This is a GENUINE question and I truly hope KOL or someone can explain this to me. Why do power scalers NOT differentiate between penetrative power vs explosive power? Rob Lucci cannot destroy an island, city, nothing like that with a single attack. This does not mean his attacks are weak, he is an assassin, his attacks have very high penetrative power, it's concentrated. It's not necessarily designed to blow away a large area or create a giant massive crater in the ground. Let me just be clear, yes he has the Tempest kick but let's not pretend like Lucci's skillset is not focused on piercing attacks. Who cares if he can't destroy a city if very few characters have strong enough defense to block your move without it penetrating you?

Instead of reactively lashing out to him being compared to any Zoro feat, actually listen to what he's saying. If Zoro with an uncontrolled Enma last arc could cut the horn of Onigashima, then Lucci, who kept up with a stronger Zoro for an extended amount of time should be able to be comparable to a previous arc's feat. Does that not make sense?

Lucci is stronger than anyone below Admirals in strength besides Zoro. Nobody in that tier is keeping up against G5 like he did. Nobody is having an equal armament clash against G5 like he did. Nobody is taking 3 named attacks from G5 (armament boosted) and then getting up seconds later with only a bandaid as if nothing happened. Disrespecting Lucci is like disrespecting G5. Nobody below Admirals is lasting against G5 the way Lucci did.
The top Yonkou commanders are at that level like King as I do not know how King (without being beaten by Zorro) vs Lucci will go as it is 50/50 for me.
I agree. The thing people fail to understand is that G5 is a broken ass ability that's hard to outright counter unless you have the raw haki strengthof a yonko or can outlast luffys stamina drain. Just because luffy was able to beat Lucci does not mean Lucci is weak. It just means luffy had to go gear 5 to beat lucci. Indicating lucci is in fact strong

I'm fine with Rob Lucci being 1st commander tier/ low tier 1st commander. But he's not stronger than Katakuri and King that some people say. People need to understand that just because someone fights in a future arc doesn't mean the enemy is outright stronger than the previous enemy. All we see in the Lucci v Zoro is them clashing each other. We don't see a single cut on Zoro. Meanwhile, King landed (once) each of his dino attacks. And last I checked, Lucci doesn't have the ability to cut flames (that we know of, can't just assume he does). So, Lucci will have trouble against King's flame attacks. If people believe that Lucci is stronger than King just because of this (6-month lol) fight, then y'all must believe that Ussop will eventually be able to beat Cracker just as easy. Since Cracker's soldiers were easily destroyed by Auger. And Ussop is supposed to fight Auger.
I mean i can see him being above king or katakuri a bit mainly because lucci did a lot better against gear 5 luffy than we all expected, even with luffy trolling. I cant really see katakuri or king performing as well against a yonko character. But on the other hand, you could argue oda just let lucci look as good for the sake of callbacks to luffy vs lucci. But i think putting him above king or kat isnt unreasonable. Thats why i thought personally zoro vs lucci was a good matchup. Both had brief good showings against a yonko. But now zoro fight is concluded and demonstrates lucci prolly is not above yc1 level after all. Depends on how difficult you wage zoros fight against him
@JP-zb3yb I don't remember much on the Kat vs. Luffy, but if I recall, Katakuri always "beat" luffy when it came to clashing attacks. Luffy's hand would always hurt. I, personally, can see Katakuri clashing with G5 luffy and not being outright overwhelmed by luffy fists clashing with his. And King, I know he would be get as clowned on like Lucci, but he definitely would take a lot more punishment to be taken down from Luffy. King has similar, or even greater, speed feat than Lucci since King actually tagged Zoro with his speed attacks, but Lucci didn't. And he is obviously a lot more tanky. I'm sure luffy can dodge King's attacks, but he will have to be more careful against King, who has lava flame attacks and a sword. Now, if Lucci, for whatever reason, fights one of these two and wins, I won't complain. But the with how people portray Lucci in his two fights is outrageous FYI- for anyone who responds to this, there is a difference between a sword fight and a fist fight. Obviously, one will last longer than the other.
@@JP-zb3ybwell, Zoro went in KoH mode, fought Lucci in it, went out and Lucci was still kicking, which wasn't the case with King. Some may say this is twisting the facts, but for me it's enough to put him above King. And Lucci is still conscious at least, which wasn't the case for King, again. Zoro was in worse condition against King than he was against Lucci, and Lucci was in worse condition than King before the fight, due to getting his ass kicked by G5 15 like min before, which is much worse than getting some slaps from Marco who was also busy with Queen.
The fact that the fight was 6 months irl yet only 15-20 in world is also very contentious in the community. It's also heavily implied Zoro couldn't beat Lucci quickly because he'd just get lost while trying to navigate back to the crew. I believe it was stated on 3 different occasions in Egghead alone that Zoro would get lost on his own. Luffy even sent Kaku to help Zoro find S-Hawk earlier on.. Think alot of people are more concerned with agenda than actually observing the contexts of the fights that these characters are in
@vampiranya9939 you forgot that Lucci is awakened now. So, his recovery is like 3x as good as anyone besides luffy. He is not, in my opinion, all that weakened compared to everyone else. Now Lucci was still standing. Yes, it shows how at least he has more endurance than King. But I would say King was dealt a lot more dmg than Lucci since he got cut across armor/mask, 3 cuts across his chest, and one wing cut off. While Lucci got only 3. And are we really going to say the move Zoro did on Lucci is a stronger attack than Dragon damnation? There is a tier list in moves ap.
I like how during Lucci Awakening transformation that his stance looked like Captain Kuro "out of the bag attack". The irony that Captain Kuro was the Captain of the black cat pirates. I think that brief moment was a nod toward Captain Kuro. Possible foreshadowing him being formerly a CP AGENT
It's certainly not the first time I've heard it thrown out there that Kuro may have once been a CP agent. Considering his skills at blending in, the way he fights (particularly Stealth Foot), and the cat theme that he, Lucci and Who's Who share, there are some good reasons to think that.
Dude got bullied by luffy. And then used as a plot device to keep Zoro out of the main fight. Zoro started the fight in a stronger form and then went down to a weaker, reminiscent of mihawk saying the rabbit hunting stuff about how he doesnt go all out against weaker foes. Oda made a point of Zoro being able to finish Lucci whenever he wants since all he needed was sanji to shittalk him to finally show lucci who boss is. Mans a certified jobber.

Discussing how strong Rob Lucci is currently is difficult since the two fights we had with him were 100% plot devices: - Luffy VS Lucci: Oda needed Luffy to use Gear 5 (Even though he had no reason to jump straight into his most powerful form) so that Vegapunk could see and talk about the White Warrior and the devil fruits, whereas in a traditional fight Luffy would normally start with Gear 4 or just pure Haki. - Zoro VS Lucci: Oda needed to keep Zoro busy so that he wouldn't interfere in the whole situation with Kizaru and Saturn, so he made the fight last much longer than it should have if it was just a traditional fight (The main proof of this being Zoro just stopping using 3 swords for no reason in the middle of the fight) So until we have a serious fight between him and someone with significant power it will be difficult to get an exact idea of his power

The thing is identical to Armament Haki and Oda is terrible at making it clear what is being used without some character saying it to our faces. So far we don't even know whether or not Luffy is using it against the Gorosei or if he used it against Lucci for example

@@tsebanjo Oda has already used lightning multiple times on characters who don't have Conqueror's Haki like Ulti. The black lightning is just a representation of strong Haki and not necessarily Conqueror's Haki.
@@Truck-kun11 I would like to believe the small sparks in the Ulti - Luffy clash and the large strands of lightning Zoro gave off are entirely different but sure Oda has used lightning before for strong haki. That still doesn't negate the fact that Zoro was in King of Hell mode during his fight with Lucci. What sense would it make showing that if he's just going to use a regular "strong-haki" armament attack to try and finish Lucci?
For someone like Lucci Destructive Capacity is likely to always be a bit of guess work, his skill set lends him much more to being a close range pin point accurate type of fighter. If he can fist you to death in one shot, he'll do that over throwing out wild area area clearing moves.
For a "fair" estimation, I put Lucci slightly above Doffy due to his blinding speed and having ACoA BUT slightly below Katakuri due to lacking ACoO (Future Sight) and despite having a speed advantage, Kat has an awakening to trap Lucci using his Mochi.
Base Lucci is a more fair fight for katakuri. Hybrid Lucci is relative to gear 4 standard haki (debatably acoa) 2 arcs after WCI. Awakened is above that even. Katakuri lost to a much weaker Luffy than the one that hybrid Lucci is relative to. Luffy went through ALOT of training and fighting after Kats fight. Awakened Lucci > hybrid Lucci > base Lucci ~ katakuri

Well Rob Lucci had a short exchange with Sabo in Film Gold, so i always believed that he atleast is second commander level, but Sabo is the "Flame Emperor" and Film Gold was around "Dress Rosa"...i think he is First Commander level now

KOL to most part I do agree with you on Lucci power scaling as he is that guy. However, you can’t just use duration of Zoro vs Lucci fight to justify he is comparable to Zoro. Because Zoro did not take any damage or had any injuries while Lucci was looking like a walking Zombie. I would put Lucci on 2nd commander level max.
Lucci would probably be the new #4 on the crew. Also with his best attack basically doing internal damage. It's probably just another name/version of ryou.

If you put Zoro and Lucci on the battlefield and threw an attack at them without them defending it, then Zoro would be more hurt than Lucci. It's that simple, Zoans are known for their enhanced durability. Kol is saying complete facts, what u must be referring to is endurance, which u can argue
g5 speed = base luffy speed Hito hito no mi model nika=human devil fruit luffy=human Speed increase=0 The only increase as stated in the manga is rubbery strength and durability, not actual strength So g5 strength=base luffy strength But toon force applies and his durability is increased,seemingly not damagable by elemental attacks
This man said Lucci has better durability than Zoro... the same Zoro that took a combined super attack from 2 Emperors and right afterwards went on to leave a permanent scar on one of them (the one who no one but Oden has ever left a mark on). Not only did Zoro tank that combined hit, he held it in place so the others had time to get out of the way. Rob Lucci would have instantly died blocking it.

how are jinbei sanji and zoro on the same level? zoro without conq. haki was always above sanji and with advanced conq. haki he is way beyond sanji. lucci is probably around 2nd yonko commander level. No way either of those (sanji, jinbei and lucci) are beating marco or king.
And the observation haki thing is a plot inconsistency Luffy has future sight as well so he should have easily forseen Sentomaru's defeat Just like Big Mom not using acoa or acoc against Law and Kidd Using plot inconsistencies to scale can lead to faulty arguments.
Unless we're talking about haki, a human's durability pales in comparison to a zoan, and reptilian zoan's (dinosaurs) have the highest durabilities when non-awakened levels are the respect.
Zoros attack was not infused wit CoC. There was no smoke on the swords, no King of hell. It wasn't even a strong attack like lion song. Just a low tier named attack was enough. I think Kol should leave powerscaling to others.

Heavily disagree with your stand on Mihawk and Shanks but also heavily agree with you on points like this. Almost every argument that has been used to discredit Rob Lucci is a stretch. - "Zoro wasn't trying" - Zoro putting on the bandana means that he is holding nothing back. Zoro without the bandanna does not automatically mean he isn't trying. He never had the bandanna on vs Kuma and he used KOH in chapter 1093 vs Lucci. Zoro was trying he just wasn't going all out. It's like saying Luffy can't be trying in anything other than gear 5. - "Luffy toyed with him in gear 5" - Luffy took out the strongest yonko in gear 5. Gear 5 could be a second away from death and would still laugh so this metric of "look at Luffy laugh" doesn't prove anything. If the new metric for not being a bum is not being clowned on by gear 5 then everyone other than the top 10 in current verse are bums. - "Zoro and Luffy didn't one shot him for plot" - if every egg head fight with Lucci in has you saying it wasn't a one shot for plot then Lucci is simply stronger than you thought. Just because Zoro has asura and Luffy has Bajran Gun does not mean that plot is saving everyone they fight. That's like saying its plot why Luffy didn't instantly use king Kong Gun on Doflamingo 5 seconds into the arc. These characters don't use those moves because it is more efficient for them to try and win without putting all their stamina into their strongest move.
This is why I don't care for powerscaling anymore. People always have to throw shade at other characters to make some look good. Zoro versus Lucci was obviously Oda keeping Zoro out of the fight with the Gorosei. How are two characters going to be fighting for almost hours, and than have one straight up destroyed the body of the other in one attack? People are such limited analytics, yall's bias gets the best of most. There's no way Zoro was going all out against Lucci, just so that Sanji's trash talking could buff him up. Maybe people think that Lucci in awakening got scared that Jinbe would had jumped in, so he flinched when Zoro attacked lol. KOL and the rest are just hating lol

Nobody in that tier is keeping up against G5 like he did. Nobody is having an equal armament clash against G5 like he did. Nobody is taking 3 named attacks from G5 (armament boosted) and then getting up seconds later with only a bandaid as if nothing happened.

Loved the video KOL. I believe your powerscaling is often pretty accurate. Would've loved to see you very briefly mention your thoughts on his matchups with other characters who are relatively close to him in the conclusion phase.
I'm fine with Rob Lucci being 1st commander tier/ low tier 1st commander. But he's not stronger than Katakuri and King that some people say. People need to understand that just because someone fights in a future arc doesn't mean the enemy is outright stronger than the previous enemy.
All we see in the Lucci v Zoro is them clashing each other. We don't see a single cut on Zoro. Meanwhile, King landed (once) each of his dino attacks. And last I checked, Lucci doesn't have the ability to cut flames (that we know of, can't just assume he does). So, Lucci will have trouble against King's flame attacks.
If people believe that Lucci is stronger than King just because of this (6-month lol) fight, then y'all must believe that Ussop will eventually be able to beat Cracker just as easy. Since Cracker's soldiers were easily destroyed by Auger. And Ussop is supposed to fight Auger.
I mean i can see him being above king or katakuri a bit mainly because lucci did a lot better against gear 5 luffy than we all expected, even with luffy trolling. I cant really see katakuri or king performing as well against a yonko character. But on the other hand, you could argue oda just let lucci look as good for the sake of callbacks to luffy vs lucci. But i think putting him above king or kat isnt unreasonable. Thats why i thought personally zoro vs lucci was a good matchup. Both had brief good showings against a yonko. But now zoro fight is concluded and demonstrates lucci prolly is not above yc1 level after all. Depends on how difficult you wage zoros fight against him
@JP-zb3yb I don't remember much on the Kat vs. Luffy, but if I recall, Katakuri always "beat" luffy when it came to clashing attacks. Luffy's hand would always hurt. I, personally, can see Katakuri clashing with G5 luffy and not being outright overwhelmed by luffy fists clashing with his.
And King, I know he would be get as clowned on like Lucci, but he definitely would take a lot more punishment to be taken down from Luffy. King has similar, or even greater, speed feat than Lucci since King actually tagged Zoro with his speed attacks, but Lucci didn't. And he is obviously a lot more tanky. I'm sure luffy can dodge King's attacks, but he will have to be more careful against King, who has lava flame attacks and a sword.
Now, if Lucci, for whatever reason, fights one of these two and wins, I won't complain. But the with how people portray Lucci in his two fights is outrageous
FYI- for anyone who responds to this, there is a difference between a sword fight and a fist fight. Obviously, one will last longer than the other.

Some may say this is twisting the facts, but for me it's enough to put him above King. And Lucci is still conscious at least, which wasn't the case for King, again. Zoro was in worse condition against King than he was against Lucci, and Lucci was in worse condition than King before the fight, due to getting his ass kicked by G5 15 like min before, which is much worse than getting some slaps from Marco who was also busy with Queen.
The fact that the fight was 6 months irl yet only 15-20 in world is also very contentious in the community. It's also heavily implied Zoro couldn't beat Lucci quickly because he'd just get lost while trying to navigate back to the crew. I believe it was stated on 3 different occasions in Egghead alone that Zoro would get lost on his own. Luffy even sent Kaku to help Zoro find S-Hawk earlier on..
Think alot of people are more concerned with agenda than actually observing the contexts of the fights that these characters are in
@vampiranya9939 you forgot that Lucci is awakened now. So, his recovery is like 3x as good as anyone besides luffy. He is not, in my opinion, all that weakened compared to everyone else.
Now Lucci was still standing. Yes, it shows how at least he has more endurance than King. But I would say King was dealt a lot more dmg than Lucci since he got cut across armor/mask, 3 cuts across his chest, and one wing cut off. While Lucci got only 3.
And are we really going to say the move Zoro did on Lucci is a stronger attack than Dragon damnation? There is a tier list in moves ap.
I like how during Lucci Awakening transformation that his stance looked like Captain Kuro "out of the bag attack". The irony that Captain Kuro was the Captain of the black cat pirates. I think that brief moment was a nod toward Captain Kuro. Possible foreshadowing him being formerly a CP AGENT
It's certainly not the first time I've heard it thrown out there that Kuro may have once been a CP agent. Considering his skills at blending in, the way he fights (particularly Stealth Foot), and the cat theme that he, Lucci and Who's Who share, there are some good reasons to think that.

Dude got bullied by luffy. And then used as a plot device to keep Zoro out of the main fight. Zoro started the fight in a stronger form and then went down to a weaker, reminiscent of mihawk saying the rabbit hunting stuff about how he doesnt go all out against weaker foes. Oda made a point of Zoro being able to finish Lucci whenever he wants since all he needed was sanji to shittalk him to finally show lucci who boss is.

Discussing how strong Rob Lucci is currently is difficult since the two fights we had with him were 100% plot devices:
- Luffy VS Lucci: Oda needed Luffy to use Gear 5 (Even though he had no reason to jump straight into his most powerful form) so that Vegapunk could see and talk about the White Warrior and the devil fruits, whereas in a traditional fight Luffy would normally start with Gear 4 or just pure Haki.
- Zoro VS Lucci: Oda needed to keep Zoro busy so that he wouldn't interfere in the whole situation with Kizaru and Saturn, so he made the fight last much longer than it should have if it was just a traditional fight (The main proof of this being Zoro just stopping using 3 swords for no reason in the middle of the fight)
So until we have a serious fight between him and someone with significant power it will be difficult to get an exact idea of his power
But how do you explain Lucci not going down to an Acoc attack from Zoro?

For someone like Lucci Destructive Capacity is likely to always be a bit of guess work, his skill set lends him much more to being a close range pin point accurate type of fighter. If he can fist you to death in one shot, he'll do that over throwing out wild area area clearing moves.

For a "fair" estimation, I put Lucci slightly above Doffy due to his blinding speed and having ACoA BUT slightly below Katakuri due to lacking ACoO (Future Sight) and despite having a speed advantage, Kat has an awakening to trap Lucci using his Mochi.
Base Lucci is a more fair fight for katakuri. Hybrid Lucci is relative to gear 4 standard haki (debatably acoa) 2 arcs after WCI. Awakened is above that even.
Katakuri lost to a much weaker Luffy than the one that hybrid Lucci is relative to. Luffy went through ALOT of training and fighting after Kats fight.
Awakened Lucci > hybrid Lucci > base Lucci ~ katakuri

Durability means how easy it is to hurt you. Zoro has a normal ass human body while Lucci has an awakened Zoan body. If you put Zoro and Lucci on the battlefield and threw an attack at them without them defending it, then Zoro would be more hurt than Lucci. The only increase as stated in the manga is rubbery strength and durability, not actual strength
So g5 strength=base luffy strength
But toon force applies and his durability is increased,seemingly not damagable by elemental attacks
This man said Lucci has better durability than Zoro... the same Zoro that took a combined super attack from 2 Emperors and right afterwards went on to leave a permanent scar on one of them (the one who no one but Oden has ever left a mark on). Not only did Zoro tank that combined hit, he held it in place so the others had time to get out of the way. Rob Lucci would have instantly died blocking it.

how are jinbei sanji and zoro on the same level? zoro without conq. haki was always above sanji and with advanced conq. haki he is way beyond sanji. lucci is probably around 2nd yonko commander level. No way either of those (sanji, jinbei and lucci) are beating marco or king.
Even that uppercut by Lucci barely even touches Luffy, confusing Lucci in that moment. So it is debateable if Luffy took ANY damage whatsoever.

Unless we're talking about haki, a human's durability pales in comparison to a zoan, and reptilian zoan's (dinosaurs) have the highest durabilities when non-awakened levels are the respect.
Zoros attack was not infused wit CoC. There was no smoke on the swords, no King of hell. It wasn't even a strong attack like lion song. Just a low tier named attack was enough.

What if Rob Lucci is apart of sword too, and is playing a double agent like Stussy. like being an egghead island version of x-drake. i thought of it when you talked about the combo attacks when they had to fight S bear. Combo attacks with an enemy means they will be allies eventually in my anime/manga head cannon for all the anime/mangas i watch haha

Almost every argument that has been used to discredit Rob Lucci is a stretch.
- "Zoro wasn't trying" - Zoro putting on the bandana means that he is holding nothing back. Zoro without the bandanna does not automatically mean he isn't trying. He never had the bandanna on vs Kuma and he used KOH in chapter 1093 vs Lucci. Zoro was trying he just wasn't going all out. It's like saying Luffy can't be trying in anything other than gear 5.
- "Luffy toyed with him in gear 5" - Luffy took out the strongest yonko in gear 5. Gear 5 could be a second away from death and would still laugh so this metric of "look at Luffy laugh" doesn't prove anything. If the new metric for not being a bum is not being clowned on by gear 5 then everyone other than the top 10 in current verse are bums.
- "Zoro and Luffy didn't one shot him for plot" - if every egg head fight with Lucci in has you saying it wasn't a one shot for plot then Lucci is simply stronger than you thought. Just because Zoro has asura and Luffy has Bajran Gun does not mean that plot is saving everyone they fight. That's like saying its plot why Luffy didn't instantly use king Kong Gun on Doflamingo 5 seconds into the arc. These characters don't use those moves because it is more efficient for them to try and win without putting all their stamina into their strongest move.
This is why I don't care for powerscaling anymore. People always have to throw shade at other characters to make some look good. Zoro versus Lucci was obviously Oda keeping Zoro out of the fight with the Gorosei. How are two characters going to be fighting for almost hours, and than have one straight up destroyed the body of the other in one attack? People are such limited analytics, yall's bias gets the best of most. There's no way Zoro was going all out against Lucci, just so that Sanji's trash talking could buff him up. Maybe people think that Lucci in awakening got scared that Jinbe would had jumped in, so he flinched when Zoro attacked lol. KOL and the rest are just hating lol
