Trust from his teammates through the reputation he has achieved. I think all of them believe on his calls while having the comfort to do what they're better-best at.
Something I hear a lot from IGLs is that the more you think normally, the less being an IGL tanks your stats. The guys that tank stats after swapping to IGL usually spend a lot more time thinking than usual. Guys like niko blameF and device just thinking enough normally to be an IGL since it takes nothing away from their game. Device is just built different, always thinking at an IGL level, even when he awps. He said he helped second call with glaive in the past, the IGL transition was probably inevitable
He wasn't only a second caller but they were the first team to start anti-strating when it wasn't a thing back in 2016. His pre-game preparation has been so thorough and he was watching demos of other teams to know how their AWPers liked to play
@@IDewWork watching demos of teams or players and working out how to counter their strats/moves. Like in the Liquid Vs Astralis QF game at pro league there's that round on Inferno where dev1ce knows Liquid is going to blow open the smoke and he shoots the guy standing in the smoke immediately they nade it. He used to do that with other AWPers as well back in the day
But doubting dev1ce is nasty business and people misunderstood his tweet during the RMR. He's also said that part of the reason he wasn't happy is because he felt he wasn't playing to his ability. BlameF's calling limited him and everyone else in the team
Device I think is also lucky to have teammates willing to support/trade frag consistently and are themselves competent. The problem I saw with blamef was every round was a default. No decision making. Either rush or default.
Is this my sign to ego my way into AWP IGL?
Yes. But only if you punch your monitor every two hours. Thats really important.
If you have 4x major titles, consistently top 10 HLTV and was a second-caller to previously karrigan and gla1ve, yeah maybe
Tom Cruise cannot keep getting away with this.. Mission Impossible was a success
Trust from his teammates through the reputation he has achieved. I think all of them believe on his calls while having the comfort to do what they're better-best at.
i think the awp igl is working because stavn and jabbi are already used to having an awp igl when they were on heroic
I feel like Staehr have also really stepped up
Before blameF was kicked he was actually the only one performing well. Always had roles that fit him
@@hognigk96 When he first joined he wasn't doing that well, but he's been rock solid in 2024
@@morten3093true , but you shouldnt expect a kid to perform well from the start
Device: "Nah, I'm different"

And a lot less jarring

@@elizabethmurigi1131 What does anti-strating mean? Just asking

@@elizabethmurigi1131 Thank you
I think it just matters of his new prespective and fresh determination. Device is just more enthusiastic to prove himself and Astralis
FalleN was igl awper like 10 years ago
The same way nitr0 lead Liquid
Hawka please keep the content coming i will listen to you talk about anything cs related
HONESTLY
It's almost like Fallen did it 8 years ago.
But doubting dev1ce is nasty business and people misunderstood his tweet during the RMR. He's also said that part of the reason he wasn't happy is because he felt he wasn't playing to his ability. BlameF's calling limited him and everyone else in the team
it's working because device is a high IQ individual
Cadian?
Device will never be Fallen

What would be hilarious is if device as an awping igl goes on to win 1-2 majors like fallen did in 2016.
44 seconds ago? My guy fell off😢
It's working because blameF was just that bad, this Astralis team is just that stacked with talent, and dev1ce is basically the GOAT.
2mins 10 views wow you fell of smh
