What's the secret of jumping with that kind of amazing stretch of legs? I can balance well with my left outside edge and I can bend my knees, but my waltz jumps are nowhere as big as yours. Does the difference involve engaging a certain muscle group during the swing of the free leg? Upper body coordination with the legs? Pelvis orientation? Timing of shifting the weight to the left toe pick? Or what?
It’s a combination of things, strength build in the posterior chain and good timing from years of practice. Also courage from throwing myself into the air a lot to trust that I can go for it that much and be ok 👍🏼
Thanks! Super helpful!
