E39 540i Failing Differential Noise

In this video I get the wheels spinning to around 40mph in 3rd gear and then drop to neutral. As the wheels slow down, the noise is very prominent.
A replacement different solved the issue.
Car in the video has roughly 180k miles.

Damn. Close but mine is that plus when you are hitting a fan with plastic.
