Thanks for your video I just bought a new teryx and the walk around was great with the upgrades that help me a lot. I just upgrade from a 4 wheeler to this and I ride in the East Tennessee area. Thanks again and I’ll watch your other video.
We just pulled the trigger on an out of the box 2020 Teryx 4 800 and we love it. Absolutely love your videos. Already looked at your suggestions for add ons and made some Amazon runs as well. Did you have a video on the light bar installation or is it pretty straight forward? Keep up the great channel.
I had the light bar already installed before we started the channel. We have light bar install vids on the Polaris ranger and it’s pretty much the same. 👍 thanks for watching-Garrett
Seriously one of the best true to life reviews on the Teryx I have seen.. Thanks for all the info! I just moved up to Cedar and am looking at getting a 2 seater.
Dang, I found your channel an hour ago and you're killing me. I just bought a 2019 Teryx4 LE last Friday and now, thanks to your walk around, I just sent Amazon about $800 for add-ons....LOL. I just watched your rock crawling video and, WOW. Your Teryx really impressed me, keep up the great videos.
Thanks for sharing your information. I have a 2017 Defender XT-10 that I installed 2" spacers on the wheels. I also installed Mongrel 30X10X14 10 Ply DOT tires on the original 14 inch wheels. When I turn sharp and hit a rock that puts the front suspension at the furthest height, the tire will rub on that side, otherwise there is no rubbing.
Man this is one awesome rig, and really great review/overview! I’m looking to move into a Teryx4 coming from a Pioneer 500 mainly for the extra seating with short-ish wheel base, plus hopefully a little more sportiness. With 28” tires does the Teryx4 feel sluggish and can it break the rear end free in trail curves?
It honestly didn’t break the rear end that free with stock tires. It is a little sluggish off the line with the 28s but overall it really didn’t make that much of a difference. The clearance I gained is well worth the very little power I lost. Garrett
Love your set up what off set looking at 3.50x 3.50 what are your rims? looking to do the 2.5 high lifter, 2 inch wheel spacers, 28x10x14 tires on all 4 corners. Any suggestions
So my setup is 14x7 4.0 + 3.0 off set with Tusk Terrabites 28x10x14 all around. Also ran the spacers you mentioned. They work great and if you have seen my dads walk around vid I did, he ran the same set up but used the Tusk rim with the same off set and no spacers. -Garrett
Just wanted to say thanks for the videos. I ended up doing a lot of the same things to my Teryx your videos were helpful. Quick question do you know what size fuse you have in for your light bar?
Awesome vid! I got a 2014 with tracks and cab. Love it! So fun. Have the sane 2” lift with 30x10 14’s BFG’s and they rubbed. Wish I would’ve seen this last year!
Great Video! Thanks. I'm new to St George and ride the Burnt Orange T4. Do you have any Video's or Websites on local trails or groups? Also, what did you use for your floor mats? Look for you on the trail.
The links are in the description below the floor mats video. Also we can hit you up next time we ride. If you need anything let me know and I could probably meet up to help. -Garrett
I ran them as soft as they went for the mountains and most places. Also I heard removing the sway bar makes for a better ride. I never did try that though. -Garrett
Nicely done! I have enjoyed a lot of products from RMATVMC also. I find I get one day shipping from their warehouse in Payson to my door in St George. I will probably get a set of Terabyte tires from them this spring. Budget is important to most of us and I’m glad you talk about that. 👍😎
Could you give a demo of your light bar and where you purchased it from.I found your channel this morning while looking for more information about my 2015 Teryx 2 seater.
You can get these light bars on our website. derangedoffroad.com/ Also I can send you a few pics of the way it’s installed on my machine. Just send me a PM on Facebook.
Great video! I have the same 2017 T4 green here in Colorado. I need to upgrade wheels and I like your set up. I load mine in the back of a toy hauler so I need to watch the height of my machine. Would you mind telling me the max height of yours? How much of that height is from the high lifter suspension? I likely would not add that mod at this time. Just wheels and tires.
Hey what’s up, thanks for watching. The height of mine now would not fit in most of the toy haulers with rear beds that I looked at. The lift almost gave me 3 inches and the wheels 1 more inch. The link to the tires and wheels I have is in the description. The overall height at the highest is 80 inches.
Great videos to follow be sure to subscribe! Videos are full of lots of quality advise and product reviews. These guys don’t sell you on the big $$$ instead they get you on the trail with what works to keep you and your family safe at a reasonable cost! Thanks Guys!
Hi Matt, Garrett here, you said something about the Tusk tires and the DOT thing. I’m out of town but I believe my tires say DOT on the tire. Where did you find the info you had?
Deranged Off-Road Hey Garrett, I originally did say something but I felt it took away from the purpose of the video and the great job you guys do. I only mentioned the tires because I fought the battle of going DOT approved or not on my recent set on 28x10-14. If you look straight at Rocky Mountains site it says DOT test standard compliant. However they are great tires and I would choose to run them over my previous set of Mongrels any day. Just want to make sure out of state people who are required to have DOT approved tires don’t make a mistake and get in trouble for it. You guys are awesome! Thanks for the videos, they sent me down the UA-cam rabbit whole last night as I watched them all!
Matt Johnson all good, we like any info we can get. Utah doesn’t require them to be DOT in order to get passed for being street legal. When I get home I’ll check into more though and if I find anything out different on those tires I’ll let you know. 👍
Deranged Off-Road please let me know, we ride out of Utah as well and love the TUSK brand. Your crew should come hit up Hole in the Rock first weekend in May
Great video, I like your outside mirrors but I didn't catch the brand. You said you messed up the name, and I tried to stop the video to get it but was not able to! What was the brand again?
We have them in the link below the description and they are called Chupacabra. I also just used them on my dads 2019 Teryx which I have a vid coming out soon on that UTV. Thanks for watching-Garrett
Having hard time seeing where you mounted your light bar. Did you mount it to the roof? Or to the side up right of the roll cage? I have a fold-down windshield and want to make sure when I fold up I will have enough room for light bar
Great video. Just upgraded with 2" lift kit and spacers. Can you give me specifics on tire size front and back? got the 28x10x14 for the front, but didn't catch what you did in the rear. thanks.
I have a question about your light bar setup. Which light bar mounts did you use to mount your light bar? Did you use the vertical or horizontal? Thanks
Awesome video man, TERYX looks awesome! Question about how you mounted your front light bar. Hard to tell what brackets you used. Looks like you may have bought/made some custom brackets?!?!?!
Hey I bought those mounts because I felt they worked the best out of different ones I have seen. Send me a PM on Instagram Deranged.off.road and I’ll take a pic of them and give a you a link to find them.
This channel is awesome for us guys that just like to have fun and not spend our life savings on upgrades and compensating for other parts of our lives if you know what i mean. Question though....what are your thoughts on the rear dust screen? I have one currently and the guy i bought my 2016 from said he would never ride with out it. I see you dont have one. Have you tried one and dont like it or whats your thoughts there?
@@DerangedOffRoad If you do end up getting one let me know what you think about it and if it is worth having. I've wondered if it affects airflow in the cab at all. Probably doesn't but I'm curious.
I also am wondering honest opinion on the rear dust guard. I think this next spring I'll be getting one. Heard good things. Def a future review for you guys. Love the vids.
I’m still considering it. The only problem is I run a half windshield and I heard they work best with a full and rear dust screen combo. Maybe we will try it on my dads T4 he has a full. -Garrett
Hey watching your channel up here in CANADA. Got my created KAWASAKI Teryx4 coming in 2 days! Have Highlifter 2 1/2" lift kit and EVIL M1 28"X10"X14R 8 plys ordered. Seems very similar to your setup, so I have a question? Do I have to use a 2" spacer in combination with the Lift and tires, or can I use a smaller say 1" or even no spacers? Whats the Pros and Cons? The reason I ask is, I am trying to keep the width as close to 60" as possible. And I noticed your tires extending out a couple inches beyond the side of the body of the Teryx4? Can I keep the 28"X10"X14 tires with the 2" 1/2" lift kit and run NO SPACERS? Thanks in advance for your time! and Keep up the Great Videos!
Thanks for watching, watch the 2019 walk around vid as well. That machine is running no spacers and my 2017 is running 2 inch spacers. I personally felt that when going up I wanted to go out a little. The 2019 with no spacers seems to be running just fine. They say using the spacers seems to help the geometry of the axles even out, but I think it’s more the look you want your machine to have more then anything else. I don’t see much of a difference between either machine when it comes to the geometry at this point. -Garrett
@@DerangedOffRoad Wow super fast reply, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Ok Awesome, good to know! Watching it now! Cheers for the Great White North!
@@DerangedOffRoad I just watched the other Video and he switch out the OE Rims and went with those sweet Tusk rims, very nice! My question now is, did he buy rims with the exact same KAWASAKI OEM Rims Offset? Or did the dealership move him into an offset that is now needed to work with those larger 28" X 10" X 14" Tires? Kind Regards GRIZZLY PACK
So our rims we put a 4-3 off set all around which I believe is the same as stock up front, but rears are running something like a 5-2 off set on stock I believe.
I put a 2" lift on my 2020 T2 with 1.5" spacers. I tried a set of 29x9x14 front tires on MSA Kore 20 wheels, but the left front rubs on the bump out that appears to be there for the brake pedal (judging from the indentation on the interior) when I go full left. I now have a set of 28x10x14 tires on the same wheels and have the same rubbing problem. How were you able to use the 28x10x14 tires without rubbing?
Could you have spray painted the lift brackets black or orange? I just bought the same lift and want to paint mine black when it gets here. Do you think the paint will stick to the surface of the bracket in your opinion?
Nice Teryx I have one too I bought a light bar but those brackets didn’t work I was wondering what kind of brackets did you use on yours if you don’t mind sharing that info. Thank you
I used these to mount the brackets to that came with my light bar. 👍 -Garrett 1.75'' Custom Side Roll Cage Bull Bar Clamps LED Light Mount Bracket for ATV UTV Polaris Ranger RZR Ace General Arctic Cat Yamaha YXZ Kawasaki Teryx Jeep www.amazon.com/dp/B075D9CDTC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_p29WEbVSB64E6
I would Love to see your wifes review of the Teryx4. My wife and I are getting ready to pull the trigger on one, I've grown up on ATVs, my wife has never been trail riding, a womans perspective would definitely help put her at ease.
My wife really liked the Teryx4, but now that I have the KRX she says the ride is unbelievable. If you only need two seats the KRX is way comfortable. I would still buy a Teryx but she really like the KRX because of the ride. -Garrett
Hey guys love the channel ! Question Garrett I run a true 28" STI Chicanes on my Teryx 4 have a little rub on drivers side (stock suspension). Do you think a 1" or 1.5 spacer would eliminate this ?
I run the spacer and still had the rub, until I removed the little plate on the bottom of wheel well. After that no problem at all. Is yours in pieces or solid with welds?
@@DerangedOffRoad I grinded off the metal nub and it almost clears. I figured maybe a little spacer might do the trick. It is a solid weld one piece ...
@@DerangedOffRoad It's on piece. It has that metal nub I grinded it off smooth but still on full left turn rubs the inside corner. Going to pull the wheel off and see how much more clearance I need.
I believe you mentioned in your video that the 2 inch spacers were a must? I just wanted to clarify that. What offset was the wheels that you put on? Was it not enough? Also, how many inches of clearance do you have front and back with the bracket lift and bigger tires? Great video though. Thanks
I ran a 4.0 + 3.0 offset and it worked great with the spacers. The spacers provided some width and stability. I gained about 2 3/4 inches of ground clearance with the lift and new tires. It really made all the difference for everything and was a huge improvement for Mountain trails. -Garrett
Cannot find Your $40. Lightbar on the Mictuning Site? Again,....what size is it and what wiring Harness/Switch combo do You recommend I Use? Thanx Jim in Tucson Deranged Off-Road 1 year ago
Sorry this vid was like a year and half ago and I bought the light bar like two months before that. Probably won’t find a $40 one any longer. It’s also a 52” and it came with the harness setup. -Garrett
I’ve bought the tires and rims like you have on this teryx and getting my teryx in January, it’s not here at dealership yet. My question is do I need spacers and lift right off or can I wait. Will tires rub without spacers etc. if I need them I will buy them so I can get them on teryx as soon as I get it next month? Thanks for all your help, love you channel it’s been great
Hello. Have 2017 teryx4 800 le. I went with some tusk wheels, terrabites 28x10x14 tires and 2in spacers all the way around. The back wheels look like the camber is way different after I changed everything out. The bottom of the tire is further out than the top. Any ideas of how to correct, and did you have same issue?
Have a 2019 Teryx t2, just put Superatv a arms with installed ball joints. Not happy with the ball joints from Superatv, what ball joints do you recommend? Thanks
Hey Garret, quick question im buying a new teryx4 and just wondering if i can run 30"tires with stock clutch?i will be putting wheel spacers and superatv a-arms.thanx
So I’m running the 28’s and feel in my opinion that’s enough for a stock clutch. It seemed to make a difference for sure. If I was going to run 30’s I would do the clutch work for sure. I’m actually considering still doing the clutch work on mine soon. -Garrett
@@DerangedOffRoad Im just outside Ottawa Canada and wont be rock crawling just trails and a little muck, would u recomend getting rid of the sway bar?Thanx for your valued opinion-Clinte
Rock crawling in low gear doesn’t make much of a difference, I am more speaking about trail riding along with mud, sand and stuff where it matters more and you’re not always in low gear. Clutching would be great for that. I have not removed sway bar yet but thinking about it and a video to go along with it comparing the difference. -Garrett
Yes cab heat is a little problem more in southern Utah because of the heat, but having more comfy seats in the back of the Teryx out weights that for me. I have a heat shield install video as well you can watch. I really don’t know much about the Pioneer overall. I have 1300 miles on my Teryx and it’s been great with a great 3 year warranty to back it up. What part of Utah are you in?
@@DerangedOffRoad I'm in layton Utah just north of slc. By Hill AFB. I binge watched nearly all of your videos. Sweet machine. I still can't decide which machine to get, I'd like to test drive a few but most dealers don't have a test track. I have driven both the teryx and pioneer around the parking lot though. Pioneer was quieter for sure, but a bit jerky shifting through the gears. Top speed is higher on the Honda, but I've researched clutch options for the teryx. Do you have the clutch work done to increase top speed?
AngryOscar Dave here, I'm the one with the Can Am Defender. I just wanted to say that I see a lot of people leaving the pioneer and jumping into other machines. Personally I think the best bang for your buck the Teryx is a winner.
No I don’t have clutch work done, but might look at that option down the road. Really I hear a lot people talk about power and too speed. For me if you’re in the Sand power and speed is a big deal. For trail riding I really have no issues keeping up with anyone. Don’t really hit 50 much on trails.
Joe here, I'll chime in as well. Unless you plan to ride in the sand, I don't think you could go wrong with the Teryx. The Honda I'm sure is a great machine as well but I just can't get past the back seats. I don't think my 9 year old would be happy back there, let alone an adult. If your looking for a 2 seater, that won't matter. Other than that, it's probably a great machine. I don't think you can beat the value you get from a Teryx4. My $0.02.
Do you run duel batteries? I want to get a large light bar like that but I have a 100 watt stereo and winch already hooked up to the battery, think that would be a lot on the battery?
I have 52” light bar, rear cube lights, rock lights, lighted whip, cab lights, winch and stereo on one battery still. I have had most of it hooked up over a year now and no problem and still using the battery it came with. -Garrett
What bracket did you use for the 52in. light bar? I bought the same one in the description and 2 different brakets and can't mount it. Btw I have the same sxs.

How did you set up your suspension with the lift. I have the same high lifter on mine with 2 spacers and it seems kinda tipsy and rides ruff. I ride the rocks and mountains in northern Utah
I haven’t done much but set the clickers to the softest setting. I plan on removing front sway bar soon. I have heard that helps a lot for the ride. Can I ask what tires you run?
My opinion is that’s the problem. I ran stock and they handle like crap out here in Utah. For one they have a soft side wall and you get a lot of play even going down a dirt road. I have a link to the tires and rims I run on the description. Running the Tusk Terrabites 28x10 with 14 inch rim all around. After putting those on made a world of difference for my machine. It’s not as tipsy as well and they are DOT approved.
good looking Teryx :) just bought mine and that damn mod bug sank its teeth into me lol. I already ordered LED light bar like yours and the side view mirrors
You will be happy with the light bar. For the price I have had mine for 14 months no issues so far and water tight. Hopefully I put together a wiring video soon as well. Thanks for watching hope you subscribed.
Randy Hudson I just added the two links in the description at the very bottom. You can find my set up there and they are about the same price as Rocky Mountain.
If you ever change shocks do not go to King shocks they do not back their shocks. ordered some too long and I did not know nothing about shocks until people start telling me they were too long but King shot will not back their product and get me new ones
I hate to ask... but do you have a sand tire recommendation for t4? Going to glamis with a bunch of 1000 and just don't wanna look like a fool. Thanks guys
Honestly the Big Horns are a great tire in the sand for the Teryx. You will not have the HP like the 1000 so you want the least amount of paddle possible. Air down to 6 or 7 psi and it should do great. If you want to try a paddle tire try running these on it. Very little paddle and it will help float across the sand verses digging in to much. -Garrett System 3 Off-Road System 3 OffroadSS360 Sand/Snow Tires
@Deranged Off-Road thanks homie 🙏really appreciate it. I'll just run the stocks for now then. If I did end up with a paddle I was looking at those ss360. Just don't wanna spend the money for a once a year trip. Thanks again keep the kawi videos coming! 🤑
Over all for what I was looking for they work great. I would like a little more bass out of the rears and sound so I have purchased a small $40 amp for those two speakers. I will do a follow up video of install and sound when done. With the whole system being around $200 bucks I feel it was a big win for me. It’s also way better then the crap boss with built in amp set up I had before. That was like $140 for that two speaker setup. -Garrett
@@DerangedOffRoad IS the $200 setup with that new video " stero on a budget"? I have a 2015 Teryx 4 that I just bought that only has 800 miles on it. I noticed it doesnt have the same dash setup as yours for the stereo. What would you recommend?
@@DerangedOffRoad Thank you. Im trying to find the setup you had before with the two speakers and just the controller so I can just use my phone but I cant find it.
The front brackets went on in 15 minutes really easy. The rear took a little time because of drilling the third hole. Some lifts don’t have you drill the hole. 👍
I thought it seemed like it a little bit at first, but after a few miles it does well and still hits 50 mph no problem. Also I towed a guy out of the sand dunes for about few miles and it did really well with that. Climbed the rock trail no problem at all as well.
No problem, I have driven my machine all over from mountains, street, trails and sand dunes with these tires. I love them and my buddy with the ranger went with the same brand and loves them as well.

lol more question? i bought the terrabites but the more i'm looking at all the video around on youtube is that everybody has the tread going the opposite way. does it matter which way you run the tread?
If you look at the tire the outside and inside tread angle is in the same direction. It shouldn’t matter which way it will be the same. I just went and checked my machine to make sure. Also this is how Rocky Mountain mounted them for me.

Also I can send you a few pics of the way it’s installed on my machine. Just send me a PM on Facebook.
Deranged Off-Road ...l said light bar but meant to say led light whip...would like to see different sequence
Ok find us on Facebook PM and I’ll send you a vid and my mount setup I designed. It is also on our website.
Great video, and I know it's a little old now, but did you ever run a aftermarket skid plate, and if so what kind?
I never put a skid plate on it and I didn’t do a lot of rock crawling either. 👍
Great videos to follow be sure to subscribe! Videos are full of lots of quality advise and product reviews. These guys don’t sell you on the big $$$ instead they get you on the trail with what works to keep you and your family safe at a reasonable cost! Thanks Guys!
Thanks for the kind words. Getting out on the trail is what we're all about.
@@DerangedOffRoad Thank you, I just ordered them!
Having hard time seeing where you mounted your light bar. Did you mount it to the roof? Or to the side up right of the roll cage? I have a fold-down windshield and want to make sure when I fold up I will have enough room for light bar
It’s mounted on the cage right below the roof. This setup probably won’t work with your windshield. -Garrett
Great video. Just upgraded with 2" lift kit and spacers. Can you give me specifics on tire size front and back? got the 28x10x14 for the front, but didn't catch what you did in the rear. thanks.
Same tire size front and rear 28x10x14 👍
-Garrett
Thanks Garrett. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼
Awesome video
This channel is awesome for us guys that just like to have fun and not spend our life savings on upgrades and compensating for other parts of our lives if you know what i mean. Question though....what are your thoughts on the rear dust screen? I have one currently and the guy i bought my 2016 from said he would never ride with out it. I see you dont have one. Have you tried one and dont like it or whats your thoughts there?
I have not tried one, but have been looking into it and just might pull the trigger on one. -Garrett
@@DerangedOffRoad If you do end up getting one let me know what you think about it and if it is worth having. I've wondered if it affects airflow in the cab at all. Probably doesn't but I'm curious.
Sounds good, maybe a vid is in the future for that. -Garrett
-Garrett

I just watched the other Video and he switch out the OE Rims and went with those sweet Tusk rims, very nice!
My question now is, did he buy rims with the exact same KAWASAKI OEM Rims Offset?
Or did the dealership move him into an offset that is now needed to work with those larger
28" X 10" X 14" Tires?
Kind Regards
GRIZZLY PACK
So our rims we put a 4-3 off set all around which I believe is the same as stock up front, but rears are running something like a 5-2 off set on stock I believe.
Just bought a Terex I’m curious about your half windshield how do you like it does it do well
Overall it has been great and blocks the wind really well. Downside rain will ruin your day 😃 -Garrett
Yeah it would be fine or take them in and get them powder coated. It would hold up way better. 👍 -Garrett
Nice Teryx I have one too I bought a light bar but those brackets didn’t work I was wondering what kind of brackets did you use on yours if you don’t mind sharing that info. Thank you

Yeah a spacer then might do the trick.

Thanks for all your help, love you channel it’s been great
Yes, I ran a lift and 2” spacers and it was a perfect fit for the machine.
Deranged Off-Road yes I know you ran them but will tires run with out lift and spacers?
With those rims I don’t believe so, they will rub in the fender. Mine will rub just a little in full turn.
Yes I had camber as well and it didn’t affect anything. Feel free to send a pic on our Facebook pm 👍. -Garrett
I would like to install a rifle rack in my 2016 Teryx that would give me quick access. What suggestions do you have.

-Garrett

Any cabin heat issues? I just moved to Utah and am shopping for a sxs. Debating on Pioneer 1000-5 and the Teryx 4. Thanks for the video.
My $0.02.
Did you use the light bar wiring harness (that's linked in the description) for your pod lights on the back?
Yes I did and you probably won’t find a harness long enough so you will need to extend the positive and negative wire to the pods. 👍 -Garrett
Ok and did you use the relay and fuse that came with the harness or cut them out and use your relays and fuse box?
I used the relay and cut the fuse out when I put everything on the fuse block.
Awesome thanks!
I have a vid on the fuse box install as well. 👍

I haven’t done much but set the clickers to the softest setting. I plan on removing front sway bar soon. I have heard that helps a lot for the ride. Can I ask what tires you run?
@@DerangedOffRoad just like stock 27 in big horns. Mine is a 2018 t4 in digital camo
@@DerangedOffRoad i am with a lil over 400 miles
-Garrett

Over all for what I was looking for they work great. I would like a little more bass out of the rears and sound so I have purchased a small $40 amp for those two speakers. I will do a follow up video of install and sound when done. With the whole system being around $200 bucks I feel it was a big win for me. The front brackets went on in 15 minutes really easy. The rear took a little time because of drilling the third hole. Some lifts don’t have you drill the hole. 👍
