seat? They are designed to keep water ingress out of the module and connector. Good catch mate! 😊😊
Designed to but.... I have seen so so many different components in the electrical system of VW's with water ingress over the years (coming from a very rainy climate 💦😉) Door modules used to get literally soaked and play havoc with central locking and windows. Water could easily slide past that connector and soak up around the pins. I imagine if that seat was soaked for whatever reason it would have allowed water to get to the pins for sure. I have seen on VW's where the boot got water filled and then under braking the water used to run over and into the back seat area. (similarly on many other models) It's a possibility, either way some fluid was present by the looks of it and has since dried up in this 40 degree heat 🔥😁😉 Thanks for watching mate, always appreciate your input 🙏🙏
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage We have crazy weather here in Oz. Yes, I've seen water in strange places and as you said, it does depend on the driving conditions as well as the weather. Ah, ya gotta love being a technician! 😉😉
Awesome ... great work. Wondering why there is no rpm signal during cranking.. Is that VW being VW? Without a scan tool I'd also be looking at Crank sensor? Just an observation.
Thank you 🙏🙏 The RPM on many vehicles doesn't shake the dial needle up and down, I had a colorado the other day and it was the same. looking at the live data you can see the RPM change. Thanks for your kind words 🙏🙏 much appreciated 💪
Hello. I have a VW Eos that cranks but sometimes doesn't start especially when it's cold. After it's warm it always starts. Any ideas what might be? I'm suspecting is the battery. Thanks.
Hi there, could you please help me know which one of these Nexen tires will provide more comfort for a SUV with 255/45/r20 size? Nfera Supreme Nfera Ru1 Nfera Ru5 these are the ones that are available in my country/region, and I wanna pick the most comfortable one among those.
I do not have any experience with that brand of tyre unfortunately. There are so mamy different tyre options out there but that is not one I can give any honest direction on.
Great video. Been fighting my Mums Golf mk5 1.6fsi with the same problem for weeks and have ordered the same part. Hoping this resolves it, can't test it as my multi-meter is broken! What probe are you currently using?
i too had the same engine, got an epc light and turn off while driving,i quickly made to side and did scanning, found low fuel rail pressure error ,tried clearing dtc and starting but no luck so i towed to nearest service center ,after it arrived there the car has no issues they scanned multiple times even drove for few miles no error code or issue , they looked the fuel filter and its fine not much clog,is it advicable to change pump or control module as preventive, also i'm getting very low fuel economy(below 15-20mpg or 15-17l/100km what could be the issue ,i asked to check the 02 sensor but they are arguing if its failing i would get engine light ,also the power is also less what could be the reason for this?currently odometer just over 1,00,000km ,thanks
I subscribe as i have a volkswagon golf and just got this issue im not a mechanic but glad to know someone posted a video on the problem.
