And also we don't know if someone completely petrifyed can even use Haki in order to revert the effect. Maybe partial petrification is reversable with Haki. Mind you the condition for the power is being attacted for Boa and that, in my opinion also has a bearing on the someone'ss will to resist the petrification.
That's moreso Ryokugyu "releasing" his form as a result of getting hit by Shank's CH, which is a different from straight up Haki-Negation like Kaido & Big Mom & Law have done. Like for example if Luffy could've knocked Doffy out with his CH then Birdcage would've dissipated because Doffy was KO'd, you wouldn't say "Luffy's Haki negated birdcage" in that situation.

how i see it is that the awakened DF powers specifically the hax powers cannot be negated because kaido got turned to rubber/big mom to magnet. if yonkos cant block awakened attacks then its safe to say no one can. i think this is also why kaidos club didnt pierce luffy cause his rubber body got so strong not even haki could affect it.
thats not the case i think at least for zoan types. maybe effects are negated but not the state of the body. or else you would hit a zoan type with haki and turn back to human.

Pick up amusingly from what he saw in wano that Haki in-general could be use to reverse abilities or effects if you would from devil fruits even from someone like Doc Q. Who although might be a new devil fruit user should have some innate skill with this fruit given his background. So in conclusion, Yes Haki can effect/reverse abilities if not full out negate devil fruit powers seen in many examples. About Doflamingo you forgot to mention, but Luffy casually broke free of the strings in Gear 4th during Dressrosa so there is quite literally no doubt they can be bypassed by strong haki.
Can negate the properties on all devil fruits. But would still be susceptible to damage. For example, if his haki is strong enough then he could possibly negate G5 stretching his body from a punch to the stomach. BUT he would still receive a level of damage from that said punch where the damage would be determined by his defensive capabilities.
It feels like Law vs Smoothie happened offscreen today and Smoothie was switched with Pudding. Ivankov vs Amande is scheduled to happen onscreen or offscreen in the next chapter. Zoro vs Mihawk is scheduled to happen on June 11. Zoro vs Amande is scheduled to happen on Chapter 1121. This is all a feeling though, it is not guaranteed.

I think with Hawkins it wouldn’t matter if he made a strawdoll or not since the damage inflicted wouldn’t scale the same for a Yonkou. Big Mom and Kaido are tanks. If he pulled the same head slamming strat, they would probably feel almost nothing due to their own toughness. So thats why he probably never tried and why his odds would still be low. It wouldn’t be a haki thing, its just a “they are too tough for it to even matter” thing

Yes and no? There were characters who realistically should have pretty strong Haki who got affected by her power (and it was implied Luffy and Law both would have gotten taken down by it, and you would assume even their Dressrosa selves had Haki stronger than most people outside of the highest echelons). And even if its just a case of knowing HOW to undo it, Sugar's DF has a secondary abiliry where she can literlaly tel lyou not to even TRY to do that once she turns you into a toy, and you have to obey. I think even if you can break free from her, if she ordered you not to before you had the chance, you wouldnt be able to.

Doffy's Parasite move can also be countered by sheer raw force. Mingo failed to puppeteer a G4 Luffy because Luffy was just too strong for the strings to control.
The hollow fruit is interesting because it's like it can attack your Will directly. If the color of haki is important, I think it'll play a part in this. We know Usopp has haki, so maybe his specific color of hak is able to defend against devil fruits that attack your Will. This is why the monster trio couldn't stand against it. I think the "color" of haki is similar to to Nen where there's categories within haki that shows what sort of abilities you gain when you master haki.
I’d wonder about crocodile and his ability to dry the water up of ppl if it’d work yonkos. Then there’s buggy and the mihawk marineford and cross guild situation where he’s usually his split self. Lastly Caesar clown and his ability to take oxygen from an area if that’d work on yonkos. Great vid.

I think Perona's fruit is exceptional here. Her ability is almost immediately impactful to anyone with a goal or positive mindset. It technically robs the willpower of the individual by utilizing negative emotion the person intrinsically has, almost like putting all internalized self-doubt to the forefront. All to say, how can someone who has Haki, exert said Haki when they are robbed of their willpower? Haki being directly tied to it would likely be affected to the point where they can't exude a push back response ala Law/DocQ. Perhaps if they are expecting and understand her attack they can block with Haki at the hit point or just coat themsleves in some sort of barrier or something but if they were caught off guard? I think Perona can low dif most of the verse and considering Kaido is a massive drunk and Big mom goes crazy with her hunger pangs, idk if its farfetched to say it could likely work on them if they weren't expecting it.
Well, the thing about Magellan is that he creates poisons. So his damage is actually a physical thing rather than a Devil Fruit power itself. It is also diferent from the Sick Sick fruit because I don't think the Sick Sick fruit creates actual viruses and bacteria to infect people - it creates a "disease" determined by the user that it doesn't even need physical means of transmission since if affected Law's crew inside their sub. On that acount the Sick Sick fruit would be negated by Haki while Magellan's poisons wouldn't.
I think if Haki Aura can’t negotiate a special ability then Observation Haki’s Future Sight ability will help you dodge an attack like Law’s Shock Willie attacks or Kid’s Add On Magnesium or even Magellan’s Demon Vemon Poison. The combination of Haki is what makes it an End All Be All ability. Separately though? It won’t be. It’s really best to master all aspects of Haki from Basic to Advanced to combat most things. Because if you can’t negotiate an unblockable attack, you can pull a Katakuri/Shanks move and dodge. And if Shanks was actually able to stun Greenbull with Conqueror’s Haki shock strings then that way of using Conqueror’s Haki buffs any defense Haki idea. Haki used the right way is definitely something to fear as much as Legendary Devil Fruit’s. So therefore, I rest my case for Haki. Arguably the best thing to do to become the Strongest Fighter or one of the strongest in One Piece is Mastering both Haki and at least a Decently Powerful Devil Fruit. That’s literally going to be Luffy EOS, just so happens that he has an Endgame Devil Fruit so Haki is going to work very well with his Devil abilities
for perona Id give it a 50/50 chance since it people afflicted by it losses their will power, unless you already have a negative outlook on life like a certain long nose. it would probably be affective if it hits you but if you wear your haki like armor it wouldnt get a chance to effect you, so if your like kaido and big mom it wouldnt work, but if youre someone that doesnt have it passively or actively protecting you like those two but would flex it when needed then it would already be too late to use it by then. thats my outlook on it

Any ability that seeks to enforce an effect on a target should be able to be resisted or fully negated by strong enough haki, I believe this is what Oda is trying to portray.
the way I see it is everytime someone with strong haki was affected by a devil fruit it was an AWAKENING. so imo unawakened fruits can be disabled by haki meanwhile awakenings cannot.
I believe there are Haki Blast, Haki-imbued Finger Pistol, Haki Shield, Visual Haki (where you direct your conqueror haki specifically to specific enemy with your eye, like water cannon jet), all is about long-distance kind of Haki. And Haki Blitz, where certain people like Shanks, can move as fast as Kizaru in the battle, just like zenitsu in Demon Slayer, And Shanks' ultimate Haki Awakening is he can cancel any Devil Fruit users who activate their ability back to normal form. they cant transform using DF power in the presence of Shanks. So you cant use any DF ability when fighting Shanks, thats why many people afraid of him.. even if you dont have DF, your Haki is not as powerful as Shanks
Foxy's not affected, interestingly enough by this "weakness" as his opponent's ability to actually produce haki would be slowed as well. By the time they did, the ability would be over anyway.
i think it's more dependent on haki...for example, sugar with her low level haki can't turn kaido into toys but if it was luffy with hobby-hobby fruit, then luffy with his high level haki could've turned kaido into a toy
if some one is weaken during battle , or is fall out drunk full sleep mode, you can damage them or if caught off guard even if you have strong haki user. Depends on how fast the reaction.
I think in terms of matchup. Perona’s ability could affect Kaido more than Big Mom. Kaido is clearly mentally unstable. Big Mom is too, but in a more confident way. Kaido was actually suicidal.
Sanji defeats Kujaku without fighting her, he will shock her too much and carry her. Bytheway Robin doesn't get hurt at all after Chapter 1111, aslongas she doesn't try to get in the way of Luffy knowingly. Even Imu won't be able to hurt her. If panels contradicts that, those panels are not relevant and are just page filler.
I think we are overthinking the haki vs DF debate. My personal theory is that Haki and DFs come from the same source. DF are abilities manifested out of dreams/desires/will and haki is the natural talent realized through desire/dreams/will. Haki itself doesn't negate DF powers, it just becomes a battle of wills and the person using their conquerors haki is overpowering the DF user with their strong will which intimidates them, whereas in the situation with Big Mom being affected by Kid and Law's fruit abilities, she was tired by that point and her will had faltered greatly so it makes sense why she would be affected. Same with Kaido against Gear 5. A fresh Kaido would defeat Gear 5 in my opinion. But yeah, I think Haki vs DF is just a contest of wills, armament lets you touch a logia or special paramecia because your strong will makes it so and your conquerors interfering with a DF power or outright negating it is you will overpowering their's.The person with the stronger will with always win the battle, DF or Not.
Regarding Laws awakening, i dont think he gets a pass like Kid and some of the others. R-room was not applied directly TO Big Mom, it was applied around her and locked to her location (which is still busted). Kaido and BMs haki dont stop law opening up a room, they just stop him directly messing with them or their body parts/personalities Thats why im guess when Law face BB he could open up an R-room aroung him no problem, but he still could do anything directly to BB so he cut stronger instead. Its a slight difference, but a key one i think
I think Shu rusting Zoro's body is Anime-Only, and was not in Manga. and regarding Magelan, i think there is a stronger case for Haki to negate his red demon ability, but not his regular poison. his regular poison is just... poison, although a very strong one, but not something that can be negated with Haki, it's like negating already formed ice that Aokiji made- at that point it's just physically blocking ice. however, the Red Demon is less of an actual venom, and more of a contagious DF ability with burning/venoming effect, so it's more likely to negate that with Haki.
The Rust-Rust fruit user who rusted Zoro only did so in the anime. He can't rust people in the manga. It would be another thing if he tried to rust a sword with armament haki on it tho, that would probably be harder depending on the wielder, and I'm unsure how it would work on one of the black blades
I would argue that haki would not work against Hancock's fruit, since once you become stone, you become completely unconscious and amnesiac to what happened while you were a statue. This was shown during Impel Down. Thus, you wouldn't be mentally capable of applying haki to reverse the effects.
How about devil fruits that's hard to counter even with haki, like the naturally destructive akainu's magma fruit or the gimmicky devilfruit like apoo?

Furthermore, gonna bet that if a Logia user has a big Haki advantage, it will negate the haki of the oponent to some degree, allowing intangibility to continue working. (We see haki users strike Akainu, yet he seemed mininally damaged and his intangibility more or less appeared to be working) Essentially, instead of cutting through a powerful logia user, the logia users body becomes intangible and is mearly scratched where the haki strike contacted their elemental form instead of being bisected outright.
Logia’s forfeit armament haki to be intangible in my book because they are using haki which is your life force. When logia’s use elements to empower themselves like if a volcano goes off naturally akainu could still use the full force of it but he wouldn’t be controlling all aspects of it
Hmm i feel like the reasonings are inconsistent a bit. You're evaluating the people who hold these fruits rather than the fruits themselves. Like Boa hancoock's powers and Aokiji's powers, they both are similar in that they can freeze/petrify you, but lets say Aokiji freezes Whitebeard, we saw him break free of it, now what if Boa petrify Whitebeard, will he break free of it? For me i don't think he can because how the fruit itself works, petrifying is different than freezing even tho they function the same in making someone immobilize. Lets say someone doesn't have strong Haki to break free of Boa's petrify, what if someone like shanks sees a petrified weak Haki user can shanks use his Haki to break that person out? Shanks' Haki can affect people other than himself. Like how Genjutsu works in Naruto world

You are completely wrong about Foxy. His power is fully explained. He emits a particle. It's not a devil fruit particle. It's just a naturally occurring particle that slows you down. Noroma particles should be no more affected by haki than the photons that Kizaru emits.

Haki is the same as spiritual pressure from bleach. It transcends abilities and nullifies or smashes opponents special abilities. There might be special conditions where a logia might override haki, like barrier fruit. Never seen a barrier scratched. But shanks made green bull turn back to human using haki.

Can negate the properties on all devil fruits. But would still be susceptible to damage. For example, if his haki is strong enough then he could possibly negate G5 stretching his body from a punch to the stomach. BUT he would still receive a level of damage from that said punch where the damage would be determined by his defensive capabilities.

Zoro vs Mihawk is scheduled to happen on June 11. Zoro vs Amande is scheduled to happen on Chapter 1121. This is all a feeling though, it is not guaranteed.

I think with Hawkins it wouldn’t matter if he made a strawdoll or not since the damage inflicted wouldn’t scale the same for a Yonkou. Big Mom and Kaido are tanks. If he pulled the same head slamming strat, they would probably feel almost nothing due to their own toughness.
So thats why he probably never tried and why his odds would still be low. It wouldn’t be a haki thing, its just a “they are too tough for it to even matter” thing

Yes and no? There were characters who realistically should have pretty strong Haki who got affected by her power (and it was implied Luffy and Law both would have gotten taken down by it, and you would assume even their Dressrosa selves had Haki stronger than most people outside of the highest echelons). And even if its just a case of knowing HOW to undo it, Sugar's DF has a secondary abiliry where she can literlaly tel lyou not to even TRY to do that once she turns you into a toy, and you have to obey. I think even if you can break free from her, if she ordered you not to before you had the chance, you wouldnt be able to.

Doffy's Parasite move can also be countered by sheer raw force. Mingo failed to puppeteer a G4 Luffy because Luffy was just too strong for the strings to control.

The hollow fruit is interesting because it's like it can attack your Will directly. If the color of haki is important, I think it'll play a part in this. We know Usopp has haki, so maybe his specific color of hak is able to defend against devil fruits that attack your Will. This is why the monster trio couldn't stand against it. I think the "color" of haki is similar to to Nen where there's categories within haki that shows what sort of abilities you gain when you master haki.

I think Perona's fruit is exceptional here. Her ability is almost immediately impactful to anyone with a goal or positive mindset. It technically robs the willpower of the individual by utilizing negative emotion the person intrinsically has, almost like putting all internalized self-doubt to the forefront. All to say, how can someone who has Haki, exert said Haki when they are robbed of their willpower? Haki being directly tied to it would likely be affected to the point where they can't exude a push back response ala Law/DocQ. Perhaps if they are expecting and understand her attack they can block with Haki at the hit point or just coat themsleves in some sort of barrier or something but if they were caught off guard? I think Perona can low dif most of the verse and considering Kaido is a massive drunk and Big mom goes crazy with her hunger pangs, idk if its farfetched to say it could likely work on them if they weren't expecting it.
Kujaku wouldnt even need the whip whip fruit for sanji, hes going to be affected the same way with or without the fruit
Well, the thing about Magellan is that he creates poisons. So his damage is actually a physical thing rather than a Devil Fruit power itself.
It is also diferent from the Sick Sick fruit because I don't think the Sick Sick fruit creates actual viruses and bacteria to infect people - it creates a "disease" determined by the user that it doesn't even need physical means of transmission since if affected Law's crew inside their sub.
On that acount the Sick Sick fruit would be negated by Haki while Magellan's poisons wouldn't.
I think if Haki Aura can’t negotiate a special ability then Observation Haki’s Future Sight ability will help you dodge an attack like Law’s Shock Willie attacks or Kid’s Add On Magnesium or even Magellan’s Demon Vemon Poison. The combination of Haki is what makes it an End All Be All ability. Separately though? It won’t be. It’s really best to master all aspects of Haki from Basic to Advanced to combat most things. Because if you can’t negotiate an unblockable attack, you can pull a Katakuri/Shanks move and dodge. And if Shanks was actually able to stun Greenbull with Conqueror’s Haki shock strings then that way of using Conqueror’s Haki buffs any defense Haki idea. Haki used the right way is definitely something to fear as much as Legendary Devil Fruit’s.
So therefore, I rest my case for Haki. Arguably the best thing to do to become the Strongest Fighter or one of the strongest in One Piece is Mastering both Haki and at least a Decently Powerful Devil Fruit. That’s literally going to be Luffy EOS, just so happens that he has an Endgame Devil Fruit so Haki is going to work very well with his Devil abilities

for perona Id give it a 50/50 chance since it people afflicted by it losses their will power, unless you already have a negative outlook on life like a certain long nose. it would probably be affective if it hits you but if you wear your haki like armor it wouldnt get a chance to effect you, so if your like kaido and big mom it wouldnt work, but if youre someone that doesnt have it passively or actively protecting you like those two but would flex it when needed then it would already be too late to use it by then. thats my outlook on it

Any ability that seeks to enforce an effect on a target should be able to be resisted or fully negated by strong enough haki, I believe this is what Oda is trying to portray.
the way I see it is everytime someone with strong haki was affected by a devil fruit it was an AWAKENING. so imo unawakened fruits can be disabled by haki meanwhile awakenings cannot.
I believe there are Haki Blast, Haki-imbued Finger Pistol, Haki Shield, Visual Haki (where you direct your conqueror haki specifically to specific enemy with your eye, like water cannon jet), all is about long-distance kind of Haki. And Haki Blitz, where certain people like Shanks, can move as fast as Kizaru in the battle, just like zenitsu in Demon Slayer,
And Shanks' ultimate Haki Awakening is he can cancel any Devil Fruit users who activate their ability back to normal form. they cant transform using DF power in the presence of Shanks. So you cant use any DF ability when fighting Shanks, thats why many people afraid of him.. even if you dont have DF, your Haki is not as powerful as Shanks

I think in terms of matchup. Perona’s ability could affect Kaido more than Big Mom. Kaido is clearly mentally unstable. Big Mom is too, but in a more confident way. Kaido was actually suicidal.
Sanji defeats Kujaku without fighting her, he will shock her too much and carry her. Bytheway Robin doesn't get hurt at all after Chapter 1111, aslongas she doesn't try to get in the way of Luffy knowingly. Even Imu won't be able to hurt her. If panels contradicts that, those panels are not relevant and are just page filler.

I think we are overthinking the haki vs DF debate. My personal theory is that Haki and DFs come from the same source. DF are abilities manifested out of dreams/desires/will and haki is the natural talent realized through desire/dreams/will. Haki itself doesn't negate DF powers, it just becomes a battle of wills and the person using their conquerors haki is overpowering the DF user with their strong will which intimidates them, whereas in the situation with Big Mom being affected by Kid and Law's fruit abilities, she was tired by that point and her will had faltered greatly so it makes sense why she would be affected. Same with Kaido against Gear 5. A fresh Kaido would defeat Gear 5 in my opinion. But yeah, I think Haki vs DF is just a contest of wills, armament lets you touch a logia or special paramecia because your strong will makes it so and your conquerors interfering with a DF power or outright negating it is you will overpowering their's.The person with the stronger will with always win the battle, DF or Not.

Regarding Laws awakening, i dont think he gets a pass like Kid and some of the others. R-room was not applied directly TO Big Mom, it was applied around her and locked to her location (which is still busted). Kaido and BMs haki dont stop law opening up a room, they just stop him directly messing with them or their body parts/personalities
Thats why im guess when Law face BB he could open up an R-room aroung him no problem, but he still could do anything directly to BB so he cut stronger instead. Its a slight difference, but a key one i think

and regarding Magelan, i think there is a stronger case for Haki to negate his red demon ability, but not his regular poison. his regular poison is just... poison, although a very strong one, but not something that can be negated with Haki, it's like negating already formed ice that Aokiji made- at that point it's just physically blocking ice. however, the Red Demon is less of an actual venom, and more of a contagious DF ability with burning/venoming effect, so it's more likely to negate that with Haki.
The Rust-Rust fruit user who rusted Zoro only did so in the anime. He can't rust people in the manga. It would be another thing if he tried to rust a sword with armament haki on it tho, that would probably be harder depending on the wielder, and I'm unsure how it would work on one of the black blades

I would argue that haki would not work against Hancock's fruit, since once you become stone, you become completely unconscious and amnesiac to what happened while you were a statue. This was shown during Impel Down.
Thus, you wouldn't be mentally capable of applying haki to reverse the effects.

Furthermore, gonna bet that if a Logia user has a big Haki advantage, it will negate the haki of the oponent to some degree, allowing intangibility to continue working. (We see haki users strike Akainu, yet he seemed mininally damaged and his intangibility more or less appeared to be working) Essentially, instead of cutting through a powerful logia user, the logia users body becomes intangible and is mearly scratched where the haki strike contacted their elemental form instead of being bisected outright.

Like Boa hancoock's powers and Aokiji's powers, they both are similar in that they can freeze/petrify you, but lets say Aokiji freezes Whitebeard, we saw him break free of it, now what if Boa petrify Whitebeard, will he break free of it? For me i don't think he can because how the fruit itself works, petrifying is different than freezing even tho they function the same in making someone immobilize. Lets say someone doesn't have strong Haki to break free of Boa's petrify, what if someone like shanks sees a petrified weak Haki user can shanks use his Haki to break that person out? Shanks' Haki can affect people other than himself. Like how Genjutsu works in Naruto world

You are completely wrong about Foxy. His power is fully explained. He emits a particle. It's not a devil fruit particle. It's just a naturally occurring particle that slows you down. Noroma particles should be no more affected by haki than the photons that Kizaru emits.

Haki is the same as spiritual pressure from bleach. It transcends abilities and nullifies or smashes opponents special abilities. There might be special conditions where a logia might override haki, like barrier fruit. Never seen a barrier scratched. But shanks made green bull turn back to human using haki.
What about barrier fruit. Oden couldn't break the barrier with his Ryo haki.
