Another great video! I have to share a funny story with you! Throughout my minimalist journey I've always loved the tip of getting rid of unnecessary flat surfaces because they will always collect clutter. I've gotten rid of my end tables in the bedroom and living room and so many other furniture items and flat surfaces and it has made a tremendous difference. Well, my husband blew my mind last week when he found a new flat surface. He put a whiteboard erase marker on the top of a mirror hanging on my living room wall! At first I was mad because why couldn't he put it away! Why would he put it there of all places lol. But then I started laughing and realized I guess I need to declutter my wall decor haha

I come from a developing country. Whatever I declutter goes to a slum in the city. They appreciate even a string so much and utilise everything that reaches them.

I've been using the Orawellness Healthy Blend oil for several years. After a tooth with a dead root needed to be replaced with an implant, the gum had receded and the dentist said there was nothing I could do about it. After using the Healthy Blend for several months THE GUM GREW BACK, and I no longer have a painful, potential situation. Gum disease affects nearly 50% of the population, and if you're over 65, it goes up to 70%. Healthy Blend is a great remedy for getting and keeping your gums strong and healthy! I'd take it out of the "wait and see" bin.

Me too. I'm not quite nearing the end yet but I'm 80%? done in a few spaces. It's incredible. Having way less stuff, having things that are easy to manage, makes life so much easier for me as a disabled person. I didn't get rid of enough stuff to totally get it until maybe a year or two ago, and I was like OHHHHHH! I got rid of difficult kitchen items as well, it's life changing. Then my health got worse and I decided to change out some of my clothes to make the cycle of managing laundry easier. It is so much less stress on me. It's like a miracle

I went to the gum specialist and was told I'd have to have gum surgery etc. I did some research found the healthy mouth blend and started putting two drops on my floss and OMG in just 6 months my gums completely healed. Its been almost 10 years and I am still gum disease free. I would so recommend taking it out of the time will tell bin an using it as part of your dental health regime. I am so excited to see you have this oil...thanks for all you give and share with the community!

Love your videos!! Hate to say it but people could break their stuff following the cord advice. Even if the end or the input of the cord or power cube is the same type of plug, that doesn’t mean they are made to handle the same amount of electricity!! What the power source is rated for is usually written in fine print on the cube you plug in, and same for your device. Too much voltage=fried device. Labeling them when you buy them avoids this for sure! Just don’t guess with older cords and devices just because the input is the same. You may break your item 😭 felt compelled to add that for anyone reading. Thanks for what you do!!

I use HealThy Blend twice a day, and I consider it essential. First, when I get out of bed each morning, I head to the bathroom. I brush my teeth using just HealThy Mouth Blend with a Bass toothbrush (which I consider equally essential because it reaches between my teeth). As a dental hygienist told me years ago about oral bacteria, "We may not be able to kill them, but we can disrupt their colonies." And just recently I read in an NPR article that brushing your teeth immediately on rising, before breakfast, had the benefit of breaking apart the biofilm that is trying to form in the mouth. The biofilm takes 24 hours to form, so a good brushing or flossing that reaches between the teeth every 12 hours will keep the bacteria in check. I also use HealThy Mouth Blend just before I go to bed. I brush using a Sonicare electric toothbrush and a good toothpaste, then use a handheld Waterpik, then brush using a Bass toothbrush and HealThy Mouth Blend, and then floss. My dentist likes the result. (I also don't eat refined sugar.)

I'm a long time viewer, seldom commentor but hi from NZ!!! I know this video is old but I came across it and something you said at the end triggered me to come on here and comment. You're right, it does get so much easier the more you do it. I have been slowly decluttering for the last 5 or 6 years now. I have 2 young children, so lots of time limitations and I now work fulltime again. I have been slowly chipping away, room by room, cupboard by cupboard, drawer by drawer, revisiting many times over, and now it is super easy to keep my home in order. It is amazing how calm my home feels and how I love spending time in it. Over the last two weeks I have been home sick with post viral fatigue. In the moments I feel I have energy I've been making passes through all my rooms, looking for things that don't serve us. With the limited energy I have currently, I've been able to reset my entire home and I have 4 boxes and two bags of items and clothing to donate to our local op shop. I am so grateful to have started this journey 6 years ago because of the positive impact it has had on our whole family now.

Just want to thank you for your “this season of life” mentality ❤ It really transformed my way of thinking and it feels so good to live presently and only store things we will definitely need in the future (as a growing family). For example I recently put away half of our 8 person cutlery set as there is currently only 3 of us! Such a little thing but it’s so nice having our everyday spaces only contain what we actually need 🙂

I've replaced regular toothpaste and mouthwash, and have multiple packs of it as a backup in my bathroom cabinet (because I don't want to run out!). There's always an item to move to its correct home at least, and the odd little thing that has now proved that it has not been put to use in the last few months, so I walk it to my donation bin in my (fairly empty) linen cupboard. The Orawellness Heal They Mouth blend is a must keep! Our family has used it for years: It has healed bleeding gums in a few days, and any bad smells when using floss are sorted. Amazing stuff! A drop or two on a toothbrush or floss is all you need.

Dawn! Don't pitch the OraWellness Healthy Mouth Blend! At least until you learn what a powerhouse you have, in that little bottle. It is NOT just for oil pulling - in fact, I've never used it for that, or heard of it being used for that. I'm adding OraWellness oil pulling to my regimen. Thanks! I've been using the product for years. It replaces (i.e. declutters) my toothpaste, my mouthwash and I use it to apply straight to a wound or sore area, so I've ditched my "triple antibiotic ointment" too. We call it "snake oil" in my house, as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that we use it for everything! I've cleared up skin infections and cuticle infections with that stuff. If, after all this, you decide to pitch it anyway, send it to ME!!

I know this video is a bit old but I wanted to comment abuot the OraWellness oil. It's the only product I use use for brushing my teeth. I don't use any other toothpaste or powder. I also will sometimes use a drop when oil pulling. I have been using it for my foothpaste for over 5 years and when I go in for a cleaning I have very little tartar which wasn't the case prior to using it.

Today I finally put all my "donate" stuff in a bag in the garage instead of having it sit all over my tables after nobody wanted it from our Buy Nothing Group 🙃 I also recycled some packaging and old jars I haven't found a use for yet thats been just sitting around for some reason. The hand cream you decluttered made think of a tip for items stored in drawers (where we are looking down at tops), I label the lid. For vitamins, I write with felt pen on the lids (Vit D, etc.) For spices, that I have in a basket that I pull down from an overhead cupboard, I use my Dymo labeller and labelled the lid with each herb/spice name.

I realize it is her stuff and I don’t have the right to ask her to get rid of anything, but at the same time it would be so nice to work on it together while she’s able to make decisions rather than it being something forced on her should she reach a point of no longer being independent and not being able to keep an entire houseful of things…. Any advice?

@@grumbledjo It's a difficult question that Dawn is probably better equipped to answer than myself.
If your Mom makes any effort towards decluttering, encourage her.
Offer to take things to the charity shop for her or even take photos to sell things online so she can use the money on an experience you would enjoy together.

The “time will tell” bin has been life changing. It is not only telling but it’s very freeing without the guilt. ok.... please put back in the HealThy Mouth Blend! That is SUCH great oil! You don't have to oil pull with it. You can just put it on your gums after brushing to keep them nice and healthy. I absolutely love this stuff and I use their shine too. You can add that into your drawer. It doesn't have glycerine (which coats the teeth) and is helpful to get them whiter and stronger from my experience. I can't imagine not having their products. Anyway, great video, just add back that oil, lol. Your mouth will thank you.

Heal Thy Mouth blend is so awesome! Don’t forget about it!! Once you get into the habit, you won’t go back. I use it as a mouth wash, adding one or two drops in my rinse cup, and my teeth do not get that furry feeling later in the day, leaving my mouth feeling cleaner for longer. I have used this instead of toothpaste too, and put a drop or two on my toothbrush. And when I have had the occasional gum abscess…this is a god send- I just put a drop on my finger and run my dental floss through it. Then I floss in the area and my abscess heals so much quicker! I also rub what little oil is left on my finger into the affected gum area. This stuff is liquid gold, and I swear by it! Will never go back to regular mouth washes etc since my mouth health in general is so much better with Health Thy Mouth, saving me money at the dentist.

If I only had inventory I had intentionally chosen, it would work better for the space, serve the intended purpose, and bring me more joy. I could be wrong but I think 90% of what I personally need to declutter is “I’m moving, will you take this?” stuff that has unfortunately stayed and stuck even though I never actually wanted it.
