If you liked this vid, wait until the next one… 👌🏼👯♀️ will be up Wednesday!!
Awesome video! Martin is a legend..and Brad is carrying a few extra kilos, no?😶
WOW!!! the joy and happiness you feel in this vid is so powerful I cant help but feel joyous and happy too. and then you get to chat with Matt Stephens!!!! I am in total Awe. You two would make Dynamic presenter Duo for a new vibrant Cycling Channel.
Matt Stephens seems like such a nice bloke and it’s always nice to hear him and Dan Lloyd commentating together for GCN
What a gem Matt Stephens is, such a great ambassador for the sport. I know he loves crisps so that was definitely a good question for Matt 😋
Yeah good question Katie! Especially to a man with so much experience and knowledge of cycling.
What you did Katie, by completely transforming your physiology, fitness, and physique impresses me more than what any World Tour Pro cyclist accomplished in their palmarès.
Awww Martin!! Thank you!!! Xxxx
Wow what an honor it’s so awesome you get to have a chance to do things like that you are awesome thank you for sharing take care Katie
John, it really is and don’t and won’t ever take this for granted. Thanks for coming along for the ride :)
The legendary Matt Stevens. What a lovely guy. GCN hasn't been the same. Great video.
It's great to have an insight into the world of exclusive cycling events. I am guessing at over £2000 a ticket it is the minority who would get to experience this. The great thing about this video is that, even though it costs a fortune to go on this event, it highlights the Isle of Wight, and anyone can cycle that route for free. Passenger ferry from Lymington is really cheap, so it would make a great day out. Love the down to earth commentary and interview with Matt. I'm 100% up for a crisps based question :-) Thanks for video.
Love how the internet has enabled so many different facets of the "cycling world" to develop and provided a way to pull them together.
Matt played a part the selection of my last bike purchase. Knowledgeable, solid guy! What a great experience
Awesome vid, great insight into the leblanq tours, they look amazing, and the interview with Matt was brilliant , when I first got into cycling he was presenter on GCN, loved is videos on training, nutrition, and cycling etiquette...top stuff, brill presenter 😀👍
He really is!!
That's awesome for you to meet Matt Stephens....He was definitely the funniest presenter at GCN, but he moved on to better things for himself.
Yeah he was always my fave too! He’s a top bloke :)
i did not even recognize him
Well _that_ was unexpected & awesome! Thanks for bringing us with you, Katie!
Incredible video, loved it and Matt is one of my favourite people and his laugh gets me every time. I rode around the Isle of Wight a couple of years ago and it was amazing and definitely want to do it again
Wow! Sean Yates, what a legend from my era!!!
Matt Stephens cracks me up on social media. Seems such a genuine guy and all round nice bloke. What an event to be at.
That was great Katie, loved the matt Stevens ".. Stop filming!" bit
Good luck with your time trial
😂🤣
Just love Matt Stephens, such a genuine guy. Enjoyed this Katie. Thanks for posting.
Hey Katie so glad you loved my training ground and met Russell great guy. You picked a great day to ride 👍👍👍
Crazy, bonkers, brilliant! Life is about taking the opportunities and enjoying what comes your way. Good video. Look forward to part 2. 👍
Yeah looks like a lovely place to go ride & the good weather always helps , had my 1st trip to honister pass yesterday and oh boy what a climb , awesome landscape blown away took many photos , will be back there
Thx for taking time to chatting with me before your Saturday ride. You had the perfect day cycling around my little island. Glad you enjoyed it 👌
Andrew of course! Was lovely to meet you!! You have some cracking roads!!
Yeah. Matt is a fantastic ambassador for cycling and having a bit of a laugh. I think the ride must have been made extra good by having you there Katie!!
“Is there anything you can’t do Matt”. ..... well yes... the first thing I thought of was CLIP IN 😹👍 love him . Great vid Katie’ X
Fully deserve such luxuries Katie, your hard work putting these videos together should reap a few nice rewards
Not jealous much! 😂 What a brilliant experience 👍🚴
It was great to see you all at the weekend on our lovely island,l do love cycling over here. I was the man at the top of Blackgang hill on the Saturday edging you on as you was leading the Hill climb.Well done Katie I’m pleased you enjoyed yourself, you’re always welcome back for a ride round the island with us.
Yesss I saw you!! Thanks so much for cheering us on. You really do have a beautiful island with some cracking beaches. And some beast hills!!
Thank you, take care and be safe.
Love cycling on the Isle of Wight. It’s just a nice place to ride and as they keep say, the road surfaces are fantastic.
Looks like a fantastic weekend !
Thanks for sharing 😊
Great video, I live in Hampshire and the scenery is amazing no matter how many times you cycle around it. 🚴👍
Forget Brad, it's Gareth Winter that is the true legend. His Instagram feed is awesome. Brilliant video Katie. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Don’t be telling him that, his ego will get even bigger! 👯♀️
@@KatieKookaburra haha 🤔😉
lovely to see and be inspired by
Genuinely brilliant video! Cheers!
WHAT. A. GREAT. TRIP!!! I've never been anywhere near there... yet! Lucky you!!! Be safe out there!
Great you got to see Matt, I think he seems such a down to earth guy think and I really think GCN does miss him massively its never the same without him.
Great video though enjoyed it isle of white looks great place to ride.
That looked like great fun. A longer Q & A with Matt Stephens would be much appreciated. See if you can persuade him ha ha.
Wonderful to see you chatting to the great Matt Stephens. I heartily recommend listening to his podcast ‘Matt Stephens Unplugged’. What a fantastic weekend it must have been.
I have to agree Isle of Wight on Sat 18th Sep 21 was absolutely beautiful weather the right temperature - not too hot or cold. I enjoyed my 60 miles ride, had to stop a couple of times for fluids. I am sure I saw you guys wizz past me and didn't realise Katie you were there, would have stopped and said hello.
Would have loved that!!! Hope you enjoyed the ride x
I've been on a few celeb rides over the years. They're always great fun and a great opportunity to learn.
Look at you…out with the pros 😀…amazing KK…you deserve such a lovely time…it’s nearly as nice as Scotland there ❤️
Looks idyllic. If you think that's special you should try the Quiberon peninsula on the west coast of Brittany. 30km for one lap so you'll get to enjoy it multiple times. Coastal riding at its finest.
Insane. Literally looks like the best place/ride/food/company all rolled into one celebrity sprinkled pudding.
Soak it in and enjoy it. 👍
Brilliant what a day, so many characters of cycling, and fantastic weather.😍
I live close to the IOW and done that ride a few times. It is a good one 👌
good for you to have such a treat
wow looks amazing. Could be a trip in our van when its sorted..
Just be yourself eh! Really enjoyed my visits to the Isle of Wight … Cowes (sailboats), Shanklin, Ventnor and the Needles … brilliant. Looking forward to part two!
WOW amazing vid Katie.
I did IOW back in July for the first time ever. Fell off the pace around 30 miles in. Tough day but made it home. We started from Ringwood so 18 miles each way to Lymington. 108 miles for the day. Longest ride so far too. IOW is local so need to do it more.
Love Matt, absolute legend. Do you watch his cafe ride series?? Great.
Is that an invite only event??
If you’re ever down this way again please do try to get to Ringwood and get to the award winning Cafe Velo.
Thanks as always 🙂🙂
I could watch Matt chat nonsense all day 😂 Legend
What a brilliant video and so jealous. Great company and a great ride
How lucky were you! Awesome thanks for sharing!
So bloody lucky! Xx
This looks incredible what a memory would love to do this x
This must have been a great ride, wow.
Amazing video, looked a great event - enjoy the rest of it.
Fantastic video Katie!
Matt Stephens is a legend and the reason i am a MAMIL! What a top bloke! Thanks for searching him out.
wow, congrats - you've hit the big time now! I mean, Matt Stevens?!?! And SBW! (When Matt was talking about being inadequate in certain areas did he mean clipping-in?)
The beach view omg it’s so awesome
Wow great to see Matt miss him in GCN
Oh and way to go on the climbing, you look very determined
Greetings from a Mexican Fan
Thanks for sharing. I've been to the Isle of Wight several times but never on a bicycle. I HAVE MISSED OUT not only on the ride but on the bright smile of Katie Kookaburra. Nice to see Matt as well!
Matt is such a nice bloke! :)
@@KatieKookaburra Yes, and I miss him as a GCN presenter. Always self-deprecating and a good laugh. Has he mastered the art of clipping in yet? Does he have a blog or a You Tube channel?
Never been to the isle of Wight but I've been meaning to get back to the UK after lockdown. Roads look good.
Life is great with the right people around you
WOW SIR BRADLEY WIGGINS!!
Fabulous and nice to hear some Catfish backing the video. 👍👍👍
Shout out to Matt always the man on GCN
I wonder if he can clip in yet
Did anyone mention that Sean Yates won a Road Race on the Isle? (Ventnor Classic?) From memory, with a 70 ish mile solo break, yip.
Fantastic vid Katie but Sir Bradley Wiggins should do a Riding with Katie kookaburra and Matt Stephens vid himself. He should be honoured. Your both legends in your own right.
Lucky you!
Looks like an absolutely fantastic experience. I know its expensive but actually looks good value when you factor in everything you are getting. I saw your rides on strava and assumed you were on a cheap weekend with the van! Haha
Hahahaha little bit more than a tin of soup in the back of the Fiat 😏
Love the Island, well done! X
Was nice to see you came to the island there are a few pot holes about 😀
Well I didn’t see one we must have had the exceptional road route edition.
Blimey, you and Matt! Dream team presenter package 😊
Love this Katie ...how far have you come xx
Gotta love Matt. Legend!
I'm in Mallorca at the moment... Unfortunately it looks like you had Mallorca's weather, because right now it's pouring down (much like when I last rode on the Isle of Wight!).
Great video what a job you've got brilliant enjoy young lady
Awesome
What an amazing experience. 😎
I have also met Matt at a zwift event. Honestly so down to earth!
Brilliant! Actually you should organise a subscribers ride next summer The IOW Kuokaburra lol , where subscribers get to me you and ride with you ….but maybe not the fancy food , some of us are not that refined lol
Fantastic. Matt is just lege!!
Beautiful content.
Wow as usual super content love everything you do Katie your so inspiring! One question are you not using your wahoo anymore? Anyway can’t wait to see the next one! 👍❤️
Brilliant video 🚴♀️🍀
What an incredible experience you all had and such a good advert for the Isle of Wight. Btw Matt, being an adult means that crisp sandwiches don't need to stop when you turn 12 (I should know, as someone who sells photos of crisp sandwiches 🤣).
Looks super inclusive. 😂 glad you enjoyed it tho Katie.
It’s not going to be for everyone I totally get that.
Good day out!!
Flat Continental Aussie.
Hi Katie Thanks for that looks like it was a good ride always something to do have you been watching the worlds in Belgium?
Brilliant!!!
Brilliant. !!!
Used to love Martin GCN and how much he laughed
Isn't life wonderful ❤
Crikey, lives of the loaded. Beautiful scenery 🚴🏻♂️
🎶She's gotta ticket to Ryde🎶
Looks great! Is this an event open to the public?
Yeah all the details are here: www.leblanq.com
@@KatieKookaburra ah thanks :)
Yes if you have the money
Love Matt Stephens!
Hi Katie, do you know how much these events cost if you want to participate without being invited? It's absolutely mind blowing and frankly speaking I'm not really sure, these posh cycling events, are really representing the cycling philosophy Matt was talking about.
They are pricey for sure but you don’t have to do these, but it’s good to have options. You know me, I love nothing more than a ride and kip in a cheap hotel and eat a Pot Noodle 😂 but this was awesome as a change. But don’t EVER feel you need to do an ‘event’ or ride a certain bike or wear a specific brand of clothing to be considered a cyclist. If you ride a bike, you’re a cyclist :) the events are just the icing on the cycling cake x
Awesome Katie
OMG you got to talk to Matt Stephens. Absolute legend. 👍🏼👍🏼
Surely this has just got you signed up as a guest on Matt Stephen’s Unplugged 😅
Reckon you’d ace Guess that snack too!
Matt Stephens total legend .👍
You were beaming at the beginning of this video. You made me think that it was the really good weather and nice roads. But then, you cleaned up pretty and stylish... and then, you get to talk to Matt Stephens!
I really think I would completely blank on what to say if I ever met a celebrity. If I met you, I would be trying to manage a goofy smile and be like "Hi! Um, you're neat!" lol Yeah, I'm more composed at a keyboard or on paper.
