This is exactly why Western men go to the Philippines in the first place. She talked herself into a divorce like so many Western women do. Quite possibly had some coaching from single friends. So tired of seeing this BS. I wouldn't marry a Western woman at this point if you paid me. They've been gassed up for decades. They are at different phases in life. She wants to pursue something different (modeling and cosplays) and he wants to keep traveling and vlogging. They see a lot of opportunities for themselves in the Philippines, but they can’t achieve their goals at the same time if they stay together. Marriage is about compromise, whether we support our spouse in achieving their dreams while we wait a few years try achieving ours or you both go for it and the marriage doesn’t work out, which is what they decided to do. She’s much younger than he is too which is why their interests didn’t seem to work together. I had a feeling this would happen. Anyway, we wish them well.

She seems like she wants to be the main character of her own show. When you’re married, you’re still two separate persons despite being “one in body.” How can marriage work? By allowing your man to take the lead, and be submissive to one’s husband. That’s how it was from the old patriarchs of the Old Testament, and it’s still the same in our own time. She has the modern feminist view, and can end up being a cat-caring person the rest or her life. Her value in the eyes of men starts falling fast at thirty, while men’s value in the eyes of women keeps going up beyond forty or fifty and even older. He has a major advantage, only she doesn’t know it. Regrets will be too late!

    • @williamriley2644
      @williamriley2644 8 місяців тому

How about NOT being submissive to anyone? If it is in one’s interest to follow the tenets of a religion, then one should do so. I would suggest that Bianca has no obligation to do the same. The “old” testament stretches back back a few thousand years. Homo sapiens stretches back >200,000 years and other Hominids 2.0 million or so - all with the same characteristic. Females reproduce, and we males are generally good for providing genetic diversity. If just up to us, our species would have been lost long ago. Yet we are supposed to be dominant over females? Methinks that has more to do with preference and a bit of bullying than with biology and logic. Most of the rationale (men are smarter, men are more logical, etc.) has been debunked long ago.

Marriage is the longtime promise and commitment to take care for the needs of another person for the rest of your life, as only to think for yourself. Each partner has agreed to work on and maintain this relationship for a lifetime. Unfortunately, we have forgotten how to work on a relationship. For this reason, marriage should be very carefully considered and a person's character carefully evaluated before deciding to take this crucial step. In my opinion, there shouldn't be an exit out of marrage. Why would you want that? You have made a binding commitment. Just like when you give birth to a child, you are making promise to care for this child and to be there for it for the rest of your life. There is no way to dodge the responsibility away from you.

I’m a mum, a grandma and have been married to the same man my husband for nearly forty years prior to that we lived together for five years before we wed. Everything isn’t perfect as we go through there were hurdles but because we love each other we’re still together to this day. Communicate and be honest, bring out everything you feel inside you and try to solve your problems calmly. Well it's not like they both don't come from Western society and culturally they both were raised from Canada so I wouldn't take this situation the same as finding an actual Filipina who was raised in the Philippines and the culture has more emphasis on working through hardships in marriage and Western culture just pushes how easy divorce is as an option. As a Western brought up culture it's not shocking at all as it's super rare to see a foreigner getting divorced from an actual Filipina born and raised here that isn't looking only for money because there are many here lol. Like she explained she "grew" into a different place and found herself and that's exactly a Western outlook on why divorce is so high.....it's totally fine to search and find new things and grow as an individual but in my eyes if you can't grow with the person you choose to marry ( should be a forever decision) then it's actually an excuse to either try new men/woman or the life you want to live is in a class of society your partner is not apart of.

I just looked at a few comments and I feel there's too much negativity towards Bianca.
I just want to comment about how she was feelng as she was doing this video...
As I watched this video, I started to empathize with how she was feeling as she was making this video.
I know it was a difficult subject and sometimes you just ramble.... I've done the same...
Good people sometimes don't say or choose the right words to convey their feelings correctly, and things look bad.
So you have to think about that.
I felt her nervousness at the very end and I thought maybe she was going to cry.... I've been there... I'm sure it was a tough emotional reveal for her.
As a fellow introvert, I know we only have so much energy to appear extroverted... I felt she was running low at the end.
As an introvert, I hope she will do okay on her own... Let's not cast hate at her. She has done us no harm.

So let me get this straight? She said they split up amicably. That Mike did not do anything wrong. He also gave her the channel he worked hard for (very gentleman of him). He treated her right. He is not abusive but actually very supportive of her. And yet she files for divorce because she wanted something more (a fantasy I guess lol, a perfect world that does not exist?) Not happy anymore, more like she got bored. Well lady, such is life! Life is tough, it is not always happy. But I guess it’s just all about her. I wonder how she’ll feel if Mike is the one who decided to divorce for the same reason???? Just curious!!! I hope our Filipinas who look up to her will not imitate this. It’s not a good example. Marriage is a commitment, it’s not something you just let go of because you got bored and felt unhappy.

Bianca… I understand you are an introvert and have difficulty expressing emotions socially.
But, I know one thing, it’s very difficult to find that right person and what you and Michael have is one in a million of souls matching. Just don’t regret going for your passions in life, while leaving your marriage behind. I was young once, but I knew, I wanted my husband beside me always during my struggles and goals. (My husband and I, have been together for 15 years, since I was 17 1/2) Which became our struggles and goals, you kind of have to think about marriage as one person, and not two bodies. That’s how we connect, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
“ I put him before myself, and he puts me before himself.”
Just please rethink all of these emotions. God placed you guys together for a reason, look for signs of the universe to give you understanding. Don’t back down just because silly emotions took over; think deep within yourselves and hearts. ❤ be strong about it, I know you have it in you to dig deep into yourself. You don’t want another guy, who will only be in a relationship with you for themselves.

I have been married to a wonderful woman from the Philippines for 20 years and she is everything I could want in a woman and we will be together for life. You were born in the west and have a western mentality. Western women file for divorce 80% of the time, and that fact is why over 60% of men have left the dating market altogether. They would rather remain single than risk divorce and devastation both spiritually and economically. You seemed to get more and more big headed by all the attention you received there and I saw your attitude go down steadily with time because of it. Michael is a good man that really loved you. You seem to think the grass is greener and want to play the field but this is how things will play out. You will find men to sleep with you but will never commit to a long term relationship. This is especially true of western men who would never want to deal with your western mentality when there are millions of sweet traditional Pilipinas to choose from. Michael on the other hand is a reasonably good looking tall foreigner with blue eyes and will have women resembling models going after him and are lining up as we speak to gladly take your place. It won't be long you will see how happy he is with his new girlfriend (a total knockout mind you) who will be a loyal, loving girlfriend, and eventually his wife for life. You will get to play the field for a while but life flies by then you'll hit the wall and realize no one is going to commit to you when there are younger, prettier, and loving women to choose from that won't leave you because they want to explore themselves. I think there is a quote from Don Henley's New York Minute that says it all: "You find somebody to love in this world, you better hang on tooth and nail", truer words never spoken......

I can understand your feelings. I felt the same. My husband and I “grew apart”, it felt like all the feelings were gone. I had zero desire to get back together, we separated and lived separately for a year but because we have a child, we agreed we should atleast do weekly counseling.
We are now back together and honestly happier than we’ve ever been. I never thought it possible but it happened. Slowly but surely. We had neglected the relationship and hardly communicated. So it broke down. But we built it back better and we’ve learned how to avoid another break down.
Now I regret that we ever separated during that year.
I know you two don’t have children but you did make a vow. I would strongly encourage you to at the bare minimum give counseling a try. Really be open with it and give it enough time to see if it works. If for no other reason then to avoid any possible future regret.

When we couldn’t find the motivation for each other, we got motivated to atleast try for him and it worked.
There was no abuse, cheating, toxic environment, etc. we just felt like we fell out of love, and were roommates basically, which seems to be the same situation with them. Marriage is hard. Counseling can work. I just don’t know if we would’ve tried it without our son but I wanted to hopefully give her encouragement to try. That’s all.

Marriage is tough even on a good day. There are the good, the bad, and the difficult times. All Relationships take work, but both of you have to want to make it work. Michael seems devastated over this decision. You two make a great couple. Since you are Canadian, staying separated for a year in the Philippines will be tough. I hope you have both carefully weighed all the pros and cons of your relationship. I would try a minimum of 3 months of marital counseling first. I was always given good advice that no amount of success will compensate for failure in the home. I hope you and Michael will try to work through it first. I wish you both the best.

    Dear Bianca,
I'm going to take the proper amount of time to write this. So when you have a block of time, here we go...
I know it's tough for you, but you did the right thing by telling us. Making a vlog about it is difficult, because it brings the reality home.
As a much older gentleman, formerly an introvert, what you are going through is understandable; I can relate.
Because you are much younger, who you are, changes quickly. this is normal. So even if your husband was "THE" perfect man for you in the past, everyone changes over time. It is not for me to say if splitting was the right call. Over time, I expect you will have an enhanced appreciation for what you had. This is also normal and part of the learning process. Understanding and accepting this will help you in the future, when you are in a committed relationship. Know, and accept that drift in your future relationship, and you can choose to be happy together, regardless.
Regarding your personal life moving forward, know that you can choose to keep some things private, as you like. Where you draw that line, is up to you.
I recognize your ex as an honorable gentleman; he did the honorable thing to give you the huge subscriber base, no doubt to help you prosper towards your goals and to help meet your needs. Please honor his gift and secure your future, by helping your channel thrive. Much like a plant, it requires care and feeding to be fruitful.
Learn to differentiate between the trolls, and your loyal fan base who will give you constructive criticism and suggestions for you to consider, to improve. You can even ask trusted subscribers for suggestions on what they liked or didn't like, or how to do better.
You don't have to accept every suggestion, but it would be wise to do a reality check to consider if they are right. For example, comments regarding camera shake in the last video. Over time you can learn technical things that will help you as well, like camera settings for different situations. Don't worry too much about it. It will come with time.
Different perspectives can show you your blind spots, and this is very valuable if you want to be able to create great vlogs with ease. and, it WILL get easier.
There are ways you can build your confidence and reach a high standard of excellence. Here are a couple examples.
    - don't say you are bad at this. Instead, understand you are progressing and will get better over time, as you have already noted in this video. Here is one way to accelerate the process.
    - For informational videos that aren't recording live events, such as this one, use this process.
    1. Write down a list of super short bullet points that address everything you want to communicate.
    2. Arrange those bullet points in a logical manner, that flows well.
    3. Turn each bullet point into prose (English, like as you would speak it). Revise as needed to be clear or better quality.
    4. Do a test run, speak all the items in the rearranged order.

Wow, this is a tragedy. Such an amazing couple. What I’ve learned from this I’m 45 years old. I guess I’m gonna stick with Filipinos close to my age.🙌🏻

      I don’t think it’s her age. She’s been westernized so it doesn’t count 😂

Both you have different stories for divorce, but both of you are good to see together as usual as earlier. Look good, understanding and better do not accuse each others for any reason. Both of you have to understand their own mistakes then there is not a problem to get divorce. Hope for the best and think twice please both of you before separating each others. Separating is easy but living with love is difficult, so you both have to think better for both your life.
