It’s not uncommon for AFAB people from southeast Asian countries to grow some facial hair, or at least some peach fuzz, without HRT. My best friend is from India and is a trans man, but prior to HRT, he grew enough facial hair that he’d either need to shave or pluck.
Plus, there’s plenty of cis women with PCOS that have the ability to as well.
And many more reasons why AFAB, cis women included, might grow facial hair.
I bet these guys wouldn’t find it attractive if their cis women partners grew it out and didn’t shave, wax, or remove it in some capacity.

Can we talk for a moment about how sexist this commercial is? All women in it are portrayed as basically his slaves or servants carrying around his clothes as if he is a king and they serve him, otherwise they have to stay in the back and be silent, but also serve as decorations (I don't want to judge the actresses themselves, I'm sure they might not have been particularly happy about it themselves but work is work -- but it is clear that the purpose of their portrayal was sexual objectification, and not as a means for them to express themselves sexually, but as a means to please the main guy in the video and the male audiences).

The bright blue razor is significantly cheaper than the one designed to provide a positive consumer experience, and a single-bladed razor is even cheaper than that... but I think we both know that the Wilkinson's or Bic's arent the same product as the Mach 3 which I'm sure isnt the one you buy anyway... because on the Walmart website, Gillette's Mach 3 razor (with 3 blades) is 4 dollars more expensive than Gillette's Venus with 4 blades and 3x the price of the equivalent 3-bladed Venus. The most common brand of mens razor is significantly more expensive than the most common brand of women's razor so I'm sure you are buying the very cheapest option on the shelf, which is a luxury that you wouldnt have if you had to shave your jugular every day.
If the only difference between the men's and women's razors is the color, switching brands is about to improve your quality of life in a minor way.
Some knives are designed for cutting bread and some are designed for cutting vegetables... and some knives are plastic and designed to be put in the garbage.
If your razor wasnt designed specifically for shaving legs or necks, it's probably not suitable for either use.

but why have women been told they have to shave? oh yeah because men have told woman if they don’t they are dirty and disgusting even women, not the men,on survival shows are given razors to shave because even in nature woman can’t be hairy. what is the only type of female that is completely hairless? oh yeah prepubescent girls. Now we have transwoman telling us we must shave because if we grow out our armpit hair, pubic hair, arm hair, leg hair, all things that grow naturally on woman, we don’t “pass” enough to be woman we are now androgynous, non-binary or a trans man. once again men telling us what it means to be a woman and how to be a woman.
we don’t need make up we don’t need skirts and dresses and heels to make us woman we just are. the only one i see with a medieval sexist and misogynistic view is you 🤷🏽‍♀️

Branding definitely can reinforce stereotypes but branding can also break stereotypes, it depends on who’s behind the brand and what their worldview and vision for their business is. The brands that will last the longest are the ones that add to the identity of the person that purchases from that brand. This “manly men only” razor will appeal to men that deep down are insecure about their masculinity and need a product to bandaid over their insecurity complex, and they will find that buying a razor from a company that only holds surface level values of what a man is, will not really make them feel more manly for very long. In other words, I don’t see this product doing very well. This whole gendered product thing is pretttttty tired, and I hope that companies are finding they can make a lot more money and have more brand equity by creating higher quality shaving products that anyone can use.

      @@Kasiarzynka
      Hey there
I do not think that there is a signifikant group of people that say masculinity is per se toxic.
If you are reffering to the phrase of "toxic masculinity" then let me explain how I understand it, and how i think most people who use it mean it.
Toxic masculinity describes the social expectation that men are suppose to be in a certain way.
The same norm declares that men, who do not behave according to it (the norm), are to be sanctioned by labeling them as unmanly.
This label of "unmanlyness" comes with a pejorative connotation.
This norm in itself is hurtfull (aka. toxic) because it restricts men in their expression.
But what the norm declares as manly is often also toxic.
      Let me give some examples:
The Norm say's that it is unmanly for men to wear skirts or dresses. So if I was to wear a dress I would be sanctioned through (for example) mockery or so.
This is a mild example for how the mere existence of a norm can be hurtfull.
But the norm of manlyness also declares that it is unmanly for men to show any other emotion than rage.
This is toxic in multiple way's.
It leads to men committing the majority of violent crimes, but it also leads to men having a significantly higher suicide rate.
I think this shows quite plausible how the norms of the patriarchy do hurt everyone, women the most, but also men.

@@sportenapfeltorten2095 Oh my God I'm sorry you felt the need to elaborate. The /s at the end of my comment stands for sarcasm, so I didn't mean anything that I wrote! :D I was just paraphrasing people misunderstanding what "toxic masculinity" is. Because i've literally seen people, including political/social commentators, go like "people who use the term toxic masculinity say that masculinity, THUS MEN are toxic" while it's obviously not what the term stands for. I was basically mocking this attitude because I honestly can't tell if people who equate the two have an agenda they follow so it's convenient for them to say "look, these folks over there said you're toxic!", or if they're plain stupid. Probably both, depending on person.
It is pretty obvious and as far as I know proven, that yes, many things that are commonly classified as "toxic masculinity" are in fact not good for men. Supressing one's feelings, or having to be a "manly macho alpha man" are among those most obvious and most devastating ones. We would all benefit from it, men, women and non-binary/queer people alike, if we could just step outside that silly bubble of "men are not allowed to cry".
And don't even get me started on people saying that "feminists want to rule over men and want everything for women and nothing for men", lol. Feminism in its most basic understanding is equal rights regardless of gender. So where there is inequity, be it in favor of men or women, they will work for improvement of quality of life for everyone. I mean there is always gonna be radical feminists but like idk, I feel like they're kinda weird, like there are literally feminists who go like "uhm, you weren't born a woman and don't menstruate so like, you don't count" towards trans women, like what the heck. But that's offtop I guess.
So yeah, I totally agree with you on the toxic masculinity one :D

Trans people have been around for thousands of years, but with social media we can finally speak out about what it’s like to be in our shoes without fear of being punished, jailed, beaten, or even killed for who we are. We can talk anonymously about our lives from the comfort of our own homes. I think it's stupid of people to dismiss trans people by calling them mentally ill. From my understanding of what a mental disorder is, based on all other things classified as mental disorders, gender dysphoria is a mental disorder, but so is severe anxiety and depression. Just because someone struggles with mental illness doesn't mean they're insane. But yeah, if you have a purely psychological condition that if left untreated results in other mental disorders like depression and disassociation, then yeah, I'd call that a mental illness. But, people who use mental disorders to dismiss people's arguments often have such a tenuous grip on reality, they might as well be insane!
