I get a lot of people that mess with the head setting and air on the Reillo and have no clue about them. Then call them junk. I think there the best burner out there. You should do a shelll head and n head training vid too cus people have no idea what to do with those clockwise and counter clockwise motors.
steve nice set up. 10 years ago I took the Riello certification exam. I still remember the Riello rep explaining why its better then other. he used to say it fires clean runs clean and shuts off clean. LOL THE RIELLOS ARE A GREAT BURNERS
@@stevenlavimoniere how things change from country to country!!! Here in Europe the riello is the most easy to work on!!!! The giersch brand elco brand are a litle dificult!!!
The biggest problem with RIELLO is too many hands in the pot. If they are set up correctly and not in a high vacuum situation they are clean and efficient. I have pinzottis with mectrons still kicking 85% 20 years later.
The most reliable burner ever build by riello! Without the stupid hydraulic piston assy that opens the air gate. The newer riello with the plastic cover and the black side placed computer is not that good. Anyway i found your videos three days ago and i wanted to say something🤣 Have a nice day and as the say in my country a profitable day!
I grow up with oil heat and HAD to fix them when it would not work!! And fix/worked on them for friends.. Now I don’t see to many of them around anymore BUT at work we have Hot Boxes that do road patch work and they use the same things only big change is there 12 volte DC .. So I still work on them a little
Steve new subscriber I have a Riello burner and I'm wondering the difference between the heating side and the domestic hot water producing side and if they are different sections of the burner assembly? Do you have a video description of the internal workings of a burner? Thank you and Happy New Year Artie ❤️️
hey steve where to buy a bleeder valve for the riello burner? I'm Thinking about converting mine over to natural gas !!! Is that a good or bad thing... I have a eight zone set up and on a fixed income... I value your opinion on this and like your in put...and i have have a Crown boiler box with a water holding tank...
Daniel Cloutier the bleader for the burner is on the oil pump .. if its a one pipe system you have to bleed the air out for it to fire up ..i gas converion might save you some money over time ..
You might have already answered this but what oil furnace do you like the best? These videos have been good for me. I can read all about these things but I'm the type I need to see it and this has helped me for sure. I kinda wish I could run across one so I could put my hands on it. lol
i like a oil furnace that is easy to clean if it soots up ruud/rheam is not it.as long as if it soots up you can have axess to heat exchanger to vacuum out i am good with them. ruud has a small tube like heat exchanger up in top of unit never been a fan of them, the old style round heat exchangers are fin if there are cleanout doors on sides.i have a abaper that is on the end of my soot vac.like a snake that is made to slide in there to vac out furnaces i use it all the time in my videos with the vac its always on the vacuum
Yea I've seen your other videos when you're cleaning them out. I thought it was funny in the one video when you said I'm thinking on doing this series, man you didn't was any time. lol You have been knocking them out!!! Thanks for doing this. You have spent a lot of your time doing this. I've tried to do a few videos myself and yall make it look easy. lol
Would you consider adjustment of the electrodes, the most likely culprit of a Riello taking five to seven ignition attempts before a sustained continuous burn ( even if fuel pressure and photocell are fully functional and within spec) ?
Hi Dude. Messaged last year re a faulty Riello. Got a service guy out he said Faulty RDB oil pump. Replaced and so far so good untilcrap went through and bingo same issue it seems. Despite cleaning pump filter and purging pretty much whole system seems the thing wont start/fire. Pressure down to 25 psi and service guy said should be 50psi so oil and ignition wont talk to each other? Is pump failure common on riello think its a 40 series 1.
Hi Steve, I’m working on a Riello F5. It won’t sequence out of Pre purge. I’ve followed the check list with no result. Should I just condemn the control box? That seems like a catch all for any ignition problem. I’m uneasy condemning the control box.
John Boyko sorry my videos are not for beginers there more for people that are in the trade and have some clue whats going on . if you watch more videos you might catch on .
Hi Dude. Right I have a riello series 3 or 4. problem it initially fires and then knocks itself off after a few secs and wont refire. I cleaned all flue out and tried to clean burner nozzle but no joy. any tips
PROTO USA TOOLS makes a great 12point 12mm flare nut wrench for those riello nozzle lines & a 7x8mm 12point flare nut wrench for the airgate jack cap tubes .... the right tools for the job saves mad headach's

Parabéns pelo vídeo, apesar de eu visualizar em 2020 está muito atual com os equipamentos de hoje em dia.
This is going to be a very informative series. not many guys know how to work on Riellos properly, glad this is out there.
3:38 so cool to see the nozzle spray, coil spark, and ignition from that unobstructed angle.

Awesome series keep them coming please very informative for a guy on the west coast
Christopher Rendon i might do more with the riello burner
Sounds great I'm subsribed
I noticed you gingerly snug the two side screws. This indicates experience with anyone that has worked on Riello burners, to me anyways.
Great
Nice to see it work up close
Steve, I like the Hot Rod coupe with the flames on the side. Did you build it? By the looks of your shop that a yes.

I get a rattling sound after the purge when the oil solenoid opens. Any ideas?
to continually run the riello oil pump, jump electrical connections 5 and 6. got it. thanks. 1:50

Right Choice HVAC i think i might have loaded to many at one time ..o well live and learn
That is pretty cool how oil fired boilers work.
Which is your favorite burner?
dklucas1 beckett afg i work on the most ,in my area
You should do a video with different nozzle sizes, angles, and spray patterns, eg. 0.75, 0.85, 60°, 45°, 70°, 80°, A, B, W, SS, AR-D, MH, etc.
Steve is that your shop. love the cars in the backround
Emin HVAC my shop is my truck ,but this is my garage

Pumps are good.Never replaced one in 20 years.

It would help if you described what your doing,,,,,not much audio
John Boyko sorry my videos are not for beginers there more for people that are in the trade and have some clue whats going on . if you watch more videos you might catch on .
I had one no heat call where the tech removed the combustion head instead of the nozzle and line
He put it the wrong way and the would not start.
yea but is it necessary for the tiger loop ? especially if the oil tank is about 10 yards away

Are most these burners two stage?
+MIKE CHIESA yes they ramp up at start up oil pressure will be like 85 at first ,then jump up to 160
