I'd say another good contender is Dirty Bird's Ambi Lower. Similar to a radian but forged and the right side button is both a bolt stop and bolt lock. If you're located in Texas, I'd be more than happy to meet and bring that lower.
Great video. I recently purchased a Griffin lower. Too bad I didn’t catch this video first. I originally built out an LMT lower for my BCM 14.5 MK2 upper. The BCM‘s beefier forward assist won’t allow the bolt catch to sit correctly. It was in a constant state of bolt lock back. The LMT is a great lower. I moved it over to a Bootleg upper and runs flawlessly.
Being right handed, I really like the ADM and Griffin lowers due to the right side bolt catch/release being a very intuitive to use lever. I have 2 builds that I used the ADM receiver sets on, but in the future I'll switch over to the Griffin. The Griffin is much less expensive than the ADM.
If this is an actual forged blank with the ADM controls milled in, then the only thing keeping this from being the new standard for an ambi lower is on the topic of average QC on the milling. If it wasn't for their handling of the CAMLOK system and it's issues I'd gladly promote it as saving $180 dollars + harden vs soft aluminum is a major win.
Awesome comparison video. I'm a righty but I'm a big ambi fan, just because it makes the AR even easir to manipulate. I have my first AR built using SilencerCo ambi lower and I'd say that's also a sweet choice, but maybe less competible than the Griffin mk2.
