Very nice foam on the axles. That is a huge problem with shipping e-bikes, is protecting the derailleur and brake rotors

I believe the pedal assist is a legal requirement in some states. For example, here in Florida electric bikes are legally limited to a 20 mph top speed with throttle, but are allowed up to 28 mph with pedal assist. I'm not sure how other states do it, but it's probably something similar. Really pointless laws in my opinion.

That bike just zips through! Unlike European e-bikes that have electric assist active when pedaling only, are limited to 25km/h with gradual cutoff, and max motor power is 250W.

Try turning PAS down to 0 to turn the pedal assist off. I don’t like the rudimentary cadence sensor pedal assist, either. Too dangerous 😅 I’ve sent my bike across the garage on accident more times than I’d like to admit , by accidentally spinning the cranks when not on the bike
that will turn off throttle too on most ebikes
Which Lectric model do you have? I have a heavily modified 2.0 and my only problem is the rear spokes breaking all the time.

Haha you would hate it here in germany. Only pedal assist is allowed up to 25km/h. The bike is not allowed to drive under its own power. Because then it is concidered a Mototbike. Anything else and you need a licence and insureance. And completely forget building your own thats highly illegal too.
Yeah those laws are why the Sinclair C5 was so limited

I could really use an e-bike, the moped takes too much money to get it fixed up, and legal.
