about furia academy, in 2021 a 14yo player appeared in Brazil called "snow" everyone was saying that he was good to his age, Furia academy completely ignored him for years, and now he's destroying in SA and is about to join Pain Gaming. XD
See the Furia's roster historic. They used to kick good player, that will play better in other team like drop, hen1, saffee. And it happens too in academy, like decenty (Imperial), Kauez (Pain) and others. Furia simple ignore good players or destroys them performnce. Now playing in Furia probably become a nightmare for some pro players, no matter how much money they won playing for Furia.
Actually fun fact: smooya speaks basic russian which can be used in cs. He spoke it a lot during his streams when he was chatting with Russian-speaking fans. Idk if they actually speak russian or english on the tournament but still.
based on the comm between rounds from the last 2 days it seems like they just went back to speaking russian like 7 rounds into the first map and only use english when calling strats
Hey Hawka been loving these videos, I just wanna mention that on windows you can CTRL + TAB to switch to the next tab on your browser a bit quicker and press F to fullscreen as well. I use chrome so maybe the binds are chrome-specific, but maybe it'll make the switching a bit faster if that's something you're looking into
Furia really need to fully rebuild. yuurih and KSCERATO are good players, keep them, get a EU coach from Portugal and get young talents. Honestly getting some KOI or SAW players would help their style and game a lot
They threw Art under the bus, but Guerri, the worst coach in Brazil, got a promotion. Fallen now the igl with 2016 strats and average awping. Chelo is super arrogant and disrespectful, even without a single trophie in his career. Yurihh playing horribly for almost two years. Kscerato happy playing late lurker and not having any real impact, even though he's supposed to be a top20 player.
Great video! most of the brazilian fans agree with you, furia (as an org and as a team) has been completely apathetic and disappointing in the last few years, yesterday during this game gaules was so flabbergasted that there came a point where he was just making fun of the stupid plays furia made. This problem with the academy team is real, they never really knew how to manage young players, I'm still hoping that this will change now that they've announced that they're going to have a 100% European academy line-up, maybe this will open their eyes, because it's insane how many good opportunities they've missed in recent years because they didn't want to change the team.
Great video, Hawka! Nice round analysis on the map As someone that has cheered for this team as the only potential source of wins at the highest level for quite some time, it's incredible to see the amount of mismanagement that's been done. I think the team now needs a nuke and a rebuild from scratch, but that's not going to happen because Fallen has still one year left on his contract. I never liked arT at all. His playstyle and calling were highly inconsistant and, as a result, the team could never take the next step. You'd always see Furia get a semifinal and at least a good playoff appearence in one semester (see 2 Pro League seasons, IEM Dallas, Rio Major and IEM Rio + Stockholm and Antwerp majors) and play horribly for the rest of the semester (Katowice and Cologne are always horrible). I supported a lot a change of IGLing because maybe a different system could be less volatile and use the good weapons in a better way. The Fallen signing was completely wrong from the start. A lot of people were just went crazy because of Fallen's legend and the fact that he'd play on the country's best team, so he'd have the best chances to succeed but that was completely marketing. Fallen's style was the complete opposite of Furia's. Ditching the awper and the support player once again and hope for a different result was nuts. Even tougher considering that Fallen didn't suit the team and Chelo would have to play out of position. Saffee was Brazil's best awper while he was on Pain, went to Furia and never had the same impact. This reminds me of how siuhy made torszi great again when he came back to Mouz. Drop wasn't your star player and people really talked shit about him because he didn't put up numbers, however he played the support role brilliantly while he was there (and let's remember that he came from the Academy roster). Results: the team has leadership issues, yuurih is far from himself, the Awp play is average at best and chelo is sacrificed out of position while Saffee and Drop go on to have a comeback with MIBR (but let's not forget their constant issues in RMRs). So you don't let arT go when you had the choice, made wrong roster moves and now, to get EVEN WORSE, you ditch arT way before the player break when you can't get a new player. Even if arT was the real issue, man this timing and the result of the changes only made the outcome worse. Now you get no 5th player, a team with no identity and a style that doesn't work anymore. And we have to hope that kye's mental isn't destroyed with this crap of a move because there's simply no way how you can play well with less than a week of practice
Hello Hawka, great video you did! As a brazilian, I totally agree with you, Furia has been decreasing their level in massive level... What most upset to me is not even in-game, it's outside! The players seem to don't care about winning games, Kscerato was kinda smiling after this 0-13, I can't even figure out how bad this is for the people who cheer for them... This momentum they had been made some others brazilian teams took Furia's position on the top 1-2 from Brazil, which is great. I hope they can get better, but it's not the time for just accept all of this massive low level games, even with a new player.
hey, hawka, here is an brazilian fan, thank you for the explanation for te world about de fúria’s situation, it’s so awful and the entire of brazil are sad to
As a brazilian i was always saying: the coach needs to leave...they got good players but poor tatic. And the IGL(Fallen) needs to be reworked...the proof its that generally the player that leaves furia performs better after........
I am Brazilian and have been supporting FURIA for the past few years and you were very precise on your comments and thoughts. Pretty good content, well done!
Furia is shit because of a shit tactical structure. With Fallen on the team and apparently growing roots in the ADM of the org, the team is kinda doomed. Fallen is the most important player of Brazilian CS and because of that he will always be listened to, his voice is always authoritative. Fallen's furia is having all the problems all Fallen's teams had since SK. Art (which is too strategically limited) had another, diametrically opposite, perspective that helped counterbalance Fallen (or fallen helped counterbalance arT?). Apparently, given the last streams/interviews, guerri never was particularly helpful on the tactical side. Now with arT gone, guerri further up on the adm chain and fallen as solo IGL, Fallen+guerri+CEO are gonna choose a yes-man coach that will ultimately side with Fallens main (and surpassed) perspective on the game offering little core chance on gameplay. Or, if not, the coach will last little on the org. It makes little to no difference who is gonna be the 5th player with the tactical side that is so insubstantial. They could bring s1mple on steroids and they would maybe win against lesser structured teams because of raw firepower, but they still would fall short when facing T1 teams. Hawka's commentary bothers me a bit because it is kinda shallow. The root problem with the team is not the 5th player. The problem with the team is not the org having poor decisions regarding their academy rooster, though obviously, it doesn't help open up solutions for solving the problem. The problem with the team is not buyouts, contracts or other business-related issues. The problem with the team is the team. Since they already -art and - guerri, the solution now is bringing an anti-fallen coach somebody with a completely different perspective on the game and bold enough to force the Professor to be a student again, or at least to force him to speak among peers and not subordinates. Then they could still reach playoffs even with a meh 5th, like kye. Only then the problem could be the 5th player, the player market, buyouts etc...
i'm gonna defend furia ACADEMY, they have done a great job developing talent on the region, the ranking of the team is heavily skewed due to playing in SA, which grants much less points than playing in europe (even more in t2), they have been by far the best academy project on SA and the oldest if i remember correctly. THE PROBLEM IS the main team! They don't have the timing to pick up these talents and when they do they just THROW THEM IN TERRIBLE POSITIONS. They picked DROP on a terrible timing (art said he didn't want drop on the team because he didn't match the positions needed, and guerri kept him anyway, kicking vini); in other moments, they preferred to keep the team or buy other players rather than using the academy and of course those players will leave to play at the top level as soon as they can. TL;DR: Furia academy is OK, the problem is the MAIN TEAM MANAGEMENT, and that is why guerri should have left a long time ago
The problem with Furia is they grew very arrogant, they were for a long time "the best Brazilian team". they think "their way" is the best way and they don't give a shit about what other analists, professionals of even the fans have to say about the team. They barely speak with their audience anymore and when they do it is to promote some kind of new shirt or merch.
i swear yuurih hasnt been good in like 2 years now, wtf happened man used to be considered the 2nd star of the team next to kscerato now he just looks average asf
