Yep you knew it wouldn't be long until I did some upgrades. I think that the stinger Upgrade along with the spektrum 160 on this boat is all it needs, it literally comes ready to freaking go.
I'm curious to see if your boat will leak water into the hull with the TFL strut installed. I have the same exact strut on my old busted up Pursuit boat that's been retired. It used to leak water into the hull through the gap between the stuffing tube and strut opening. It wasn't a tiny leak either - I'd say it collected 12 ounces of water after a 5 minute run. I ended up sealing the gap with silicone once I found the perfect prop angle and the leaking stopped altogether. Hope you don't have the same issue, but now you know how to fix it :) Thanks for the vid Big "B"!
Just got back from running new stinger on the V2 it didn't have water in the boat, It did how ever have excessive grease coming out the stinger/stuffing tube where the stinger butts up to the stuffing tube. I think a peace of silicone tube over the stuffing tube at the stinger base will solve water/grease issue?
Wish Maz Lizzard wasnt sold out of these stingers, I tried to buy one from him..... Oxydean is also working on one with a ball bearing but its not out yet! The SW36 Definitely needs a adjustable stinger!

It's called a tenon liner not exactly sure the size, it comes stock on the Sonicwake. You can get the cabe and corresponding teflon liner from Offshoreelectrics.com

If your using a spektrum 160, your gonna need something like a tppower 4050 1520kv (8s), or the 1700kv (6s) Tp power motors pull quite a bit of power/amps, lower kv motors are gonna be better paired with the spektrum 160. Lower kv motors pull less amperage

I have gotten mine the other day and one of my concerns is the hole on the back side of the stinger isn't big enough to go over the O ring where the stuffing tube goes in so I can mount up flush. There is a o ring in stinger where it flexes but still think there needs to be one around the stuffing tube. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wish I would have looked into the TFL 🤦🏻♂️
I Just installed the same Maddlizard adapter and TFL stinger on my V2. The factory flex shaft isn't long enough to get enough shaft into the motor coupling when running my Oxidean 4519 prop. With my x445 prop I have just enough threads to run one nut.... I bought my adapter used and I'm thinking its thicker than yours being a older version. Any way you can measure your adapter for me? My adapter is measuring in at 6.52mm thick.... I appreciate all your videos man they are great!!
@@IRONCLADRC If yours is 4mm it’s definitely thinner than mine. It looks different at the bottom also. I ground my drive dog key as far as I could to get just enough in the motor coupler and a nut on the prop. That 2mm is what I’m needing to fit my second nut now…. I’m gonna run it with one prop nut and hope she stays on! Lol

I kinda wish I would of run my liner long, I didn't have any water in my boat but I definitely think running the linner long into the stinger would help keep GREASE In & Water out. Got an interesting issue. Just installed one of these. Got some bad vibration. Noticed my stuffing tube is rotating. If i rotate it back into place, giver a small bit of throttle and let off hard the stuffing tube rotates. Anyone have this happen before?
There's a stuffing tube retainer with 2 screws just behind the motor I've used heat shrink with a dab of silicone sandwiched in the retainer to keep the stuffingtube in place

If you look up somewhere they say you just have to put a o ring somewhere to stop the leaking and grease
Your work-around on the collet issue is "Jet Approved". 👍

It's about the same 4mm. I filed my drive dog key way longer so I could move the drive dog forward on th shaft in return i can move the prop forward
