I dare Rivian to make the R3s affordable. They will sell like hotcakes
Can’t sell hotcakes without a profit margin
@@ItsAlive111Are we really pretending EVs arent already profitable without sketchy accounting? The amount of labour they require is very little compared to gas cars, and the RND is significantly less than gas cars too, since you can truly reuse the same platform for a wider range of vehicles.
@@BeefIngot I’m not pretending anything. Why don’t you google “EV profit margin” and read what the consensus is
$45k is affordable for what it is. Made me thinking of buying one now.
I like them!! Hopefully pricing can be more accessible.
That R3 reminds me ol old Dodge Omni, I can't unsee it.
This R3X is sweet
3:07 Hi Dan, Hi Zach!
Will be interested to see if Rivian makes a R2T variant some time in the future as their entry for the North American mid-sided Pickup market. A Competitor to the Ford Ranger as the R1T is to the F150 Lightning.
Looks awesome
it's like a modern LADA
I need R2T and R3T (single cab)
They should release the R3 models first, by far the coolest EVs from anyone... I really hope they offer a less expensive option of the R3x, all the cool trim and taller ride height, but with only 2 motors to bring the cost down...
Prototype is easy, mass production is hard.
Rivian is almost banckrupt. They need a lot of money to put R2 and R3 in the market at a decent price. I gave them max 10% to succeed this
Great design though
Flash light on the door, Skoda
Where's a affordable truck 😅
No smaller affordable truck… 😂
The R3 looks like an old VW Rabbit with a Rivian front-end to me.
For the comments about lack of affordability or the need to sell every car at a profit, please do a little research on economies of scale and Wright’s Law. EV startups have to survive scaling up production while selling an affordable car. Tesla has already achieved it and I think Rivian will as well. Lucid would stand a better chance if they weren’t paying their CEO hundreds of millions of dollars.
They need to get their most affordable products to market and fast. The only thing slowing down EV adoption at this point is $$$$... With a $50K price tag you've basically priced out anyone making less than six figures... Not cool!
Amazed they are still in business they had a lot of issues with the first ones
Cool! I really came here to see how many people think they are now automotive experts!
Many manufacturer's borrowing heavily from the discovery "boxish" design. I have seen Hyundai. KIA do this as well.
This one gives me defender vibes...
You need a camper feature when in the cold you cannot get the car charged.
Hope you all keep warm sleeping bags in the car.
It's funny you think Rivian will be around in 2 years.
Every single car they make looks like a joke.
A bread bin on wheels... yawn
Is it just me or anyone else thinks boxy cars are ugly?
If you don't like it buy a Tesla.
Just you
@@bonanzabrandon6877 Even the CyberTruck looks better and more aerodynamic. I’m seriously thinking of getting the rear wheel version when it’s out next year.
@@Chevy4vida Apparently I got one thumbs up, so at least one other person thinks so. It just doesn’t look aerodynamic to me. For an EV, that’s probably important.
The model looks very boring
2026 🤨🤔
Which really means 2027 or 2028 before production reaches any real volumes
