Tim Smith , love his wines, his straight mataro - magic
Good bloke too
Loved this episode! I really like Monastrell from Spain (Juan Gil makes some great stuff) but have been on the hunt for an Aussie Mataro for some time now, (not easy to find where I live in the U.S.). Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you guys in the meantime - I leaned a lot.
Oh we gotta seek that one out!!!
Super episode, good to have the gang back together. Thanks for all the honesty and thinking-thoughts that made their way into the final edit along with the laughs.
Cheers mate!!!
You look like 70’s cricketers off season
Great job. Mourvèdre is good and most I’ve had are in blends. Need to find more single expressions of it.
Check out Tim Smith's straight Mataro
I'll echo the comment about Monastrell from Jumilla, and also the producer Juan Gil. Great stuff coming out of there, at great value.
We'll need to search out and get some!
Maybe an underdog episode?
I love that this video has happened. I’m on a mataro spree at the moment as I love doing side by side tastings of single varieties with my mates, and there are some stonking versions kicking around! Have picked up some Yangarra, Samuel’s Gorge, Wendouree and Swinney ‘Farvie’ in the last month alone! Sussex Squire in Clare do them well, too. My missus is going to hate it when she watches this video with me! Keep up the good work boys!
Oh hell yeah! Mataro Sprees are things that absolutely have to happen!
How this Channel not have 100k + subs? Either people hate wine nowadays or not have the internet.
Hahah thankyou we appreciate it!!!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS! ;)
We out here trying hahaha
Mate! We are trying!!!
How do we improve Mataro?! Put some other shit in it!
Haha certainly seems that way!
You need to try the Tim Smith Mataro...
I think we certainly do! @@carlawiese-smith9939
needed a bandol to really make the point imo
Very very fair point!
interesting seeing the swinney rose getting shat on, it has a rep for being one of the best roses in aus
Honestly - surprised the heck outta me. We all independently, unsolicited and totally blind, came to the same conclusion. That rarely happens.
Swinney -- Best fruit out of the Great Southern by a country mile!
@@blacksalami420agree! Their reds are fantastic!
@BrendoVino Andrew Hoadley at La Violetta gets some of his fruit, and does some spectacular things with it.
But yeah, pretty tough to go past a Swinney Grenache at ~$40!
Pretty confident Andrew Hoadley could do amazing things with anyone's fruit TBH - although I 100% agree - Swinney's Grenache is utterly phenomenal!@@blacksalami420
