if only kaido had Doflamingo mental can you imagine what's gonna happen to the scabbards,supernovas,yamato, but kaido doesn't care about killing his opponents the only time he cared when he defeated luffy and wanted to cut his head off so people stop believing that luffy gonna win, but i really wished he had Doflamingo mental that fits him more as the strongest creature that wanted the biggest war ever, so him not dropping bodies is his character writing, but when it comes to akainu i really think at final war he's dropping like at least 10 bodies that's how his character is written and i like that and for me akainu is so underrated he's easily yonko level and even if roger fought him it's extreme diff.

They may disagree on fundamental one piece facts, however there’s no hatred between the two of them. In my opinion they have great chemistry, and remind me of the friendly debates that my friends and I would have over anime.

Kaido does blunt force damage so his attacks are easier to survive while Akainu's casual attacks would melt Kinemon like Kaido's fire drum dragon melted the left horn of Onigashima if Oda wrote that scene with Akainu instead of Kaido, Kinemon either dies, loses a limb or gets some giant scar.

@@avalac7412 It's stated he was "The Strongest Man in the World" which can be interpreted as a title & not a statement (albeit a title he totally earned without question for likely the majority of his life). "Strongest Pirate" also wouldn't even necessarily denote his individual strength as being a "strong pirate" has other factors to it like crew strength.
Also in the story is what I brought up with him being sick before he got there, and several moments where either WB himself or another character remark on his waning abilities due to his old age. If his own men can clearly see he's not what he used to be in the middle of a war, why would we then assume he's stronger than Kaido who's currently in his prime?

Why do people think observation haki is inconsistent? If you're focusing really hard on something in front of you in the heat of battle then someone sneaking up on you is going to be pretty easy.
Edit: if you're going to reply in this thread then please give an example of observation haki failing in a one-v-one. If you're sitting at a stop sign and someone rear ends you, that's not a failure of observation if you were focusing on oncoming traffic
Katakuri basically said this as well. CoO is not always active and the strongest characters have shown that if they get distracted or frustrated, using CoO becomes more difficult or there are gaps in what they can sense. Especially future sight

I remember waaaay back seeing Aokiji for the first time. It was the one of the most mind blowing moments in One Piece. It was a huge leap forward in the scale of what a single person was capable of. He froze the ocean farther than the eye could see for miles to the next island. Thats a feat. Gotta respect the Admirals.

I don't think that there's any debate that Whitebeard would have inevitably died for Akainu's attacks even if Blackbeard hadn't showed up. Honestly just given his anatomy being a regular human the chest blow alone would kill Shanks.
The guy was holding back the whole time to not destroy the island. If akainu really left wb to die off while hiding then it only speaks of his incompetence. Who is to say whitebeard wont do a final attack to blow up all marine ford. Sp either he got two shotted or he is fxking oncompetent.

I find it weird that Brago keeps saying Whitebeard is only human, but then disregards / downplays Whitebeards heart attack. When someone gets a heart attack they are no where even remotely close to their best immediately afterwards. People are struggling to breath, feeling exhausted and dizzy, massive pain and soreness throughout the body and in some cases just passing out. So Brago has to choose. Either Whitebeard is 'only human' and was fighting on par with Akainu at less than half strength, or Whitebeard is beyond human, in which case Koe's criticisms about Whitebeards durability and strength compared to other Yonko are 100% valid.

If he took time he wouldnt have caught Luffy and Jinbe, he went right away
If Kaido's priority was to chase Luffy he would go and chase him flying, just like Akainu did underground. They just have different powers.
@@novsmith4547 akainu was down for a chapter and we know he had to be moving during that time to catch up to luffy. also the events that happened while he was gone could not have been more than 5-10 mins. he also fell down far below ground and he cant fly he can only propel himself upwards a bit from a quick magma burst but cant sustain it enough to fully defy gravity

Luffy is stronger in attack potency but not area of effect. The quake fruit offers great AoE.. I will say I think Whitebeard was stronger physically that is until we compare him to gear 5.. Let's remember BB took a bloodlusted(yes he was on his deathbed) attack from that Whitebeard and got back up and kept fighting. Add to that the Yami Yami makes him take 2x damage. I wouldn't say Whitebeard who did that was way weaker then when he just thrashed akainu..
Akainu attacking Kinemon doesn't mean automatic death. Kinemon survived kaido hit and curiel is still alive after akainu...

I'm not gonna argue strength ect. The big picture is if akainu didn't strategically pull himself from the fight after landing life ending blows to whitebeard it was pretty clear whitebeard would have killed him, then dies himself. This was oda's way of showing admirals and yonko can compete with one another. Again this is not a power scaling Comment because one piece is notoriously inconsistent with power scaling (which frankly I love). Just pointing out the point of the scene and what was clear to the reader.

If the battle ended in the victory of the WB pirates and and they escaped with all their members after taking the magma hits, WB would still die from those injuries. It's like how Oden managed to keep himself alive to complete his purpose to save his retainers by his insane willpower. Even if Kaido didn't shoot him in the head, he was a dead man since he had sustained too much damage to his vitals. WB had a third of his brain blown off and had his torso pumped full of magma. Just like Fisher Tiger he would die some time after the end of the battle.

How does the injuries not matter?
Oda has continually put the Yonko as the one’s to take damage before the real fights. Never had an Admiral been in that position , let’s wait what happens when Greenbull is placed in that position before he fights someone at his tier.
Akainu / Kuzan / Kizaru / Fujitora have never been in a position like Whitebeard or Kaido were. They are true freaking monsters who took so much damage before they fought someone relevant to their tier.
Flip it around and have Akainu take a blade through his torso , take damage from hundreds, and go on to fight Whitebeard.
You forgot about giving his some terminal disease, which is so bad, that he constantly has to stay hooked with a life support system.
also make akainu old , out of prime , hoooked on medical machines AND have weaker haki than usual which even marco someone who has been with wb for DECADES noticed.

Kol is so biased it's ridiculous. The fact that he doesn't think that Akainu's attacks were the main contribution to Whitebeard's death, when Akainu took nearly half of Whitebeard's brain. Does KOL believe that WB would survive without half of his head ? Blackbeard finished off a Whitebeard that was literally a walking dead man, moving only off of his will power. Blackbeard needed his entire crew to finish off a dead man. Without the wounds from Akainu WB would neg diff Blackbeard and his entire crew.

Sakazuki’s attacks are all WAY more dangerous in a 1v1 compared to kaido’s, however kaido’s attacks are more devastating overall, hope that makes sense.

Akainu might not destroy that mountain, but getting hit by that attack would mean losing a limb or your life. Similar to Magellans poison i guess. it isn't very devastating but it's EXTEMELY lethal.

Yonkou over admiral, although I have my suspicion that akainu has conqueror haki. Kinemon has plot armor. Kinemon was basically operating with the wacky properties of law devil fruit even though law reconnected his body.

Old man WB was the weakest Yonki but still can beat each admiral 1vs1 8 out of 10 times. Thats with the stab wound and haeart attack without that he beats them 10 out of 10 1v1. High diff but still he wins
That's cap, most of the attacks WB was landing on Akainu and the other admirals were filler. In the manga WB was getting folded by the admirals.

White Beard was arguably the weakest yonko because of 1) He was old and had heart attacks 2) he was very sick 3) his Haki was down (main point) 4) add to that some serious injuries.
Haki is the main component here.
Before Marineford, yonko are super durable mainly because of their haki. Their haki is so powerful that they create storm clouds just from clashing.
Admirals are known for their powerful DF. Their DF would overwhelm almost anyone in the one piece world. They also have good range which makes them over powered when fighting multiple opponents. The only way to counter them is to use an opposing DF or a stronger Haki.
And that is the main advantage of yonko over admiral. They can successful fight admirals for extended periods of time while deal potent damage. Their range may or may not be great but that wouldn't matter in a 1v1 (speed can make up for it). Moreover, they also mostly have some of the most powerful DFs as well or some great weapon mastery.
The way I see it, admirals will thrive in group battles while yonko are best at 1v1. There is a good reason while you might want to bet on Kaido on 1v1. As well as why Kaido values haki more. In fact, the fact that we have people like Roger and Shanks is very telling.
This is not to say admirals have no haki just like how most yonko also have powerful DFs.
This is while I also believe Luffy has surpassed old WB but not Kaido.
Big Mom would also be somewhere in the middle because she relies too much on DF (her durability is still top notch though).
On the other hand, I think BB will go/has gone beyond admirals because he has mastered multiple DF. If he gets another DF like say a Black Tortoise or some other mythical Zoan, his durability would also be up there (and it will be sure to have other useful abilities). This will mean that by then he would have ATK, DEF, and DEBUFF. Which would still make him have an easier time with the admirals that a typical yonko. If he awakens ALL the his DF...

fr lol it's a major waste of time imo cause we didn't see characters even going all out and haki was barely as lethal as it currently is. one piece lacks the ability to flesh characters out in great detail which leaves people coming up with headcanon on who they think is stronger most the time.
and people having featless characters like shanks as the strongest with no valid reasoning behind it.
@@avalac7412 ryou was displayed in marineford by the three admirals when they pushed their hands out and akainu used future sight to dodge vista’s Haki slash. Vista himself even stated that he infused Haki. Two out of three forms of advanced Haki were shown in marineford.

6:50 nah bruh we all know observation haki is inconsistent asf. Kaido aint make it work if thats the case why couldn't kaido and luffy (two people whose observation haki is so good they can use future sight) sense the cp0 agent before he jumped onto luffy
