Pairing Sony ZV-1 with Grip

Quick little video on pairing your Sony ZV-1 with the Sony GP-VPT2BT vlogging grip. I thought I ran into a little hiccup but had one setting I overlooked so sharing anyway in case anyone wants to see. Pretty simplistic pairing setup and it seems having the grip to lock turns off the Bluetooth and breaks the connection and probably best to conserve batteries. Aloha
Spoiler alert....first day with this camera and it is lame!!!! Returning it.

Oh...I am a big klutz. When it said T, I thought it meant T on the camera, not the grip. When I watched your video, it solved my problem of pairing. Now I cancel that trip to Best Buy. Yay!

Do we have to pair this each time we use the grip? Also, since Bluetooth linked the two, does this mean we have to be connected to WiFi????

Go Taste and See no you don’t not have to be connected to an actual WiFi connection. You simply pair and connect like I explained don’t over complicate it. No need to have WiFi to do it you can be in the middle of the mountains pairing those two. 😃

yup. I did exactly the same thing. Took me like 30 minutes to figure it out and by then I had a nasty headache. But it worked perfectly after that! Wish I would’ve seen your video before I struggled for 30 minutes :-)

Hello ! I have a question . I am with RX100 Vii, I want to connect GRIP GP-VPT2BT. I do everything step by step and finally where you give Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl I give /On/ it doesn't change. :( I see it then it lets me receive but the icon is Cencel no On and when I give OK it stays OFF. Any solution?

@@AtortAerials nothing worked. Called Sony they said to send it back to the shop I got it from. Randomly it worked on whichever camera they tried. Anyway they sent me a new one and it worked right away. Must have just been a dud.
