Looks like more availability than the S&R Dau in Angeles where I go to. I used to go to Costco for lunch while shopping, free samples, and hotdogs! I've never left S&R or Costco with less than a fully packed cart, with usually a pizza on top.

Yes we've had our S&R card for about a month and a half now and when I want something we can't get at Robinson's or SM Supermarkets we go there.
All 3 are about a 10 - 12 minute walk from our condo, but for almost everything both other supermarkets are much cheaper. 😊
I've been in that one in Iloilo a few times, and in my opinion (just from watching this video) it's bigger and has a lot more than ours in San Fernando (Pampanga). 🤔

Just a bit of a tip theres a grocery store in Festive Walk Mall in the building beside the Parking Garage, and I think they got other types of meat from like Italy and other countries last time I went. I even made some carbonara with guanciale, but they cycle through their products every couple of months. Same vacuum sealed packs as the one in 13:00

S&R and Landers sell a lot of Costco/Kirkland products. The items in Costco that come in a 2 or 3 pack are sold there per item. My joke to the Mrs is that you can get everything you want from the states for half the amount and twice the price. Sometimes you can catch a good sale, but for the most part you are going to pay a premium for the imported products. Unfortunately, these stores are not affordable for the average Filipino family.

I think S&R is designed more to cater imported bulk food and produce from US. Because there are many big malls in the PH where you can buy anything and everything, the Appliances are more found in variety and quantity in SM stores. Versus compared to Canada that has lesser and smaller malls, i think Costco there is more for one stop shop. You didn't try the pizza, they are big and good just like NY pizza.

You should try the pizza . It is my favorite item to eat at S&R. Specialty Western food is great to get at S&R, but your meat and veggies are much better at the local markets. They have twice a year huge sales that are great to stock up on supplies. You just need to watch out for these sales. You can get 50% off on many items. Just expect huge lines and a day long event during the sales.

Just saying, the fact that it takes a long time to process is an Ilonggo thing in general. Everyone is a bit slower here. I was at first of course taken aback when I returned from other places and was kind of frustrated that we are a slower people, but when I brought a foreign friend here who noticed it and said it was actually a good thing, because it means the workers are relaxed and not over-stressed, it really opened up my perspective and I'm actually more tolerant of the slower processing here now.
But I'm not tolerant of people being late. If you promise you're going to be there or do it on a certain time, keep your word. You can be slow, but not late.

In my 46 years of life I have never seen anyone eat a chicken wing that way, what tha?! [just had to mention the wing thing] Are S & R stores pretty common in the cities across the islands? It was reassuring to see the "American" brands there (gotta have my Heinz ketchup, lol, but truly) and the prices. I'm 'getting rid of' my stuff here in the USA, FL, and spending the next 14-18 months preparing to move the the Philippines potentially (also considering Saipan). These channels & videos do many of us a great service, thanks! Visiting a place is not the same as knowing the ins-and-outs as a resident, obviously.

We can save by buying wholesale meat like 22 kg of pork or 15 kg of chicken. It's much cheaper than buying in public markets.

Corn fed finished beef is just better beef, it fattens them up giving better marbling in beef a cow will always eat corn over fresh grass If they have the choice. S$R if they have u.s. or Canadian beef looks like one really good thing for beef. New Zealand or Australian beef suck very lean meat and and barely any marbling. Good show thanks for the shopping trip

Instead of a treadmill try a stationary bike while using computer desk. They have special bikes that fit under desks for $200usd. Walking or running while typing is harder than cycling

      Generally no.
but yesterday I noticed that they had very little choice of pork,
no pork steak, cutlet, pork chops or tenderloin, disappointing.
the sausages in Manila are from another supplier (maybe Säntis Deli/Euroswiss Food)
and looks much better than here in Iloilo.
