Dude, NEVER change your presentation style. You got right to the point and the tips were solid. I am so tired of all these UA-cam gurus who spend the first 5 minute just to hear themselves talk. Subscribed and I'll be checking your other videos because I just bought a ZV1. Thanks for making this video.
I purchased the Sony WX-350 which is a teeny tiny 20x zoom camera. This uses the same battery as the ZV-1 so all I need to do is exchange batteries when the ZV-1 needs more power. I can charge the depleted battery in the Sony WX-350 via a micro usb cable connected to a portable power bank when on the move.
The Sony GP-VPT2BT or INKEE IRONBEE shooting grips should be a MUST have. Being able to take a photo or start/stop video without using a second hand is great.
Thanks! I appreciate the info and great video. Yeah, that Sony V1 battery door location has been a pain for me. I shoot a lot with overhead rig - also no way to close the door when using a AC dummy battery. I love the SmallRig L-shape . . .Will definitely check that out.
Got the same cage but detached the wooden grip, applied Talon Grips black rubber grip material to it (usually meant for guns haha) and put it back on. Looks and feels amazing. Mainly did this bc the other cage wasn’t available at the time.
I would really like to use the SmallRig cage with the cable clamp and strap, but after ordering one at the beginning of July, I'm still waiting for it! Also - I really like the way you break out of the cables!
I use a Sony WX-350 as a tiny spare 20x zoom camera and then you have an option of swapping the batteries over when the ZV-1 is flat and extra spying zoom. 🤪
If you had a choice and you already have a crane M2 gimbal....Would you purchase the Zv1 or would you purchase a larger gimbal Weebill S or Ronin SC to use with Canon and Nikon mirrorless cameras?
I want this thing to replace my Canon G7x Mark II, which I now use for my youtube videos. But seeing all other stuff is going to make it more expensive... Great video BTW. You deserve more subscribers.
@@ugglebo1198 Not only did I replace the Canon with the ZV-1, I also got an A7C 😃. But I love how migthy the ZV-1 is. Only in extreme low-light it falls apart. Full Frame to the rescue!
I have a question with regard to camera settings. I own a ZV1 and wanted to make comedy skits like RDCWorld1. What would be the best camera settings for the ZV1 to make my video footage look like theirs?
Hi, I unfortunately lost the USB cable that came with the Sony ZV-1 that was meant to charge/transfer data/stream. Does anyone know where I can order just the Sony cable itself or is there another cord that you guys can recommend that works just as well as the original one? If you guys can help me out and please send me a link for it that'd help tremendously. Thank You!
Hi Ben, for holidays, because of its small size, it would be a good camera for me. Actually i filmed my 2 latest holiday videos for 100 % with the Osmo Pocket and i was positive surprised about the final results 🤗 #filmmakingismypassion best cinematic greetings from germany
Do you have overheating issues? I was thinking of live-streaming with it (mainly vlogging) for about 3 plus hours using a power bank on 1080p 60 or even 4K.
I've ran it for hours recording externally over HDMI and never had it overheat. I've also recorded internally for over an hour straight without issue. However, I haven't used it for extended periods outside on a hot day so your milage may very.
4:51 - Bummer, that wrist strap is out of stock on AWS. I spent $750+ on this Sony camera, and they don't have the common decency to include a wrist strap. 🙄

I ordered the L-bracket and cable clamp. Thanks for the suggestions!
I don't even have this camera yet but I'm so stoked because I'm getting it soon and these accessories are making me even more excited lol!

Very interested in ZV1 and the smallrig cage makes it more compelling as alternative to my smartphone.
Dang, you sold me on the small rig. Thank you!
Perfect camera but I always have a problem with the battery I have one extra one but it is not enough. Thanks for your excellent video.
Just got a zv1. Thinking of getting the L grip. This has been helpful.
Love this thanks so much! Going on hiking trip in a few days and definitely using your links to help me get some awesome accessories!
I’ve been looking for this video. I want to order that wrist strap ✅

Ben is such a stud! ❤😊

You did great job man
Great video! was looking on amazon at a few cages, interesting about that cable clamp... I recommend you adding some links to Canadian Amazon as well.

How heavy is the small rig? I have the Ulanzi and it is quite heavy. I want something light
Hi Ben. We have the new IDOLCAM VlogStar V2 shotgun/Lavalier microphone in one, small size, perfect for ZV1, can we send you one to you to play with?
What is the price of the camera and where to buy it?

I replaced my mark II with it. Most of all i love the microphone jack, haha. Great camera though in many ways!

If you use the cage, does it mean you can use a dummy battery?
Very helpful video :)

does the sony zv-1 not come with a wrist strap?
Is the wooden grip removable via allen key or anything?
Do you think it's a good camera for indoor videos (the casual UA-cam setup like the videos you make)?
The grip and the base plate go together?

I'm sticking with Sony batteries
How did you make that switch between the cameras again please ?
Hi Ben,
Nice list. 👍
Have you tried the Ulanzi BG-2 battery grip. It has a 6800mAh battery so you can use all day without changing batteries.
I haven't but that looks like a great option. Especially if you were going to use some kind of tripod grip anyway.
How much time taken to charge battery by this travel charger?
Any screen protector yet or does the rx100 one fit?

That's! That was super useful! :-)
