4:24 "Oh it just a setting or something" is so accurate. No one actually wants to hear you nerd out, their curiosity is only surface level

"Oh, you're using Computers, in a way Computers are meant to be Used, rather than using it like a pre-packaged product (windows)? that's soooo weeeeeird. Don't be weird, just follow the crowd, don't think deeply or anything else. (LOL)
    glory to weirdness
This Will help you develop your introverted side.
Everyone is a hybrid. Your extrovert and introvert work together.

It's too late for you, lad. :) You found FOSS, you found religion... What's next, Libertarianism? Gardening? Restoring old tools and machines? Learning Latin? You will never be a normie again, but they are not bad people to be around. Good decision to stay close to the normies and not obsess with geek stuff.

In most third world countries, using iPhone is a source of ridicule since it shows that you are not responsible, basically because you are spending a fortune when other people you know or even they themselves are having a hard time financially xddd

I really like this type of video, just venting about things you think. Hope you do this more often.

As you probably know from switching from windows/mac to linux theres alot of things which just don't work and you don't really care to fix them or find a 1:1 replacement. There's just alternate ways of doing things which have their own pros and cons. With moving towards more libre and freedom respecting software/hardware it's basically just the same thing; you get used to it and don't care too much afterwards because it's just life.
What you'll probably end up realizing is that a lot of the things that people say are necessary to live really don't matter that much. That's kind of where FOSS software comes in because there's no incentive behind it, it typically is just made to get things done without trying to milk you for some kind of revenue.
For example I decided to quit youtube and instead just subscribe to the channels I actually like via RSS feeds. I've saved many many hours of mindless scrolling because of it and no longer rely on the youtube algorithm to keep me entertained. It's now much easier for me to just pick up a book or go out with some friends instead of watching something I don't really care for.
You don't need to be full on autistic with it and go tell everyone you meet but I genuinely feel like people could give up 90% of the random technology they use and be perfectly fine

Unless your entire life revolves around Linux and FOSS then you won't be called out for being weird. If it does, then you probably have other problems to worry about.

Everyone can choose to use closed source malware if they really want to - that's freedom. The problem is when the society forces everyone into using that closed source malware.

You have to make a convenience-privacy evaluation. Do you want to base your life around being socially acceptable and ignoring your true values, or do you want to live by following your values, maybe with a bit more discomfort? It's a calculation we all have to make, and there's not really a wrong answer.

i'm one of the genuinely of the introvert people i'm not shy if something needs to be done, i'm in college so i talk a lot about the processes that need to be done clearly so the group work gets done, so when someone needs help they come to me because i'm a bit know as a troubleshooter
i love fashion and models, anime/manga and ofc computers, i like long walks, i just do whatever works. i don't mind being seen or told as a nerd why? idk, i'm also been told that i'm cool, so who cares? i already passed the phase when i tried to be a normie on my HS days, didn't work (lol), i don't like not being true to myself
about the sigma thing i think it's funny it's satirical, but at the same time there's genuinity to it too. you can imagine walking and saying to yourself it's sigma time with cool song on the background

I'm a forced extrovert because of my job, but I am and always will be introverted by preference because the back and forth of communication is such a time slog.

I'm the same age as you and I completely agree; there is a balance that you need to have.
