I never noticed it till I put the revmax trans in. It feels like lash to me. When the exhaust brake kicks on it loads everything one way and when you kick the throttle on quick it loads everything the other way so any lash in either the rear end or trans causes that sound. That's my theory anyway because if you don't run the exhaust brake you don't hear it as much

Also , may go Ezlynk for tuner, But won't push more than the 36/60 HP tune . the hell with 100 plus HP tune. hahaha..... Let me know anything ya can. Tillthen I baby my virgin 68rfe
A 700 series will run you right around $8700. I installed myself. I would do an ezlink with higher power performance tuning. Their trans tuning really helps make a stock trans last. You can do a valve body, converter and input shaft for around 3k and hold the hottest tune with no problems.
You can run a revmax converter and valve body with a other wise stock trans with a deleted truck even with some of the warm tunes and not have issues as long as you drive it wisely ie don’t do boosted launches and don’t do a lot of 5th, 6th gear pulls in the upper level tunes with the usual 30, 60 hp tow tunes the trans will last you for many years even with a heavy foot

Scott Cravens you ran a triple disc with the stock input and a RevMax Valve body and it was fine? I have a new RevMax VB with a new Solenoid pack, new Billet flexplate, and RevMax triple disc converter and I’m contemplating putting them in my stock trans or if I should just suck it up and get the whole thing rebuilt with the 700 rebuild kit.
@@sonictraxx I'm saving up for a 4th gen as we speak. Was going to delete,& tune with this exact trans setup, was curious how it would hold up? Did you bite the bullet ,or try this route first?
Still running stock with no delete? Those 68rfe drop like flies when you delete em.
No it's been deleted since 28,000 miles. Dynoed 576/1028.
So that was just deleted and tuned? No other mods like fuel or anything? Cuz she rips asss
Khenan Bedingfield yes only deletes with tunes. It definitely rips for what it is. I raced a newer 5.0 mustang and was about 2 truck lengths on him from 0-70 then he started to pull on me but I was totally shocked I did that well lol. Have a godspeed 67/67 HE351VE turbo coming next week so I can't wait to see how it runs with that. I'll post a video when I get it on
Lyle Ocker very impressive, lots of people get these trucks and think they are just dogs but it's because they need good trans tuning to manage that power and put it to the ground and your video speaks for itself. Looking forward to seeing that turbo upgrade
Lyle Ocker that's just an upgrade stock vgt right?
Khenan Bedingfield yes just a stock turbo milled out. Want a 2nd gen swap at some point but want the experience of running a larger vgt turbo first..
Lyle Ocker well that's awesome because my brother is on the fence on what to do with his so hopefully you put up some good content of that upgrade set up
