TY for THIS interview! As Spiritual Healing WAS my 1st introduction to DM, not long after it's release, as I had a buddy from HS, that was ALWAYS gettin the newest and MOST recent "Extreme Music" releases... BACK then, of course, like some others? I COULDN'T do the vocals but, I LOVED the drums AND the KILLER production of them on the CD.... Few plus years went on by, and in about 95-96 I got another drum kit and eventually gravitated to the whole Death and Black METAL movement/music and of course...One of my 1st go to CDs to get, back then, WAS Spiritual Healing....STILL, one of my ALL TIME personal favorite DM releases of ALL time, no doubt....I don't really know WHAT happened to the band on tour etc. But I DO, remember my buddy (the same one from H S.that originally turned me onto such bands) telling me later that Chuck (or maybe Murphy) "HAD BEEN committed to a mental facility DURING/AFTER the Spiritual touring , OR something?"....🤔 Any and either ways? Spiritual is the one (ALWAYS OVERSHADOWED by it's predecessor HUMAN) that ya just NEVER really hear that much about, within the DEATH releases, but.... Again? It's my personal favorite of the early DEATH music style.... With Symbolic being my favorite amongst their more latter, "progressive" stylings. ROCK the funk ON 😎🤘🔥🤘

In regards to Aara: the singer Fluss ("river") is a woman, they are three-piece (with Berg ("mountain") and J.) and the cover is a painting based on a real photo from the incident in the 1930s, where you see one of the dead mountaineers being rappelled from the "murder wall" (famous north face of the Eiger mountain in Switzerland). Not a dog😅 And their record label Debemur Morti has bands like Ulcerate, Akhlys, Blut aus Nord in their rooster...so you could assume to stumble over Aara because of that. Maybe.

I agree that Steve Tucker's performance on Kingdoms of the Disdained was phenomenal. The aggression, articulation, and attitude in his vocals left me in awe when I heard that album for the first time. I think Steve's death metal vocals are up there with the best, and I'm happy such a great vocalist ended up working with Trey.

I loved his drumming in leprosy. Oh course i have a softspot for drummers that use paiste and sonor.

I always thought FFttF was heavily influenced by the "new" Steve Tucker. Hearing it was all Trey shouldn't be surprising but kind of is. Either way Steve is a legend and the world still needs Morbid Angel! Get well soon Trey so you can keep making more! More more! Now! :)

I will see Andy for the 3rd time in November. He's one of the greats.

It's funny I knew of Death prior to Andy playing on that record. But never really listened to them. When I heard that Andy was going to be on that record I bought it and have been a death fan since. Andy is one of the most under rated guitar players he is just so good!
