People I speak with say that the motor or engine if you will, isn't good and should be replaced with a GM LS Corvette engine! I say, if you maintain the motor and avoid excessive acceleration and learn to shift properly, these engines are excellent and run great! It is the detractors who beat on their cars and redline their engines on a regular basis and avoid oil changes, then yeah, those people will grumble and says the Jaguar motors and electronics are crap! But the same people could own Toyotas or Hondas and say the same thing! In short, it's how you maintain and drive a car, also how a car is stored that impacts a vehicles lifespan and reliability!

I happened to buy my first Jaguar this year - being an XK8 03' coupe in midnight black. As you say, an immaculate & stunning car even to this day.
Those were better times for Jaguar! The XK8 Coupé and Convertible will always be classics!

I have a 2002 xk8 convertible. The window motor is now obsolete so I’ll have to buy another car for extra parts I guess. Lord save us all.
I'm sure it can be fixed in some MacGyver way.

Pity a Canadian can't pronounce Jaguar properly instead of like an American. All that aside, it is a beautiful car.
