1st time i Done a ribeye steak I fried it both sides for a bit and then put it into the crockpot as you call it. We call it slow cooker in the UK anyway I left it in slow cooking and when I took it out it was just falling apart and just melted in my mouth. It was absolutely beautiful😊
they're called slow cookers here as well. crockpot was just the most prominent brand of slowcookers, so they became synonymous here. There are many products like that. I'm sure the UK has its own products where a specific brand was so popular it kind of replaced the actual name for something.
Thank You for this!!!!! I make footballs Every time I try to cook a Ribeye.... and im Trying to do "CARNIVORE" so this is a Game changer and is going to help me Big time😁💯 Cant wait to try it😋
I got some tough as hell boneless ribeye steaks at Sam's club. I am glad I found your channel. I will definitely be using my slow cooker to make the steaks tender and actually edible. Thank you
My husband generally cooks most of the meals. He likes the details. I'm the lazy one who doesn't want to spend the time on cooking. This would be an excellent surprise for him and easy for me. Heck, I'll even throw in the mushrooms and onions. Thanks for the video!
I normally don’t eat ribeyes because I’m not a huge fat guy. I normally like my steaks medium. This recipe is amazing. I just did it. It’s like a perfect mix between a steak and pot roast. I’m planning on using this recipe for the rest of my life!
Never would have thought of a ribeye in a crockpot. As you mentioned they cut is best on a grill or ordered at a restaurant. For a crockpot I found cube steak is the best option. There are many options but a simple option is too simply add cube steak to the crock pot and cover it in chicken bone broth or chicken stock. Throw in some tiny potatoes if you want and slow cook. It will come out so tasty, tender, and moist at a fraction of the cost of a ribeye.
Yeah cube steak works great! Chuck is probably my favorite cut of beef for the crockpot. I always like to add cut onions when slow cooking. They contain enzymes that help break down and tenderize meat proteins.
This could be the best alternative for sou vide since slow cooking also preserves the flavor inside while cooking and for finale you can just torch the top for a little crisp!❤
As a KetoVore dieter now going on 18months, I prefer this way over BBQ in most cases as I drink the left over broth as a side soup while eating so I get all the cologen in the water afterwards too.
this is not for everybody but my dad will absolutely do no pink. because of this the only steak hes ever enjoyed is cheap cuts roasted. thanks for showing how to do a nicer cut! looks really good.
Please do make that video with the chuck eye roast. Today I made the ribeye like you said and it is perfect. I will eat it for lunch tomorrow. I am trying to become a carnivore like Jordan Peterson and his daughter Mikhaila Peterson, but need to learn how to cook. Thank you.
So is the onion the secret tenderizer? Every time I try cooking without water in my crock pot the meat dries out so bad. Is this because of the one two combo with high and then low heat?
A strip loin wouldn't be as tender and is a better candidate for shorter cook times. You could slow cook one for 2 to 3 hours and sear it quickly in the pan after. It will be more tender if is cooked medium rare. 130 - 140 degrees
I doing this for my next ribeye. For the life of me I can never get my steaks right in a pan. Always either under or over cooked. Almost always tough. I'd think the slow cooking would also break down the fat much better so that's edible also. Tire of having to spit out big hunks of fat cause it can't be chewed up.
Slow cooking is an excellent way to break down collagen and other connective tissues, resulting in tender easy to eat meat. Ribeye or chuck steaks are good candidates 👍. Good luck! Let us know how it works for you!
Me too - I thought "I wanna make a couple rib eyes in the iron skillet but don't want all the "splatter" all over the stove, I wonder if I can sear them in the skillet then finish them in the crockpot" ---- so here I am!
If you don't want well done you can sous vide it in the crock pot then dry it and give it a quick sear.. I'd argue that if you're going to cook a steak in a crock pot that would net the best result.
Agreed! Personally I think a ribeye or any naturally tender piece does not need to be cooked in a crock pot. Check out our video on crock pot sous-vide! We use chuck eye steak and sear, then compare it to a steak cooked only on the cast iron.
It isn't a very good ribeye if it doesn't have fat 😉. But, the onions should keep it plenty juicy, but you could add a little bit of water or beef broth if you would like.
If it's slow cooked it will be very tender. But I also prefer my steaks medium rare on the grill. This video is simply one way to cook them that some people may prefer.
It is well done. But very tender. I prefer medium rare on the grill. But it's a good way for someone who likes well done steak and doesn't have time. This recipe is really good for cheaper Chuck roasts too!
How can you cook steak medium-rare in a crackpot or slow cooker? (crackpost and slow cooker are the same, correct?) For some reason I don't like well-done steak; there has to be pink inside.
You can achieve medium - medium rare with a larger cut such as a roast of you cook on high until it reaches 135-145 degrees. But a slow cooker is not ideal for achieving that beautiful pink.

Going to cook in my crockpot for the first time and I’m going to try your recipe. Thank you.
I'm Honored! Hope you love your crockpot!
For tough cuts like NY Strip, this would probably work great. Definitely something different, very nicely done :)
Thats awesome!! I didn't think it'd turn out as juicy. I'm definitely gonna try that out!
So tender! Let us know how it goes! 😎
I made this today. Amazing, Thanks for this video! ♥
I’m fool enough to do it. I’ll take this recipe 👍 wow that’s tender! ❤ Great recipe thank you!!

Thanks for that, just what I needed to know ! And it was a nice short and concise vid !
Thank you for watching! So glad you found it helpful! 😊
OMG I actually do that! I don't like any pink in my steak! This actually makes it was more tender than the grill!!! TRY IT!
Works great with Chuck steak!

I gotta try this.
You're so beautifully authentic, communicative, and adorable with the "..some mushrooms" ;) Thank you much!
Thank you 🙏
It's just look cooking a pot roast. I'll try this one day.
Making this today. So easy!!
I'll be trying that later today. Cheers. 🥩
Cheers!
Oh wow, you just gave me an idea!! 💡 II will try to cook it in the crockpot for 1-2 hours for tenderness then slap it on the grille!!! Thanks!!!
Yes! The sear would be great!
@@bakesfoods yes sir!! Thanks again!!!
Thanks for watching!
Just when I thought ribeye couldn't get anymore tender 🤤🤤🤤
Oh it's tender!

Looks so tender and juicy!
This is interesting. This may be the prequel to smothered steak lol.
🤫
Worked out really good thank you but❤
Awesome!
Great recipe. No need to apologize!
Just what I was looking for 👀🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤💯
Though I prefer my steak medium rare, that looks like it would be great. I will try it with one that has poor marbling.
looks good and tender. i guess u can try from frozen too
Frozen would work too!
Yes this is beautiful yummm
Im doing carnivore and this helps ALOT...THANK YOU 🎉
No Problem! Thank you for watching!
This is a good method for shredded steak tacos

Thank you . We are not fans of pink in our steak so your recipe works for us.

It was good. I tried it. But not much differential a beef roast. Better than grilling on a cold day I guess
Hi,
Cooking from high then to low in a crock pot? Thank you i never knew that
I don't know... I like my steak medium rare. But I'm sure it tastes good.
Make a gravy with the juices!!
Im not a fan of killing a ribeye but that looks delicious!
🤣
this is not for everybody but my dad will absolutely do no pink. because of this the only steak hes ever enjoyed is cheap cuts roasted. thanks for showing how to do a nicer cut! looks really good.

Would do a chuck eye roast in the crockpot? Thank you.
That would be amazing. I'll have to make a video on that 😎

I put beef stock in with mine, but it’s impossible to pull it out in one piece, just falls apart
So tender!
If you don't like it well done could you cook it for only one hr on high instead of 2 hrs?
Yes you could reduce the cook time. Or just cook it on the stove or grill for medium rare.
So is the onion the secret tenderizer? Every time I try cooking without water in my crock pot the meat dries out so bad. Is this because of the one two combo with high and then low heat?
The onions add enough juice combined with the fat from the ribeye. Just a steak in high will dry out. You could also use a thicker cut off steak.
Would you do this for striploin?
A strip loin wouldn't be as tender and is a better candidate for shorter cook times. You could slow cook one for 2 to 3 hours and sear it quickly in the pan after. It will be more tender if is cooked medium rare. 130 - 140 degrees

Groovy 😊
This would be a really good method if you plan on pulling the steak apart for topping on a pizza, sandwich, poutine. It falls apart so effortlessly
How about skirt steak in the slow cooker? Time?
Haven't tried it my self, but it should be about the same. Maybe a little longer cook time.
I wanted a steak, but all I have is a crockpot. Thought I was crazy googling if this was possible. 😂
Haha, you're not crazy 😎👍
Me too lol
Me too - I thought "I wanna make a couple rib eyes in the iron skillet but don't want all the "splatter" all over the stove, I wonder if I can sear them in the skillet then finish them in the crockpot" ---- so here I am!
Crock Pot is good for slow cooking cheap cuts of steak
I'm sure it's pretty good, but I like my steak medium rare
If you don't want well done you can sous vide it in the crock pot then dry it and give it a quick sear.. I'd argue that if you're going to cook a steak in a crock pot that would net the best result.

What if it has no fat?
It isn't a very good ribeye if it doesn't have fat 😉. But, the onions should keep it plenty juicy, but you could add a little bit of water or beef broth if you would like.
You can do the same thing to a chuck or round steak for half the price.
Absolutely correct. Chuck is a great crock pot cut.
what if you added butter and garlic so it mixes with the fat it's cooking in ? Good or bad idea?
That's a wonderful idea!
Hot damn you're a genius
Check it out!
For your health!
Why?
Do it on the grill!
I like my steaks bairly cooked. I can't eat them if they're cooked all the way through.
If it's slow cooked it will be very tender. But I also prefer my steaks medium rare on the grill. This video is simply one way to cook them that some people may prefer.
It is if you wear dentures😉
I like my steak well done
put that on a burger bun with all the trimmings...
🤤
My left ear heard everything you said.
Sorry! Upgrading equipment soon! 😎👍

Ribeye gravy? 😍🤤
I love steak like that but this one looked like it had too much fat on it. Any more steaks like this are too expensive for me.
You are right! Beef is getting so expensive. But fat is the best part!
Sorry tried it on two steaks and not tender like you show. Followed recipe exactly.
Chopped sandwiches
On it…
Slip it under the broiler a minute on each side maybe?
That would give it some nice texture yes!
