Easy Dump and Go Slow Cooker Tater Tot Hotdish / Casserole

We show you how to make Tater tot Hotdish or Casserole in a Slow cooker. This is Easy Recipe is Delicious and Customizable!
Ingredients:
1 lb Ground Beef (or Protein of choice)
1 Onion
1 Family size Can Cream of Mushroom, Chicken or Celery
1-2 Cups of Shredded Chedder Cheese
2-3 Cups Frozen Vegetables
Salt, Pepper, Italian Seasoning, 1-2 tbsp. Garlic Powder
Layer the Top with Tater tots
- Brown Beef and Diced Onion in Pan
- Mix all ingredients in slow cooker except the Cheese and Tater Tots
- Add 1-2 cups of cheese on top
- Layer Tater Tots in a single layer on Top
- Slow cook on high for 3 hours

This looks really tasty on a cold night. You mentioned it's a little more mushy than you'd like, how would you fix that? Less cheese or less soup maybe?
Wonderful comfort food! For really Crispy tots you would need to bake or fry them and add them towards the end. Reducing the moisture you put, or releasing the steam periodically would also help to keep them more firm. But I think it's great either way!
I think he used too much soup. When I was a kid my mom made this exact same dish in the oven so it only cooked for like half an hour and the tots were crispy on top and kind of soft on the bottom. When it was on my plate I'd squirt it with ketchup. mmm mmm
You can use the same ingredients and bake it uncovered in the oven instead for crispy tots.
Wait... you said cup of salt per gallon???? but then you did 1.5 cups of salt for 3 gallons of water?? Which is it? 😑
You're right! Sorry about that! I cut out the part where I said I like to do half of what they recommend!. The recommended amount is 1 cup per gallon. But I think it's way too salty. So I like to use .5 cup per gallon! Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

As a KetoVore dieter now going on 18months, I prefer this way over BBQ in most cases as I drink the left over broth as a side soup while eating so I get all the cologen in the water afterwards too.

Great instruction my friend. It can seem intimidating the first couple of times times. Once you understand how cast iron temps it is fairly easy. With that said... DO NOT COOK WITH WINE over open flame!!!! FLAMES BIG FLAMES 😜🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

So i see you maid a fair amount. The other thing that is real cool about jerky is, you can FedEx it over night to your crippled friends that are not capable of doing it them self ATM. You just wrap it up, throw it in a box put a stamp on it. You make a friend happy. 🥰

when I was a kid there was a beer joint near our house that cooked pork ribs on a natural gas vertical rotisserie, man those were good.
Ì like the idea but....why the steps, wldnt do this meat...is that all the sous methods do?
The idea of sous-vide is to slow Cook the meat inside a small sealed container to trap all the juices, not losing any. It's not my go-to method, But a Crock-Pot does work for sous-vide 👍

I bought 2 rib eye steaks from our local butcher cut off the same piece of meat. Cooked the first in butter and it was like shoe leather. I followed your method with the second and it was like cutting through butter. Not surprised I crock pot all red meats and have done for many years. It is a miracle machine I do believe I could cook the soles off my shoes in it and they would be delicious and tender.
