@@GET2222 this is a trash take, Rivian started the concept of the R1s in 2016, before that they were making a modular sports car then scrapped it because it wasn’t what people would have bought. R1s started delivering in 2020 …so not the same as teslas situation at all. Elon was also already a billionaire when Tesla was starting delivery’s. RJ came from the ground up, not a rich family. RJ had to find investors and sell the product to get backing. Idc what anyone says RJs a beast and Rivian is gonna be absolutely okay 🤷🏻♂️

Cool!! R2 does sorta feel like the overlooked middle child though. The R3 is so sporty and fun and the weight of the world/company sits on the shoulders of the R1.

I get in my Rivian R1T and ride in silence. I don't subscribe to Spotify, dumped that silly radio app they offered (which was free and then moved to a subscription model) and fumble my way through using my iPhone. So, I'm either listing to local radio like I did in the 80's in my Dodge D250 or ride in silence. It's crap.
It’s a shame it’ll never make large scale production as they already lose $50k+ per high end truck, and have no way to scale. They’re on pace for bankruptcy by mid ‘25.

Rivian's R2 gameplan is preposterous. The R2 is tentatively planned for Jun '26; which could mean Jun '28. Rivian is tracking to declare bankruptcy sometime in '24 or '25 at the latest; depending if Rivian can raise more funds or not. By selling the R1S for $90k, Rivian is losing $1.5 bill/qtr. By selling the slightly smaller R2 for $45k, Rivian's losses will probably double. In summary, very unlikely Rivian will ever sell even one R2. Very likely Rivian enters bankruptcy in '24 or '25 at the latest
