I chuckled when he got to Michigan and started with "avoid Flint and the entire Detroit area." That's good advice when not in an apocalyptic situation.
I just imagine like 100 years from now someone finds this notebook and wonders wtf is happening. Like someone thinks its a treasure map and spends years trying to figure it out.
And then another Jacob finds this video, 3 years later. Little did we know, a virus 🦠 has turned the world mad and countries are more tense than ever 🗡 we push ourselves closer to the inevitable end ☠️
I absolutely love that none of the parties involved are explained. It’s just like “The Road”, and it’s so awesome. He just assumes we know who the entities are, so we come to our own conclusions.
The real question is do you have it on a cassette tape because I’d like to listen to this in my car being that I live in Alabama and need this information on the run.
I really hope people keep updating his wiki, I really love how ER has been making videos exploring the depths of his world rather than focusing on new characters, Nothing wrong with either though so far.
Man, only your cows are mutated? You see, down in bumfuck nowhere Oklahoma, we have a full roster of mutated shit! Suck as: bloodbugs, deathclaws, bighorners, Brahmin, stingwings, aliens (sons of bitches are everywhere!), ghouls, feral ghouls, and some mutated horses, don’t know what to call them yet, just...stay out of OK, it’s shit down here, seriously. ( how could i forget the mutated coyotes! They’re like feral dogs, but give you radiation poisoning.)
thank Lord Cthulu for this transmission, one only knows how long the Arkham tribe would've lasted without it. Avoid Tuscon??? But I keep seeing those signs that say "Alive in Tuscon" along the highway. Is this the reason you don't want us to travel major roads??? Is this possibly "Last Man" living in Tuscon hostile?

One thing I would like to let you know is that at 27:10, down near the southeast border of Idaho and Utah, by a lake called Bear Lake has a few towns around it, the biggest being Montpelier, and the surrounding area has an airport, and lots of farms, and game to hunt. Good place to live out the apocalypse.

Welcome to Alabama: Beware of random dudes wearing nothing but their tighty whities and carrying a rifle on the side of the road (an actual fucking thing I saw when I got lost and ended up... somewhere. I also saw another guy on the side of the road who was shirtless and riding a very small pony)
UPDATE ON KANSAS: Lawrence, Kansas has been established as a safe-haven, and like Medford, Oregon, has been walled off from the Interstate and guarded with high security. No militia or scavengers are granted access and are incarcerated or neutralized once spotted.
To ER, I received your transmission notifying anyone who was listening of safe and dangerous zones. I figured that I would write in and let you know that in the next transmission include that rural St. James, Missouri is a definite safe zone. We are on the old Interstate 44 but we've managed to secure the area from hostile hands. Right after the world ended, families swarmed to the veteran's hall here in St. James. Most being from military families to come help out their veteran family members. While all were there, an agreement was made that we would stick together and help each other get through these times. We set to work fortifying the town but building a wall around the perimeter of the downtown area. It wasn't a nice wall being made of broken wood and metal sheets, but it provided shelter from the outside world. We have a decent arsenal and weapon shop as were able to intercept some weapons from a military shipment. A few local farmers run a market for food. And we have a clean source of water thanks to Meramac Springs being right next to us. We've fire up our old iron works there too an have been making bullets, armor, and anything else we need. We've even been able to improve our wall to be almost completely iron. Refugees from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla fled to our little community from the group that had set its self up there. They had formed from the remains of the college, a group without any moral convictions, a organization called the Miners. They set up shop in the mines hence their name. The Miners typically stick to Rolla, but sometimes we do get a small attack or two. We're doing good for ourselves in this wasteland. We still have school, but we teach combat skills as well. It's sad we have to do it, but it's necessary. Feel free to let people know we exist as we welcome any settlers! I hope this reaches you in good heath, M Altis

Over and out
Can you follow this up with a car ride asmr? Like a video of what you would pack and a video driving to a safe place lol. I feel like that would be awesome!
Iowa should be avoided. The vast amounts of corn are perfect hiding places for hostile entities. On the flip side, once all the corn is dead, the incredible flatness of the state will allow you to see hostiles from miles away. It’s either the best place or the worst place.
As someone who hails from both Ann Arbor and Detroit, this is entirely accurate. Especially now with Covid. Detroit/Wayne County is one of the biggest hotspots in the country; meanwhile Ann Arbor has U of M and they're just doing their thing.

this is my favourite video ever. I LOVE everything that has to do with apocalyptic situations and ending worlds. I donr know why this makes me feel so safe though haha
Same! Love anything about apocalypse. I have watched everything on Netflix and Amazon prime similar to it. From the walking dead to the book of Eli, How I Live Now, etc. I get what I call Deja Vu dreams. And in these dreams, I will dream it then later on see it in real life and it'll shock me.
**weak transmission** Avoid Milwaukee many hostiles and radioactive. Avoid Racine county many hostiles. If you avoided radiation from Milwaukee and Chicago and the many hostile groups in the area there is a decent community/quarantine area in Kenosha. Several communities in Northern and Western Wisconsin. Several non-human hostiles in the woods in Northern Wisconsin. **transmission ends**
I'm from Milwaukee! I live here now. I'm originally from Oklahoma/Arkansas. But Milwaukee is my hometown (where I currently live). And I'd definitely avoid here apocalypse or not. You come visiting thinking it's a nice place if you want. Better not have a Kia and definitely respect gunshots at any part withing Milwaukee county city limits. And don't be surprised by it. Don't be surprised if you kick a bullet casually walking (which I did two months ago and have a Snapchat of proof lmao).
A woman in a coma wakes up in the middle of the he night, grabs her phone to check her favorite UA-cam ASMR, and finds this. She’s gonna be like “Dude what happened to EVERYTHING EVER!”

SO CLOSE to ER casually mentioning where I grew up but also....the Nuclear power plant is on the eastern shore of the state. But good idea x-ing out Bridgeport and Hartford. Apocalypse or not, stay where you feel safe.
I chuckled when he got to Michigan and started with "avoid Flint and the entire Detroit area." That's good advice when not in an apocalyptic situation.
gigan22 sad to hear that the place i live grand rapids is a X i was like come on

Avoid Milwaukee many hostiles and radioactive.

I'd avoid here apocalypse or not. Dangerous asf.
Gangs and plenty artillery here.

My mother in law lives in Mendota Illinois, so I think the "hostile entities present" label is pretty accurate
I'm getting a strong Half Life 2 vibe from this.
josh .porter Half Life 2 confirmed
I hate half life 2
Me too. What a great game...
I am really so excited for part 2 of this video
What a beautiful map. Feelsmapman :(
I live in Colorado and the fact that Yuma has a settlement makes so much sense. So I would like to commend you ER for some excellent research.

Nice
Plot twist: he is Preston Garvey marking settlements on your map.
RIP Maryland, sure hope I convinced my parents to move :/
A woman in a coma wakes up in the middle of the he night, grabs her phone to check her favorite UA-cam ASMR, and finds this. She’s gonna be like “Dude what happened to EVERYTHING EVER!”
This aged well
Watching the marker head closer to my hometown (Colchester CT) only for it to mark "Westchester" an actual PART of Colchester. SO CLOSE to ER casually mentioning where I grew up but also....the Nuclear power plant is on the eastern shore of the state. But good idea x-ing out Bridgeport and Hartford. Apocalypse or not, stay where you feel safe.
