That Lucas Transmission Fix is good stuff! I use it in my 2003 Ford Taurus with almost 300k miles. Original transmission too.
do you drain or just fill?I too have 2003 ford taurus
@@MrDonbgge I wanna know too
I'm from the UK & this does work! A family member recently purchased a Honda Jazz (2006) 75,000m without test driving it,the CVT was juddering when pulling off & less than 50 miles it went away!
I just want to inform you that it is not intended to be used with CVT's, please keep an eye on that vehicle unless that was a while ago and it is still fine.
This worked on my 2003 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 , used to jerk when engage to D or R, Malaysian model have a 4 litre capacity trans so I put only 12oz when change with new oil. At first it don't show much improvement. It only worked wonder after 4 days. Feel smoother, no more jerk. Now already a week, still doing great. Hope it will last.
I just bought in Shopee, gonna try on my 6-Speed Aisin AT
It says specifically on the directions that you can add it to the transmission without draining a quart out.
If you use the whole bottle you do I'm pretty sure
make sure that you have dex 6 compatible fluid in the transmission. Anything else will destroy the clutches on a 6L80. Learned from experience, had one last 10,000 miles with the wrong fluid
There's so much "Kool aid" out there about the friction material being in suspension in the fluid. I'd like to assume that anything sizable or ferrous would either fall to the bottom or stick to the magnet. I tasted the Kool aid and thought what if you actually add friction to the fluid? What would work? Go big just put sand in there. Well say goodbye to the valves and the pressure will drop. Anyway good to hear Lucas does work in the right occasion. I believe in changing the fluid as it becomes a different color
Hmm did I hear that correctly that the transmission was flushed around 58,000 and now it is around 80,000 miles? I have had several Chevy vans and none of them made it to 110,000 miles without transmission problems. All were flushed at 60,000 and new filter--supposedly by mechanic shop but I could not watch the actual process. Either GM has junk truck transmissions or these shops are not really doing the fluid changes. I don't want another Chevy or GM product. Hope the Lucas works. Keep us informed. Thanks for the videos.
Any update?
Thank you for the video. Its been about 10 months since you published this video, how's it doing? Thank you
Do you have to flush out a bit of trans fluid before pouring in the Lucas?
All depends on how much fluid you got in it
Take out half a bottle amount then put in half of the Lucas oil...but make sure the engine is warm & running!
Yes, it worked for me
My transmission starts slipping real bad on the freeway the car would not move,
How much should you add to a full transmission?
Take some out with a fluid pump through dipstick tube or carefully through the radiator lines. I have another video where I do that with Lucas. That’s probably the easiest.
I used both lucas stop oil leak and transmission fix neither of them worked for me. I saw lot's of reviews that this stuff works but it didn't work for me. The oil is still leaking as it was and the transmission is still slipping
If that's the case then you might need a new transmission 💸💸💸, because this stuff is not a magic oil it will not fix a broken transmission
@@Matt0ize yeh i had a old cruze with more than 250k km on it
How it turn out?
Zero issues, worked great.
I have toyota camry1992 2.2 automatic transmition. Toyota won't drive forward only in reverse drive smooth. The transmition fluid was black .First i change the transmition fluid wont drive forward. Then I change fluid and transmition filter ..On the magnets on the pan there is not metal pieces 0 .Toyota won't drive forward again.Could lukas stop slip fixed the problem .Toyota camry 153.000 don't leak
I mean.. it's 15$ try it ?
Cant get the dam line out the radiator even with the clip being gone,it won't budge.
it must suck having to use Lucas in an 80k vehicle
will a small amount of this in your engine oil hurt anything?
I doubt it but there really isnt a point
@@hanksgarage_ it was an accident. dark parking lot and it was freezing cold. I pulled the dipstic and looked at it as best I could and it looked bad for tyranny fluid so I gave it a sniff and it smelled burnt. I thought geez tyranny toast...just great...gave the bottle 2 squirts and it hit me. lol. it seems to be fine. thank you.
@@cowdough94Aren’t you the guy who did that in the Walmart parking lot? Lol
I put a little amount on differential gear. seems ok
I added Lucas transfix to my 2013 Honda civic, used for 500 miles before I sold. It worked. I don`t know about the guy who bought my vehicle.
Oof kinda messed lmao
did not work for me
Lucus transmission fix
A little Novacaine. Before death
hearing the words "transmission flush with a machine" that makes me cringe super bad.
First of all, nobody needs to flush a transmission. Just change the fluid at good intervals. If you flush the transmission all its doing it pushing debris and clutch material into parts of the transmission and causing restrictions. Which the valve body is definitely a place where you don't want a restriction or else the transmission is never gonna work right afterward.
