Episodes 1-5 werent a flash back. Rather, the animators werent told whether there will be a season 2, so they wanted to end season one on a wholesome note, thus they skipped some content. Once they knew there would be a season tow, this meant that the story line will be some what chaotic.... So for the beginning of season two, they went back in time. Basically, episodes 1-5 is just content that was missed.
THIS IS NOT SPOILER. Mods, Look at it!!!! There is a very obvious, but often overlooked sequence of events in this anime. It takes multiple rewatches to notice it (for real time followers), so make of it what you will. Shizu gets summoned to the Tensura world -> She becomes the disciple of the Hero -> Shizu receives the Hero's mask -> Black mentions something about time and infinity about the maks -> Rimuru receives the mask -> Chloe gets inhabited by a Spirit that resembles the hero -> Rimuru gives Chloe the maks. (...) The (...) is an important part of this of course, but just judging by what happened in the anime THUS FAR, there is a clear picture being painted. Though it takes most people a few rewatches, cause there is quite a bit of time between episodes/seasons which causes details to be easily forgotten. Edit: Honestly, its impressive how you put the info together. Though its only been a few weeks between episodes for you, i can say with confidence that few people I know (personally and through youtube) managed to put this timeline together, even though they often took less time than you to watch the series. Hats off to you. (Though I'd appreciate it if you would rewind the time you spent on chat (+5 seconds) so you don't miss anything.) Love your reactions btw :D
More than that, their bodies are made of magicules (how all unintelligent monsters are born, magicules condensing and forming a body/will vs intelligent monsters that are born from a monster but the magicules from the parents are used to form the baby), the barrier over the town disrupts those magicules
Chloe crying and hugging Rimuru, representing how we feeling after these episodes. Humans are @ssholes no matter the world. Period. The reason why the magic barriers don't affect humans as much as monsters is because monsters are mostly made of magicules, whereas humans aren't.
A barier is a barier. for example if I create an Bob barrier, it's effects will work only on Bob. That makes someone with powerfull and specific barriers really dangerous.
Honestly the biggest tone shift ever! The emotional ride 😭🫠 So the barrier put up was anti magic along with the barrier Mjurran put up weakened all monsters which gave these other worlders the edge as it nerfed our favorite characters
Sorry if it's been explained down bellow by someone else. Reason why the monsters are weak and the humans aren't is that the barrier that is over the town (and Rimuru) disrupts magicules, monsters are made up of magicules, its the building blocks of their bodies.
As the commenter named maxwts, the anime "So I'm a Spider, So What?" really had a confusing timeline I remember having to read the comments and someone explained that there were two timelines and they slowly merged, kind of like what they did in Netflix series The Witcher, but more confusing Someone who read the light novels had to explain what happened and where we are in the timeline(s) and just wtf is going on
If I understood this correctly about humans and monster (even after reading the LN I'm not sure I understood it 100%) monsters use mostly (but not 100%) external magicules (magicules that are spread around the world) this includes their skills and natural strenght. Humans on the other hand use mostly (but not 100%) internal magicules. This means that monsters are inherently far more effected by anti-magic barriers than humans are. Thus, all the monsters of the Jura Tempest Federatiom have become FAR weaker, while the humans pretty much stayed at the same power level.
What's scary is that Hinata isn't even trying here. She would have still been stronger than Rimuru without using the Holy Field barrier to weaken Rimuru. Hinata isn't even using her Holy Armor. At full power, Hinata is on par with weaker Demon Lords.
I'm sure Rimuru is about low Demon Lord level rn and Hinata is mid-Demon Lord level (weaker than True Demon Lord without Ultimate Skill) but it's still pretty big gap. Makes me wonder where would Primordial of Black be before he is named
@@wanttogetfood Rimuru is weaker than Clayman, Carrion and Frey by a lot before his evolution. If Hinata's disintegration had hit his real body, Rimuru would have been destroyed at that point. Even as strong as Rimuru is before his evolution to True Demon Lord, he was still far weaker than the weakest Demon Lords. He was only stronger than Ramiris because Ramiris is at her weakest point in her child form. Ramiris's true power lies within the Labyrinth itself. Hinata is equal to King Gazel in strength. And Hinata is far stronger than Clayman, Carrion and Frey. She's also stronger than Roy and Luis Valentine. She's weaker than a True Demon Lord because she's not able to reach the True Hero evolution.
hmm yes.... the dark arc is here PS: most of season 2 part 2 (which you're probably watching already) is full of discussion and planning, some people don't like long talks but it's fine for me, dunno about you
There's some wobbly wobbly times wimey...stuff...about that spirit to be sure. Not gonna get into it cos spoilers. Now then. This is where the turn gets dark. We're still in a shade of grey.
One of such moments, where i wanted to grab through the screen and slap some Sense into these poor excuses of a human being... ........this Season has a few of such moments ._.

Monster are mostly magic or more of there life force is magic so a anti magic barrier would weaken them more than a human.
And yet the anti magic barrier wasn't the one that caused the most damage.
@@MegaGreenkirby there one for a trap and one to cut there magic. so who cast what is the thing we need to find out.
Monsters are Magically dependent beings. Being denied access to magic is to them as drowning or suffocating is to us.

7:46 shuna said this barrier makes monsters weaker 6:49 meaning it effects only monsters
Human common passive ability: RACISM

"Hows rimuru actually going to win this?"
Thats the neat part.
He doesnt!
hay that is not a good thing you say if you seen what happen next. But it get darker any ways.
I mean technically he does.
He doesn't die, and ends the fight quickly to get back to Tempest.
Denying victory to your opponent counts as a win.
Honestly the biggest tone shift ever! The emotional ride 😭🫠

That is true but even in their weak state they would have been able to kill the summoned ones if it were not for rimuru's 3 rules

It's not as confusing if you know from the beginning that it switches between time periods.

Its crazy how hinata saved not only rimuru and tempest with this one, but also millions of lifes

yep she is not thinking how powerful he is at the time. But there still more times to come of there little fights.

@Bernie Burton I don't think that Clayman tier people could tank disintegration either
Monsters are made of magic, humans are not, turning off or restricting magic in the environment hinders those that are made from it.

That was honestly some of the best parts of the show... Slime is NOT a shonnen battle manga/anime.
What a good Cliffhanger this chapter end is!
first haft of the first haft now ends. R.I.P Oh Lord Slime.

i say it going to be RED soon with a drop of BLACK before a nice sleep. Then who knows how it jump from then.
i dont see it clarified
rimuru being able to feel murderous intent is not anything special
in anime everyone can send/percive that
A perfect represention of christians in the history.
Oh, if you think this episode pissed you off...
if we tell you who sold him out that would be a spoiler and we cant do that
Although Hinata claimed to idolize Shizu, she didn't even realize that Shizu was the original holder of the Superior Spirit Ifrit.
Ifrit is just the name of that race of spirit.
Why would she know that Rimuru took the exact same Ifrit? There's probably hundreds of not thousands of Ifrits
One of such moments, where i wanted to grab through the screen and slap some Sense into these poor excuses of a human being... ........this Season has a few of such moments ._.
This season is a wtf season.
